Introduction. The changing role of family in the society and the increased rate of divorce highlight the problem of socio-psychological factors that contribute to the emergence of marital conflicts caused by spouses' dysfunctional interpersonal communication. Aim: to determine a set of instruments for studying socio-psychological factors in interpersonal communication dysfunction in marital conflicts. Results. A proposed complex of instruments for studying of socio-psychological factors in interpersonal communication dysfunction in marital conflicts partners includes three groups of tools. The first group is aimed at studying the features of marriage partners' interpersonal interaction in conflict situations and their satisfaction with marriage. The second group includes focuses on studying micro-level socio-psychological factors (the characteristics of marital partners that affect their interpersonal communication in conflict situations). The third group consists of tools for studying meso-level socio-psychological factors (the features of family interaction with social environment and marriage partners' work-life balance, which can contribute to the emergence of marital partners' interpersonal communication dysfunction). Conclusions. The proposed set of instruments for studying the effects of socio-psychological factors on marriage partners' communication dysfunction in conflicts can be used by family counselors, family mediators, family therapists, and family coaches. The set of instruments can also be used for training future marriage partners, in particular, for marital conflict-management training.

Conflict as a social phenomenon has an important role in our lives, which is why it is so important to understand this phenomenon. That involves recognizing the mechanisms of emergence, development, methods of study and their resolution. The practice of social work and previous treatments with spouses shows that the marital relationship as an interpersonal relationship represents the specific basis for the emergence of conflicts. The obtained results are part of a study on the characteristics of marital relations and their influence on the choice of the spouses’ patterns of behavior during conflict situations. The results suggest that the choice of different strategies of behavior in a situation of conflict among our respondents mainly depends on: the degree of insistence in fulfillment of personal interests, and the level of cooperation in addressing the interests of others. As a dominant style in marital conflict resolution our respondents use the avoiding style. During the study, gender differences between spouses, how they perceive, understand, and resolve marriage conflicts were found. Women are more critical toward their abilities to resolve conflict. In such situations they often use negative behavior, compared to men who are more likely to deny or avoid situations of conflict. Marriages where violence in involved are mainly based in destructive patterns of behavior in marital conflict resolution.

This research aims to determine the pettern of communication between Coaches and students in disciplining the memorization of the Qir’an at the Baitul Al-Muqarramah Foundation in Bone Regency. Qualitative research methods are used in this research by conducting interviews.  Interviews wew conducted with informants who were Coaches at the Baitul Al-Muqarramah Foundation in Bone Regency. The results showed the Coaches in the Baitul Al-Muqarramah Foundation used verbal and nonverbal communication. There are two communication petterns that are used there are also two namely interpersonal communication petterns and group communication petterns. The petterns of group communication is more dominant used in this foundation, while interpernonal communication is usually applied to students who are less optimal in directing group communication. Where the pettern of group communication is more dominant applied in the process of direction every day. As with interpersonal communication, this communication pettern is usually applied to a particular situation. For axample, there is one student who cannot be fostered if trough the communication petterns of the group. Proven trought group communication implemented by the Coach, able to discipline student to memorize the Qur’an and make student achieve targets that have been determined with a dominant scale. Even trought this group communication, the time of a Coach can be more efficient than interpersonal communication which requires the trainer to meet one-onone with his students. The obstacle factors of the Coaches are so unable to discipline the memorization of the Qur’an by their students namely; first, the psychological factors and habit factor od the students.

