The increase of employees' performance has become the focus of all departments in the government, state-owned companies and private sectors. Employees' performance issue is still a big task, especially for the government. The society has their own perception about slow performance of civil servants. One of the efforts made by the Ministry of Finance to improve their staffs was by creating key performance indicators. By creating the target and measures of the employees' performance, Ministry of Finance was intended to motivate the government or other sectors to make improvements. One of the measurements was the budget performance. The implementation of the key performance indicators for the budget was started in 2009. To know the priority implementation, the data for the budget was compared with the budget realization in the previous year and after. The result showed that the budget in 2008 and 2009 was statistically equal in number.The budget in 2010 was also the same. However, from 2011 until 2014 the analysis showed there were differences in budget spending. It showed that priority indicators had impact in improving business process, although it needed several years. The BPPK budgets relatively increased year by year, but if we see it from the budget realization until the third quarter, it was still relatively small. It showed that the budget absorbance was still small at the end of the year. The budget plan hasn't been conducted well because there was a huge sum of budget at that end of the year. The huge sum happened because there was budget added at the end of the year so the realization and the prognosis are adjusted with the budget. It was also because not all sectors had the commitment to realize the budget planning. High level target would motivate all sectors to try harder to realize it. The continuous monitoring and evaluation by the top manager would have the impact to strengthen the middle and operational managers' commitment. Without the commitment from all departments involved, the employees' performance improvement wouldn't happen.

AbstractThe Nicaragua case demonstrates the Court's competence in receiving and interpreting evidence, and in making reasoned findings of fact, even in the most complicated evidentiary context, as is often presented in cases involving use of force and armed conflict. The Court applied well-established standards for evaluating the conflicting evidence presented to it. In particular, the Court determined that greater weight should be given to statements against interest made by high-level government officials than to a state's self-serving declarations. The Court also determined that statements by disinterested witnesses with first-hand knowledge should receive greater weight than mere statements of opinion or press reports. In applying these guidelines, the Court found, correctly, that (i) the United States had used military and paramilitary force against Nicaragua both directly and indirectly, by organizing, financing, arming, and training the Contra guerrillas to attack Nicaragua; (ii) the evidence did not support a finding that the United States exercised direct control over the Contras’ day-to-day operations; and (iii) there was no evidence that Nicaragua supplied arms to guerrillas fighting against the government of El Salvador during the relevant period, or carried out an armed attack against that state. While Judge Schwebel's dissent criticized the last of these findings, in fact, the evidence fully supported the Court's conclusion. In subsequent decisions during the past 25 years, the Court has continued to rely on the approach to evidence first elaborated in the Nicaragua case and has continued to demonstrate its competence as a finder of fact, including in cases involving armed conflict (Bosnia Genocide) and complex scientific and technical issues (Pulp Mills).

Indonesia reported the first case of Covid-19 on March 2, 2020. Data as of March 31, 2020 showed that there were 1.528 confirmed cases and 136 deaths. The Covid-19 death rate in Indonesia is 8.9%, the highest in Southeast Asia. After confirming the first case, the Government of Indonesia took various countermeasures to reduce the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in various sectors. Not only the health sector but also the economic sector has suffered no less serious impacts due to this pandemic. At the family level, the small and middle levels of society become weak and decline, this is due to restrictions on community activities. Due to these conditions, it is necessary to make efforts that we must do to be able to restore the economic condition of the family by utilizing the potential that exists around it. This service was carried out at the Women Farmers Group called ‘Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Maju Bersama’  Pelempat, Meninting Village, West Lombok District, West Nusa Tenggara Province. The method used in this activity is implemented in 4 (four) activity stages, namely 1) Preparation, 2) Socialization, 3) Activity Implementation, and 4) Monitoring and Evaluation. The results of the activity showed that members of  Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Maju Bersama have understood the technique of developing oyster mushroom cultivation and have high motivation to become entrepreneurs through cultivating oyster mushrooms as well as making it to increase people's income in the New Normal Era of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Relevance of the study: Based on data collection and analysis, present research made it possible to identify how the activities devised by a group-buying website on Facebook may exert influence on the KPIs for success.Purpose: The main task of present research is to answer the following question: can a digital social network be considered an effective tool for the improvement of key performance indicators (KPI) of a group-buying website?Findings: The research was conducted by considering data collected via mechanical observation using the computational tools Facebook Dashboard and Google Analytics. Data were analyzed using the means of comparison and a Pearson correlation coefficient, which demonstrated positive results of the campaign. When compared, the key performance indicators of the web site relating to Facebook displayed a larger dynamics than the general performance indicators of this web site. By the correlation coefficient, it was found that a higher power range of the Facebook Enterprise´s fan page could result in the increased traffic page hits of the examined web site, and an increase, mainly, in the number of new visitors.Originality / value: This paper analyzes some key performance indicators of a promotional campaign on Facebook for an online group-buying website in the city of Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo State, Brazil.Practical implications: Based on the collected data and performed analysis, it was found that the promotional activities on Facebook can increase the flow of new visitors and attract potential buyers to a group-buying website.Future research: It is recommended to perform further research for other social networks and in other countries.

