The following essay would like to elaborate on a possible “philosophy of efficiency” connected to the “Engineering of a toy model of the universe based on information and memory from an ICT perspective” (a more technical paper from the same author proposing a framework for Quantum Gravity). The insights derived from the interpretation of spacetime considered focus on causality, free will and efficiency, and promote collaboration, empathy and trust. Even if some of the concepts presented are common to several human cultures at different level of conceptual abstraction, this paper does not pretend to have scientific value nor suppose any reference to religion. The scope is just to draft a high level parallel between the description of the Universe proposed in the scientific contribution and a more philosophical interpretation of life, inspired by efficiency and based on the memory of a common beat.

The article analyzes the heritage of Avesto from a philosophical point of view and gives a philosophical interpretation of the role of myths. At the same time, special attention is paid to the perception of the structure of the world. The ideas and philosophy of Avesto that have come down to us show that our ancestors who lived in the Zoroastrian era had a high level of worldview and thinking. Even in these distant times, our ancestors are struck by the fact that the deepest thinking, attitude to nature, existence, integrity and integrity of the universe, nature and human dignity, as well as the preservation of the Motherland are the main tasks of mankind.

We develop a self-consistent Spin (4, 4)-invariant model of the unification of gravity with weak SU(2) gauge and Higgs fields in the visible and invisible sectors of our universe. We consider a general case of the graviweak unification, including the higher-derivative super-renormalizable theory of gravity, which is a unitary, asymptotically-free and perturbatively consistent theory of the quantum gravity.

Can we trace back consciousness, reality, awareness, and free will to a single basic structure without giving up any of them? Can the universe exist in both real and individual ways without being composed of both? This dialogue founds consciousness and freedom of choice on the basis of a new reality concept that also includes the infinite as far as we understand it. Just the simplest distinction contains consciousness. It is not static, but a constant alternation of perspectives. From its entirety and movement, however, there arises a freedom of choice being more than reinterpreted necessity and unpredictability. Although decisions ultimately involve the whole universe, they are free in varying degrees also here and now. The unity and openness of the infinite enables the individual to be creative while this creativity directly and indirectly enters into all other individuals without impeding them. A contrary impression originates only in a narrowed awareness. But even the most conscious and free awareness can neither anticipate all decisions nor extinguish individuality. Their creativity is secured.

In this research, it is aimed to examine the environmental knowledge and environmental education self-efficacy levels of Science teachers and prospective science teachers in terms of various variables. In this context, screening model was used. The universe of the study consisted of the science teachers who work in Iğdır province in the 2016-2017 academic year and the 3rd and 4th class studying in the Science Teaching Department of the Faculty of Education at Bayburt University. The sample of the study consisted of 110 science teachers and 110 science teacher candidates determined by easily accesible sampling from the universe. The data collected in the study were analyzed in SPSS 25 package program and it was determined that the data collection tools of the research did not show normal distribution. Therefore, non-parametric tests KruskalWallis H and Mann Whitney U tests were used in the study. As a result of the analysis conducted in the research; it was found that science teachers had moderate self-efficacy level, science teachers had high level, environmental knowledge score averages were higher than science teachers, and science teacher candidates were on average level. ​Extended English summary is in the end of Full Text PDF (TURKISH) file.   Özet Araştırmada, fen bilgisi öğretmenlerinin ve fen bilgisi öğretmen adaylarının çevre bilgileri ve çevre eğitimi öz-yeterlik düzeylerinin çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelemek amaçlanmaktadır. Bu amaç kapsamında araştırmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini 2016-2017 eğitim-öğretim yılında Iğdır ilinde görev yapan fen bilgisi öğretmenleri ve Bayburt Üniversitesi Bayburt Eğitim Fakültesi Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği Bölümündeki öğrenim gören 3. ve 4. sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise evrenden “Kolay Ulaşılabilir Örnekleme” yoluyla belirlenmiş 110 fen bilgisi öğretmeni ve 110 fen bilgisi öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada toplanan veriler SPSS 25. paket programına işlenmiş olup yapılan analizler neticesinde araştırmanın veri toplama araçlarının normal dağılım göstermediği belirlenmiştir. Bu yüzden araştırmada non-parametrik testler olan Kruskal Wallis H ve Mann Whitney U testleri kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler neticesinde araştırmada; fen bilgisi öğretmen adaylarının öz-yeterlik düzeyinin orta, fen bilgisi öğretmenlerinin ise yüksek düzeyde olduğu, çevre bilgi puan ortalamalarının fen bilgisi öğretmenlerinin orta seviyenin üzerinde, fen bilgisi öğretmen adaylarının ise orta seviyede olduğu saptanmıştır.

