Rapid socio-cultural changes taking place in our country entail an inalienable modernization of all spheres of the material and spiritual life of society. This process has not bypassed the traditional education system. Every day the new concept of higher education makes more and more new requirements for the system of training specialists. A kind of «swing» from technical to humanitarian education is a rather old phenomenon, and today, apparently, the creators of artificial intelligence receive a clear priority in the development of educational programs for training specialists of any direction. «New challenges» of modern society entail new problems, one of them, in our opinion, is changes in the world of values. Therefore, the upbringing of deep respect for the culture of other peoples, the formation of the value-semantic component of the life of the young generation is the most relevant direction in education, which is adequately handled by one of the subsystems of Pedagogics - Ethnopedagogics. The aim of the study is to analyze Ethnopedagogics as a humanitarian resource of the education system. The multidimensional nature of the problem has made it possible to use the methods of interdisciplinary synthesis to form an interconnected complex of ideas about Ethnopedagogics as an integral and diverse scientific knowledge.

Historically, Indian education has been elitist. Currently, India has the second largest education system in the world preceded by China. In order to meet the demand for coveted dental education, private dental colleges have sprung across the country, making the access easy for the students to enroll into dental education programmes after their higher secondary education. This  has lead to a suspicion whether these dental students had been forced into a course that they did not aspire of and even if they actually chose the career, are they performing  as good as they expected to be once the  course commences. This questionnaire survey aims at discussing these issues and to prepare the Indian education system at both school and college level to encompass and implement an orientation and motivation program to overcome this.

<p><em>Wuon</em>, is an initiation rite and a traditional education system found to survive since Maybrat people settled in the central region of the Bird’s Head peninsula of Papua Land. The initiation prepares Maybrat younger men to live mature life. It has a school building (<em>kaWuon</em>), principal (<em>Wuon pam</em>), courses (<em>po</em>), and tutors (<em>Wuon emos</em>). Courses range from healing methods, holding rituals and life skills as a student will be a mature man. All courses are taken in a full one year program by all students from the fresh year (<em>apit masu</em>) to their graduation (<em>Wuon tena</em>). During the school year only Maybrat is spoken in the school area. This is so, since some terms or expressions can only be used and taught there regarding certain traditions or rituals. When the school program is finished, the fresh graduates (<em>Wuon tena</em>) join a graduation ceremony to welcome them into adulthood. As alumni (<em>rae haria</em>) they are responsible to keep this tradition through generation. The rite has potentially passed down Maybrat cultural and intellectual heritages to the younger generations. Today, this unique school system has gradually been abandoned as have precious teachings and rituals. It is known that the next generation grows intertwined with technology, can easily communicate with peers all over the world, adapt to new technological tools very quickly, and is fond of independence. For these reasons, it has become impossible to prepare the next generation for the future with the traditional education system. In a world where digital technology dominates our lives, the flipped learning model has emerged. In this model, the student performs cognitive activities on lower levels such as acquisition information and understanding before the course. The course focuses on higher level cognitive activities such as practice, analysis, evaluation, and synthesis with the support of peers and teachers. Thus, students are transformed from individuals informed by their teachers to individuals who reach information and take it to the next step. In this chapter, the flipped learning model was introduced; its benefits and limitations, researches about the model, recommendations for implementation are discussed.