Аbstract. The issues of tolerance in young people in the process of learning in an educational institution are analyzed. At present, representatives of different cultural traditions, principles of life are forced to share one geographical space. This rapprochement, as real experience shows, does not always proceed peacefully and calmly. Interethnic (intercultural) tension, right up to open confrontation, ethnocentrism, xenophobia - all this testifies to serious problems in modern social relations. There is an opinion that in spite of all the relevance and discussion of this topic in broad social science circles there are no unified approaches to understanding the essential characteristics of the phenomenon of tolerance, there is no understanding of who and how tolerant relations are possible, what are the mechanisms for achieving this goal, Some people see it as a kind of a panacea through which only it is possible to save and preserve civilization, while others believe that it serves only to symbolically hide and cure the real schism and indifference that humanity is exhibiting. A theoretical analysis of the essence of the concept of «tolerance» is reduced to the fact that tolerance by origin is a social category (arises and manifests itself in the process of human interaction with society, with man); it fixes a special (non-violent) type of relationship between a person and society. A characteristic feature of tolerance is the stability of manifestations: at the level of consciousness, it manifests itself in the form of an individual’s attitude, and at the level of behavior as a conscious action or deed, as co-creation. Often, researchers formulate such tasks of psychological and pedagogical activity on the formation of ethnic tolerance of students as the formation of a value attitude to one’s own and other ethnocultures; the formation of motivation for intercultural cooperation; fostering a positive attitude towards cultural differences, the development of intercultural sensitivity; development of skills and skills for effective interaction with representatives of different cultures in the spirit of peace, ethnic tolerance and mutual understanding. Therefore, an important condition for joint activities is the creation in groups with a mixed national composition of an atmosphere of inter-ethnic understanding and tolerance, where everyone, regardless of ethnicity, feels comfortable, open to interaction with others, where ethical standards of behavior in interpersonal communication are observed. That is, the cognitive and emotional components of tolerance are most significant when there are contradictions, clashes of values, dissent in conflict situations. Wherein a tolerant behavior is characterized by the ability not to actualize the conflict, which in turn is determined by the level of upbringing and education.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between maritaladjustment and subjective well being with marital conflicts Research retrieve datathrough a questionnaire given to 40 couples (80 subjects) with the marriage between 5-10 years of age, have children and live together without any other family in thehousehold, such as parents or in-laws, or other relatives who are also factors thatintervene in the conflict. The result of multiple regression analysis found the value of F =7.422; R = 0.402; p = 0.001 (p <0.01), yangmembuktikan that marital adjustment andsubjective well-beingmemiliki significant correlation with marital conflicts. It found thatthe marital adjustment and subjective well-being able to contribute negatively to themarital conflicts of 16.2%. Results of correlation between marital adjustment withmarital conflict obtained by t = -3.122; r = -0.334; p = 0.003 (p <0.05), which showed asignificant negative correlation between marital adjustment with marital conflicts.Factor subjective well being with marital conflict obtained value t = -2.636; r = -0.288;p = 0.010 (p <0.05), which means it has proved the existence of a significant negativecorrelation between subjective well being with marital conflicts.Keywords : marital adjustment, subjective well-being, marital conflict

This study focused on conflict resolution in multi-racial , co-educational schools in the Phoenix region and the development of strategies for the training of management and staff to resolve conflict. It has been observed that principals in the Phoenix region frequently seek the intervention of third party adjudicators to resolve conflicts experienced at schools . This often prevents the timeous and expeditious resolution of conflicts . The inability to resolve conflict judiciously impinges on job satisfaction, productivity and human relationships in schools. A literature survey of conflict revealed that conflict in organisations is endemic and inevitable . Conflicts at work, when dealt with systematically , can have positive rather than destructive effects. It is the writer's belief that conflict can be reduced or eliminated if there is a conflict resolution programme in schools which is designed to train both management and staff in conflict resolution. The writer provided a theoretical understanding of conflict through an analysis of the underlying dynamics of conflict , the effects of organisational conflict and the conflict process. The various levels and areas of conflict in schools were examined. The research examined three approaches to conflict management , evaluated the various conflict handling styles and applied these strategies to conflict situations experienced at schools.

