The purpose of this chapter is to explore and determine the most effective classroom management techniques and practices. This chapter includes a full review and critical analysis of research and literature associated with classroom discipline and ongoing management to promote positive learning. Owing to the diverse population of learners, changes in cultural behaviours, and the social and emotional pressure children experience, the classroom environment has become disorderly. Teachers need an effective classroom management plan that would help bring order and productive learning back into the classroom. As teachers learn more about a variety of classroom management approaches, they can sample techniques that would fit their needs. Not all classroom management programmes are geared to the same grade levels. Therefore, teachers can choose programmes that will best satisfy the needs of their own classroom's grade level. Teachers can choose between an approach for individual classrooms and a whole school approach to enhance learner behaviour.

The influence of media and method and their recent dramatic impact on learning have been discussed by many researchers in the instructional technology field and spurred the Clark-Kozma debate. This chapter explores the standpoints of preservice information and communication technology teachers attending a state university in Turkey. The findings are presented as a guide to educators and instructional designers, especially in their preservice research and practice. Participants were selected by convenience sampling, and their opinions were obtained following a debate on the topic. A questionnaire was administered for this purpose that had been prepared by the researchers. The results of the survey were augmented by detailed observations of the debate. Most of the participants agree that new media provides and facilitates the emergence of new methods or changes in existing methods, and learning and teaching benefit from approaches that combine the two.

An important need in the conditions of modern education is the development and application of innovative technologies in the teaching of students. Nowadays it has become very important to be a creative person. The formation and development of creative personality requires the coverage of the entire period of human life. One of the directions of the educational organization should be the development of creative thinking of students. Since creative thinking is important to society, it is necessary to develop strategies that are conducive to its development. Various strategies such as creative problem solving, lateral thinking, and synectics have been devised to facilitate growth in thinking and creativity. This study investigated the effect of one of those techniques, synectics, and its effect on schoolchildren.

New approaches, methods, and tools are necessary for the implementation of the modern management system in educational organizations. The main purpose of this chapter is to determine using the lean method in foreign language teaching. The lean method is new in educational systems, but it is used in different spheres of industries all over the world. This chapter shows the history, its implementation, experiments, and how it can be used and developed further. Lean in education will create a clear understanding of its importance on lean process and increase the motivations of administrations, teachers, and students.

This chapter presents an example of STEM and English language teaching integration. In this study, it was aimed to improve students' English language skills and increase their engagement with the appliance of STEM. In this descriptive study, a way of integrating STEM into the language teaching process was explained with an applied example. The research is of qualitative design with the implementation of action research method. As a result, the implementation improved students' language skills and gave students the chance of using knowledge of other disciplines in English courses while increasing their engagement. Additively, the implementation developed students' 21st century skills. It is thought this study can be an inspiration for English teachers to apply various approaches in their teaching processes. In addition, the study can be accepted as an example of the contribution of STEM to English language teaching process. Moreover, the study is a representation of teacher research, and this research can be assessed as an inspiration for teachers to turn their practices into research.

The aim of this study is to reveal the analogy, which is an essential part of human thought in comprehending and comprehending concepts, and also an educational method compiled from the studies made in the literature. Analogies are a type of model, and their main purpose is to simplify and thus help us focus on the attributes of a particular part or a specific feature. In this chapter, the analogy method as an educational method is discussed in detail, the types of analogy, the issues to be considered in use and the development in technology, and the active use of the analogy method with technology are explained.

Just like any other area in the world, which is quickly changing and converting in line with the scientific and technological developments, the models, approaches, and paradigms set forth as elements of learning and teaching have also undergone alterations and transformations from past to present. While the learning-teaching theories and approaches in the last century, which are based on perennialist and essentialist education philosophies and positivism paradigm, were deeming the learners as passive receivers of external stimuli and focused on the observable and measurable behaviors, the learning-teaching theories and approaches in our century, which are developed around the progressivism and re-constructionism philosophies and post-positivism paradigm, have an understanding that allocates the responsibility to the learner and adopts a lifelong learning by doing and experiencing. In this chapter, a general outlook on the learning and teaching theories and approaches will be briefly carried out.

Connectedness is essential to human growth and learning. This chapter presents an analysis on connections-based learning from four distinct frameworks: intrapersonal, interpersonal, interdisciplinary, and media-based. It includes a model that shows different levels of interactions in adult learning. Adults can learn anything and everything about any subject through the connections they establish with the world in a lifelong process based on the way we connect with ourselves, with others with different domains, and through different media. Learning is attained as in the weaving process of a seamless web that changes the way people see themselves and the world. Everything becomes interconnected, resembling a mesh.

In this chapter, the importance of equipping educators with transformative learning approach to implement sustainability education in higher education settings has been discussed. The chapter talks about sustainability education as a way to achieve sustainable development and transformative learning approach to implement sustainability education effectively in higher education settings. The entry discusses the literature introducing the prominent concepts and ideas for transformative learning approach and establishes the importance of providing educators with the right pedagogy for effective implementation of sustainability education, in higher education settings, using transformative learning approach. In the final section, the authors conceptualized a framework, based on literature review, highlighting the learning experiences and the pedagogies required to bring transformative learning approach to practice in the context of sustainability education in higher education settings.

It is known that the next generation grows intertwined with technology, can easily communicate with peers all over the world, adapt to new technological tools very quickly, and is fond of independence. For these reasons, it has become impossible to prepare the next generation for the future with the traditional education system. In a world where digital technology dominates our lives, the flipped learning model has emerged. In this model, the student performs cognitive activities on lower levels such as acquisition information and understanding before the course. The course focuses on higher level cognitive activities such as practice, analysis, evaluation, and synthesis with the support of peers and teachers. Thus, students are transformed from individuals informed by their teachers to individuals who reach information and take it to the next step. In this chapter, the flipped learning model was introduced; its benefits and limitations, researches about the model, recommendations for implementation are discussed.
