<p><em>The purpose of this study is to find out and explain the concept of understanding of hadith in one day one hadith in whatsap which includes the understanding of hadith material. The emergence of One Day One Hadith (ODOH) itself only exists in contemporary times now, because it is the effect of the rapid development of technology and information and communication that is increasingly sophisticated. Especially in the media of Whatsaap there is a textualist (closed), hermeneutic, and contextualist understanding of the Prophet's hadith, so that the message or message conveyed can be disseminated and practiced. Whatsaap is one of the many social media that can communicate anything to humans in various regions, especially information about the hadith. This study is based on the assumption that the dynamics of hadith studies in the global era and social media dias are at least the impact of the emergence of traditions contained in whatsaap. The birth of one day one hadith effort itself is at least not departing from an empty space. Socially the system adopted in one day one hadith (ODOH) has given its own color for Indonesia, especially Muslims. With the step of spreading the hadith one day one hadith, the point is to make it easier to find and understand the hadith. Therefore, further analysis and study of the concept of understanding in one day one hadith in whatsap in the current era. This research uses a type of library research (lebrary research) that is research by collecting data and studying books or library literature related to this discussion. Then in data management using descriptive and analysis methods (content analysis). Whereas in drawing conclusions using the deductive method in which the collected data is processed systematically and selectively, then conclusions are drawn which are the results of the study. The results of this study indicate that the hadith lives up to the end of time, in understanding it it is necessary to use various concepts of understanding including textual, hermeneutic, and contextual, so that in understanding the hadith is not confusing when dealing with problems in contemporary times now. </em><em></em></p>

Crisis management and communication are increasingly being challenged by the impact of social media as a forum for crisis communication. Among the many roles that crisis management services embrace, managing outreach information and communication are increasingly important. This study presents a systematic review of articles pertaining to the application of social media to support crisis management. Our review presents that, Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT) is the most dominant theory for crisis communication and twitter is the dominant social network site. Also, the review identifies decision-making, community resilience, privacy issues, information sharing and seeking, social media based crisis communication for future studies.

Perkembangan pesat teknologi informasi dan komunikasi turut mendukung proses transformasi pengetahuan, ideologi serta paham kegamaan, sehingga remaja dengan mudah mengkonsumsi berbagai paham (terutama radikalisme) melalui media sosial. Meskipun remaja tidak terlibat dalam suatu kelompok maupun kajian-kajian tertentu, namun beberapa remaja terpapar paham radikal karena intens mengakses paham radikal melalui media sosial. Media sosial dalam konteks ini dipandang sebagai pintu masuk paham-paham radikal sehingga dikuatirkan paham ini akan memengaruhi remaja secara massif akibat penggunaan media sosial tanpa pengawasan pihak terkait. Beberapa permasalahan, diantaranya; beragamnya paham-paham yang menyebar di kalangan remaja, beragamnya strategi dakwah di kalangan remaja, sulitnya membedakan perilaku kelompok kegamaan yang radikal, banyaknya kegiatan-kegiatan remaja yang tidak dianggap tidak sesuai. Tujuan Penelitian adapun tujuan penelitian ini yakni sebagai berikut: Pertama, Mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis tentang paham-paham keagamaan di kalangan remaja. Kedua, Mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis bentuk strategi dakwah di tengah pluralitas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ada tiga strategi dakwah plural dalam merawat pluralitas di kalangan remaja: Pertama, strategi kultural, Kedua Startegi Struktural, Ketiga Staregi New Media.The rapid development of information and communication technology also supports the process of transformation of knowledge, ideology and understanding of religiosity, so that adolescents can easily consume various understandings (especially radicalism) through social media. Even though adolescents are not involved in a particular group or studies, some adolescents are exposed to radical understanding because it is intense in accessing radical understanding through social media. Social media in this context is seen as the entrance to radical notions so it is feared that this understanding will affect adolescents massively due to the use of social media without the supervision of related parties. Some problems, including; the variety of understandings that spread among adolescents, the variety of propaganda strategies among adolescents, the difficulty of distinguishing radical religious group behavior, the many teenage activities that are not considered inappropriate. Research Objectives As for the purpose of this study are as follows: First, Identifying and analyzing religious understandings among adolescents. Second, describe and analyze the form of da'wah strategy in the midst of plurality. Based on the results of the study there are three da'wah strategies in treating plurality among adolescents: First, cultural strategy, Second Structural Strategy, Third New Media Strategy.