Many researchers determine the question “Why anything rather than nothing?” as the most ancient and fundamental philosophical problem. Furthermore, it is very close to the idea of Creation shared by religion, science, and philosophy, e.g. as the “Big Bang”, the doctrine of “first cause” or “causa sui”, the Creation in six days in the Bible, etc.Thus, the solution of quantum mechanics, being scientific in fact, can be interpreted also philosophically, and even religiously. However, only the philosophical interpretation is the topic of the text.The essence of the answer of quantum mechanics is:1. The creation is necessary in a rigorous mathematical sense. Thus, it does not need any choice, free will, subject, God, etc. to appear. The world exists in virtue of mathematical necessity, e.g. as any mathematical truth such as 2+2=4.2. The being is less than nothing rather than more than nothing. So, the creation is not an increase of nothing, but the decrease of nothing: it is a deficiency in relation of nothing. Time and its “arrow” are the way of that diminishing or incompleteness to nothing.

This chapter explores how German economists and statisticians of the historical school viewed the idea of social or statistical law as the product of confusion between spirit and matter or, equivalently, between history and nature. That the laws of Newtonian mechanics are fully time-symmetric and hence can be equally run backwards or forwards could not easily be reconciled with the commonplace observation that heat always flows from warmer to cooler bodies. James Clerk Maxwell, responding to the apparent threat to the doctrine of free will posed by thermodynamics and statistics, pointed out that the second law of thermodynamics was only probable, and that heat could be made to flow from a cold body to a warm one by a being sufficiently quick and perceptive. Ludwig Boltzmann resisted this incursion of probabilism into physics but in the end he was obliged, largely as a result of difficulties presented by the issue of mechanical reversibility, to admit at least the theoretical possibility of chance effects in thermodynamics. Meanwhile, the American philosopher and physicist C. S. Pierce determined that progress—the production of heterogeneity and homogeneity—could never flow from rigid mechanical laws, but demanded the existence of objective chance throughout the universe.

The arithmetic chaos of classical (super)gravity near a spacelike singularity is elevated to the quantum level via the construction of a cosmological quantum billiard system. Its precise formulation, together with its underlying algebraic structure, allows for a general analysis of the wavefunction of the universe near the singularity. We argue that the extension of these results beyond the billiard approximation may provide a concrete mechanism for emergent space as well as new perspectives on several long-standing issues in canonical quantum gravity. The exponentially growing complexity of the underlying symmetry structure could introduce an element of non-computability that effectively "screens" the cosmological singularity from a complete resolution.

If the inflationary scenario describes our Universe, then it is possible that quantum gravity phenomena could be observed in anisotropy experiments of the microwave background as well as in galaxy clustering data. Primordial gravitational radiation arising from inflation is a consequence of quantum gravity. Moreover, the wavefunction of the Universe is currently being measured by the COBE satellite. A non-Gaussian distribution could be a signature of nonlinear quantum gravity. In fact, the excess power power seen in the APM survey of galaxies can arise from non-Gaussian initial conditions generated during inflation.

In this paper, the cosmology of the late and future universe is obtained from f(R) gravity with nonlinear curvature terms R2 and R3 (R is the Ricci scalar curvature). It is different from f(R) dark energy models where nonlinear curvature terms are taken as a gravitational alternative to dark energy. In the present model, neither linear nor nonlinear curvature terms are taken as dark energy. Rather, dark energy terms are induced by curvature terms and appear in the Friedmann equation derived from f(R) gravitational equations. This approach has an advantage over f(R) dark energy models in three ways: (i) results are consistent with WMAP observations, (ii) dark matter is produced from the gravitational sector and (iii) the universe expands as ~ t2/3 during dominance of the curvature-induced dark matter, which is consistent with the standard cosmology. Curvature-induced dark energy mimics phantom and causes late acceleration. It is found that transition from matter-driven deceleration to acceleration takes place at the redshift 0.36 at time 0.59 t0 (t0 is the present age of the universe). Different phases of this model, including acceleration and deceleration during the phantom phase, are investigated. It is found that expansion of the universe will stop at the age of 3.87 t0 + 694.4 kyr. After this epoch, the universe will contract and collapse by the time of 336.87 t0 + 694.4 kyr. Further, it is shown that cosmic collapse obtained from classical mechanics can be avoided by making quantum gravity corrections relevant near the collapse time due to extremely high energy density and large curvature analogous to the state of the very early universe. Interestingly, the cosmological constant is also induced here; it is extremely small in the classical domain but becomes very high in the quantum domain. This result explains the largeness of the cosmological constant in the early universe due to quantum gravity effects during this era and its very low value in the present universe due to negligible quantum effect in the late universe.
