30 September – 4 October 2013 was held the IV international scientific conference "Monitoring and assessment of the status of plant world", organized by the Institute of experimental botany. V. F. Kuprevich of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for the purpose of consolidation of efforts, expertise and knowledge of scientists and practitioners from different countries to ensure resource-saving multi-use of natural ecosystems, conservation of biodiversity, strengthening of environmental and social functions of vegetation in terms of total anthropogenic impact and climate change. An important focus of the conference was the generalization of experience of organization of monitoring, discuss the prospects, opportunities and challenges for its development and effective application in practice of nature management and environmental protection.

The article is devoted to the events of the M. T. Rylsky Institute of Art History, Folklore and Ethnology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the poet-academician Maksym Rylsky, who was its director for many years, as well as analytical coverage of the issues of the international scientific conference, which took place in Kyiv on December 28, 2020, co-organized and participated by Polish scientists.


The most important results of the scientific studies, carried out by the Institutes of the National Academy of sciences of Ukraine in the frames of the program for scientific research of the NAS of Ukraine "New Functional Substances and Materials for Chemical Engineering" in 2017-2021, are summarized. In the result of fulfillment of the projects of the Program a number of principally new organic, inorganic, polymeric substances and materials as well as composited based thereon of various functional destination were created, new energy-, resource-saving and ecologically-friendly ways for low-tonnage obtaining of substances and materials of chemical engineering were developed. Use of the obtained materials and methods of chemical substances obtaining in different fields of the national industry will improve the competitive capacity of the national products on the external and internal markets, will favor to significant reduction of the dependency of the country on import of deep technology chemical products, setting up of production of a wide range of chemical products, reagents and preparations in Ukraine.

Under this name, on December 12-13, 1998, a scientific conference was held in Ternopil. Co-organizers of the conference were the Ukrainian Association of Religious Studies, the Office for Nationalities, Migration and Religions of the Ternopil Regional State Administration, the Ternopil State Medical Academy named after them. I.Gorbachevsky, Department of Religious Studies, Institute of Philosophy. G.S. Skovoroda, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Kremenets State Medical College. The conference was held on the basis of the medical academy, whose rector was Prof. L.Kovalchuk has created all the necessary conditions for her fruitful work. The conference was congratulated by the vice-rector on the scientific work of the academy prof. M.Andreichin There were about 40 scientific reports and reports. The conference was attended by members of the Institute of Religious Studies at Jagiellonian University (Krakow, Poland).

The analysis of the development of methods for remote sensing of the Earth in the oil and gas prospecting industry in the period from 1979 to 1992 in the Kiev Department of the Institute of Geology and Fossil Fuels Development of the USSR Ministry of Petroleum Industry and the USSR Academy of Sciences (KD IG FFD) is presented. The structure and main scientific and methodological problems that were solved by the team of specialists of the KD IG FFD are given. The main scientific and methodological results of the Kiev department are presented: maps, methodological recommendations, successful results of forecasting oil and gas prospecting structures on the territory of Ukraine and oil and gas provinces of the former USSR. The leading role of KD IG FFD in the training of specialists in the use of aerospace methods in the study of oil and gas bearing regions and, in general, nature management is emphasized.

The article is devoted to the historical and philosophical analysis of the unique and paradigmatic role of the H.S. Skovoroda Institute of Philosophy, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the philosophical life of Ukraine for 75 years since its foundation. The authors outline its role in the process of institutionalizing philosophy in Ukraine from the time of the domination of the dogmas of Soviet Marxism to the introduction of current research traditions in modern Ukrainian philosophy. The continuity and peculiarities of the change of generations of researchers in the field of philosophy and the involvement of Ukrainian philosophical thought in the world intellectual discourse are studied. The article's authors reveal the gradual formation of the Kyiv philosophical tradition, the role of the Institute's leadership in the style and nature of scientific research of certain periods. Particular attention is paid to the institutionalization of new research areas at the Institute, such as political philosophy, philosophy of language and speech, which belong to the leading paradigm of modern philosophy. Attention is paid to the cooperation of the Institute with domestic scientific and educational institutions, its international relations. The status of the leading professional publications, which became significant both in Soviet times and during independence, is highlighted. Finally, the article notes the role and tasks of the Institute in modern social discourse, focuses on the values, the preservation of which is taken care of by representatives of the Institute.

The third international seminar “Mire vegetation: modern problems of classification, mapping, use and protection” took place in September 26–28, 2018 in Belarus, Grodno Region. It was organized by B. F. Kuprevich Institute of Experimental Botany National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. Apart from two days of scientific sessions the participants went for half-day field trips visiting the landscape reserve “Ozery”. Two beautiful autumn mires: lake-side pine bog and river valley fen were appreciated by mire specialists from Lithuania, Russia and Belarus. The visit-center of the reserve offered the short lectures on nature, tourist attractions and prospective activities. On September 29 everyone was invited to joint an additional field trip and seminar held in Novy Dvor (Svisloch district) to support a preservation of Belovezhskaya Pushcha in Belarus. Local teachers and experts together with international mire researchers went to the Dikoe mire, the Ramsar site, were they had a training course in the field. All participants of the event were happy to be together, share the experiences and contribute to ecological education.