We adopt a multi-theoretic approach to investigate a previously unexplored phenomenon in extant literature, namely the differential impact of ownership identity and director dominate shareholding on the performance of emerging market firms. The main research question addressed is, whether the impact of this relationship is conditional on the identity of the block investor. First, the relationship between overall block ownership and firm performance is tested by employing multiple regressions on 500 firm-year observations for the period from 2007 to 2011. Then, the block ownership is classified as the state, individuals, insiders, financial institutions, corporate and foreign investors and the influence of these identities on firm performance is examined. It was found that only the ownership categories such as the government, institutions and foreign ownership have positive influence on the firm performance. The results also indicate that high level of insider ownership also negatively associated with the firm performance. The main contribution of this paper is the examination of the relationship between block ownership and firm performance from the perspective of the identity of investors

This chapter explores ngā takepū relationships that positively influence kaiako and ākonga engagement within Te Wānanga o Aotearoa. The focus is on the impact of whanaungatanga, wairuatanga, whakapono, kaitiakitanga, and āhurutanga within the ako process. The approach of being accountable and responsible through key performance indicators are compared to ngā takepū as hoa haere or kaitiaki that are markers of a softer approach. Ngā takepū advocacy of responsibility and accountability are explained as well as their gentle touch as constant reminders of what is just, fair, honorable, and right in the pursuit of mauri ora for all.

Abstract Objective The aim of the study was to evaluate a technological solution in the form of an App to implement and measure person-centredness in nursing. The focus was to enhance the knowledge transfer of a set of person-centred key performance indicators and the corresponding measurement framework used to inform improvements in the experience of care. Design The study used an evaluation approach derived from the work of the Medical Research Council to assess the feasibility of the App and establish the degree to which the App was meeting the aims set out in the development phase. Evaluation data were collected using focus groups (n = 7) and semi-structured interviews (n = 7) to capture the impact of processes experienced by participating sites. Setting The study was conducted in the UK and Australia in two organizations, across 11 participating sites. Participants 22 nurses from 11 sites in two large health care organizations were recruited on a voluntary basis. Intervention Implementing the KPIs and measurement framework via the APP through two cycles of data collection. Main Outcome Measures The main outcome was to establish feasibility in the use of the App. Results The majority of nurse/midwife participants found the App easy to use. There was broad consensus that the App was an effective method to measure the patient experience and generated clear, concise reports in real time. Conclusions The implementation of the person-centred key performance indicators using the App enhanced the generation of meaningful data to evidence patient experience across a range of different clinical settings.

Within the ramp-up phase of highly automated assembly systems, the planning effort forms a large part of production costs. Due to shortening product lifecycles, changing customer demands, and therefore an increasing number of ramp-up processes, these costs even rise. So assembly systems should reduce these efforts and simultaneously be flexible for quick adaption to changes in products and their variants. A cognitive interaction system in the field of assembly planning systems is developed within the Cluster of Excellence “Integrative production technology for high-wage countries” at RWTH Aachen University which integrates several cognitive capabilities according to human cognition. This approach combines the advantages of automation with the flexibility of humans. In this paper the main principles of the system's core component—the cognitive control unit—are presented to underline its advantages with respect to traditional assembly systems. Based on this, the actual innovation of this paper is the development of key performance indicators. These refer to the ramp-up process as a main objective of such a system is to minimize the planning effort during ramp-up. The KPIs are also designed to show the impact on the main idea of the Cluster of Excellence in resolving the so-called Polylemma of Production.

ABSTRACT: The paper describes a continuous monitoring methodology in an environment with multiple cues indicative of fraud and errors. A case study describes an application by a restaurant franchisor on the monthly sales numbers reported by franchisees. The system scores each restaurant based on variables judged to be possible indicators of fraud or errors in the monthly sales reports. The variables are weighted according to their perceived importance to obtain a final risk score for each restaurant. The output is a small set of audit targets believed to have a high risk of reporting errors. The variables can be categorized as being (1) key performance indicators, (2) statistical irregularities, (3) motivation or pressure related variables, and (4) variables related to compliance with the franchising agreement.

In the presented work, an attempt to assess the correlation between the performance indicators of several sectors of the Russian economy and a set of restrictive measures taken by the Government of our country against the backdrop of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic is made. In addition, a comparative analysis of the impact of this pandemic on the neighboring countries of Russia, which, in the recent past, were part of the USSR and, therefore, have similar health care organization structures, is carried out.