Introduction: Intimate partner violence refers to any behaviour within an intimate relationship that causes emotional, physical and sexual problems to victims. Coping strategy as significant factors in mental health is defined as behavioral and psychological attempts to control stress and confront stressful situations. Aims: This study aimed to compare spouse abused and non- abused women in attachment styles, marital conflicts, coping strategies and sexual satisfaction. Methods: This is a comparative study. Statistical population of study consisted of all women who had referred to healthcare centers in Alborz province during February-May 2017. All of women filled spouse abuse questionnaire and 300 c spouse abused women compared with 300 non- abused  women. Both groups were similar in terms of age, education level, number of children, and living place using convenience sampling method. Sample members filled out Sanaee’s Marital Conflict Questionnaire, Endler and Parker (1990) Coping Strategies Inventory, Hudson et al.  (1981) Sexual Satisfaction Scale, and Collins and Reid (1990) Attachment Scale. Data analyzed by t test, Pearson correlation coefficient, MANCOVA and Levin test through SPSS-21 Software. Results: Results showed that spouse women had more marital conflicts, insecure attachment, dysfunctional coping strategies and less sexual satisfaction than non-abused women (0/000). Conclusion: There were insecure attachment style, more marital conflicts, and dysfunctional coping strategies, less sexual satisfaction in spouse abused women.

Background: Marital conflict is a type of lack of ongoing meaningful agreement between spouses. The present study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy on sexual self-efficacy and marital satisfaction in couples with marital conflicts. Materials and Methods: This quasi-experimental study was carried out on the intervention and control groups with a pretest/posttest design and follow-up. The study population consisted of 30 females who referred to counseling centers in district 1 of Tehran, Iran, in 2018 through simple random sampling. The participants were randomly divided into two groups, each with 15 members. The intervention group received mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and the control group received no intervention. Data collection tools were the questionnaires of sexual self-efficacy, marital satisfaction, and marital conflicts. The questionnaires were filled out by the participants before and after the intervention and 3 months later. The collected data were analyzed using repeated measurement analysis and analysis of covariance by SPSS software (version 22). Results: The results of the study showed that mindfulness-based cognitive therapy led to increased sexual self-efficacy (P<0.033) and marital satisfaction (P<0.003) in the intervention group; however, in the control group, there was no significant difference in pretest, posttest and follow-up scores. Conclusion: Based on the results, it can be concluded that mindfulness-based cognitive therapy can improve sexual self-efficacy and marital satisfaction in couples with marital conflicts.

Chapter 5 evaluates the effectiveness of police training pedagogy in training recruits to carry out Community Policing, and likewise its effectiveness in preparing recruits for the police role in managing conflict situations. It provides a conceptual discussion of the process of police learning drawing on interactionist and micro-sociological perspectives on interpersonal communication. The chapter then moves on to discuss the process of socialization into the police career, drawing on a stage model from anticipatory socialization through provisional membership, early service and the seasoned police practitioner. The chapter closes by looking at premature resignation (‘wastage’), particularly during the training period, and at differential attainment in advancement in the police career, with a focus on females and ethnic minorities.

The aim of this article is to expound on existing approaches to marital conflicts resolution among Congolese migrant families, their functioning, and their effectiveness. The theoretical framework within which this study is constructed is conflict transformation theory. This is a qualitative study involving in-depth interviews with 16 migrants comprising 8 men and 8 women from Democratic Republic of Congo living in Durban as well as two church leaders and two church counselors from where the participants were selected. Participants were identified in two selected Congolese migrant churches. The study found out that there are several approaches to marital conflict resolution. Negotiation and mediation were considered the most significant approaches used in resolving marital conflict among Congolese migrant families living in Durban. Culture matters in marital conflict resolution. Because of patriarchy, negotiation becomes a less effective approach to marital conflict resolution because the men believe they have the upper hand in marriage. Power is embedded in relationships, and negotiation has connotations of power relations and how power is distributed and dispensed in a given society. In circumstances in which women are emancipated, equality between men and women can be eventuated.