Global era with its advanced technology has provided small terrorist groups a powerful instrument—social media which is intentionally or unintentionally used to serve their interest. As believed, the terrorist does their action by giving significant impact to publicity. As a terrorist organization, ISIS realized the potentials of social media-oriented terror, in terms of its effectiveness in reaching huge audiences. The spread of the ideology, which is called jihadi virus, is limited in the physical world, however it is possible to spread within social media regardless of time and space. Discursive framework method in constructivism paradigm has led to a conclusion that reality constructed in social media such as twitter, facebook, whatsApp, BBM, path, and other applications are carefully planned in a form of disinformation tactics (propaganda), economic pressure, socio-cultural, and ideology. The impact of social media reveals interesting results that ISIS has formed symbolizations and image changes and raised attention towards the issue. In communication terrorism Joseph Turman’s approach, as one of constructionist approach, it analyzed that ISIS actions are rhetorical actions (such what messages are conveyed, whether it is a persuasive meaning and symbols that appear; acts of terrorism that is produced and delivered to the wider world; elements of rhetoric including labels, definitions, and symbolism in terrorism; public orator about terrorism; and the relationship between terror and the media), in both written and spoken language, there is always possibility for manipulation and receptive communication.[Era global dengan perkembangan teknologinya seakan telah memberi kelompok teroris suatu instrumen yang kuat- media sosial secara sengaja atau pun tidak sengaja untuk melayani hasrat mereka. Bahkan diyakini lebih dari itu, tindakan teroris sendiri tidak akan berdampak bila tidak terpublikasi secara luas. Organisasi teroris ISIS sangat menyadari potensi media sosial sebagai sarana yang dapat diorientasikan pada aksi-aksi teror mereka, dengan kata lain secara efektif untuk meraih audiens yang besar. Media sosial seperti tweeter, facebook, whatsapp, BBM, path, ipad, dan aplikasi jaringan lainnya tampaknya memang mampu mempromosikan perbuatan-perbuatan mereka secara efektif. Dampak lintas media sosial mengungkapkan hasilnya bahwa ISIS mampu memainkan simbolisasi dan citra dan meningkatkan tensi kepentingan pada isu-isu seputar mereka. Melalui “teori Communicating Terorrism” yang dilahirkan Joseph Turman (2010) menjelaskan bahwa aksi-aksi ISIS bisa dikatakan lebih dari tindakan retorika (sebagai suatu simbol-simbol dan pesan-pesan), yang mereka tuliskan dan ungkapkan melalui bahasa yang penuh makna, yang berpotensi selalu manipulatif dan komunikasi yang reseptif. Gamification, or the use of game elements in non-game contexts, has become a popular and increasingly accepted method of engaging learners in educational settings. However, there have been few comparisons of different kinds of courses and students, particularly in terms of discipline and content. Additionally, little work has reported on course instructor/designer perspectives. Finally, few studies on gamification have used a conceptual framework to assess the impact on student engagement. This paper reports on findings from evaluating two gamified multimedia and social media undergraduate courses over the course of one semester. Findings from applying a multidimensional framework suggest that the gamification approach taken was moderately effective for students overall, with some elements being more engaging than others in general and for each course over time." Post-term questionnaires posed to the instructors/course designers revealed congruence with the student perspective and several challenges pre- and post-implementation, despite the use of established rules for gamifying curricula.

Media convergence and the incorporation of new narratives typical of the consumption habits of younger audiences in the social media environment have led to the proliferation of a wide variety of formats and types of content in the media ecosystem through which the editorial content offered to brands is being distributed. This qualitative research, using in-depth interviews with a qualified sample of branded content managers from the main Spanish media, allows us to determine the main characteristics of the native advertising demanded by advertisers. The results corroborate observations that content channelled through more sophisticated consumption experiences, using both multimedia and interactivity with a clear transmedia approach, tends to be better received by the audience and, therefore, in greater demand by brands. It also confirms that both video and social media formats have grown exponentially when it comes to providing an outlet for branded content. Based on the results obtained, a proposed classification of these products, including definitions, has been drawn up so they can be publicised to the professional world, offering the reflection and precision that their rapid development has not allowed until now.

The article outlines the impact of negative news on the minds of recipients, describes the reasons for the audience’s demand for negative information and represents the quantitative data of destructive information in the media space of Ukraine, USA and Russia. The rapid development of communication technologies, which contributes to the creation and dissemination of the largest volumes of information in human history, and therefore negative news, explains the relevance of the chosen topic. The main objectives of the study are news headlines that appear in the feed of the Google News aggregator (regional versions of the United States, Ukraine and Russia).

In this digital era, young people are very vulnerable to negative things, therefore Islam as a religion which is rahmatan lil alamin, must take appropriate and fast actions to save young generations of Islam from getting lost in the darkness of cyberspace life. This article is prepared with a library research approach by conducting a literature review and collecting data from various sources and subsequently, the data is analyzed descriptively by presenting facts or findings which are then theoretically reviewed. Therefore da’wah of digital era really must use the media, especially new media. The development of communication technology has changed the way people communicate and interact. Nowadays, almost everyone uses the internet to send, search, and read information. Therefore, the Qur’an Surah An-Nahl: 125 offering da'wah methods of digital era have to be able to attract sympathetic Millennials, presenting representative, interactive and innovative da'wah methods through social media is the best way to save the young generations of Islam in the future.

The impact of social media use on behavior among Students of Higher Education institutions nowadays needs to be given serious attention. Many teenagers are influenced by the views shared on social media and cause the emergence of negative behavior problems at home or in educational institutions. The existence of these problems among teenagers is definitely a factor or cause that needs to be identified. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify the level of frequency of social media use and its relationship with the appearance of behavior among community college students in terms of socializing, communication, dressing, and entertainment. Social media and its impact on adolescents is a very broad issue and needs to be studied in depth all the time as its development and rapidity are always happening. The research only focused on three types of social media like Facebook, Youtube, and Instagram. This study was conducted qualitatively using the library research method by making research on books and journals. The findings that have been identified show that there are many advantages and disadvantages of social media for adolescents, especially in the aspects studied. This study is very important because it can make students aware that social media can influence negative morals and help all educators at all levels improve their teaching system by emphasizing the relevant elements to avoid negative social problems among male and female students.

Initially, the Internet and the media were invented to facilitate information and communication between people. Recently, information has become easily accessible and unverified, so its quality has begun to deteriorate every day. It can be noted that the literacy rate of the population is falling significantly. Many speech and grammatical errors are made not only by schoolchildren, but also by adults and educated people. There is concern about the impact of the Internet on the younger generation. Now, under the influence of mass communications, new priorities and values are emerging, and speech and its standards are changing. Our research has revealed that the Internet and the media have a negative impact on the speech of each generation. But most of all, children are affected by this, since they are the main users of the Internet and cannot select correct and verified information.

The role of the media in informing the public has long been a central topic in journalism studies. Given that social media platforms have become today’s major source of news, it is important to understand the impact of social media use on citizens’ knowledge of current affairs. While people get news from multiple platforms throughout the day, most research treats social media as a single entity or examines only one or two major platforms ignoring newer social media platforms. Drawing on news snacking framework, this study investigates how using some of today’s most popular social media platforms predicts users’ current affairs knowledge, with particular attention to Snapchat and its news section Discover. A survey conducted in the United States (N=417) demonstrated that each of the platforms is distinct: Twitter is a strongly positive predictor of knowledge, Facebook a marginally significant negative predictor, Reddit a significantly negative predictor and Instagram not a significant predictor. Overall Snapchat use has no significant association with users’ knowledge of current affairs, whereas Discover use has a negative relationship. Further analysis revealed that mere exposure to Snapchat is positively related to soft-news knowledge and attention to Discover is negatively related to hard-news knowledge.
