This paper aims at considering the well-known triad of What? How? Why? somewhat anew by suggesting looking at transformational leadership for successful human resources management through the lens of coaching core competencies as the key soft skill. Arising as the strategic approach to the effective management of people, well-thought human resources management that rests on a leadership model definitely enables management of a company or organization to move ahead of the curve and gain a firm foothold in the job market. The transformational leadership model fits the framework of the research and links to the contrastive line between management and leadership. It is emphasized that management processes focus on (i) maintaining and (ii) improving performance at work, on the one hand, and on the other, unlike management, the transformational leadership model focuses on the benefits of visionary thinking and bringing about change. Following the goal in the subject matter associated with successful HR management, the Golden Circle of What? How? Why?introduced by Simon Sinek finds its way in the description analysis. The Why? sectionopens the idea for successful HR managementto move further to What?section and is accompanied with How? section in the end. The final part of the findings embodies 11 current core competencies of coaching, which illustrate how the ways of implementing the soft skills in workplace may increase HR performance, enhance seamless communication among employees and management, drive change and welcome innovation. The four objectives for successful HR management: (i) drive change within a company or organization, (ii) encourage and motivate people for personal and corporate growth and development, (iii) employ innovation including modern technologies, and (iv) lead by example, correspond to the four cornerstones in the framework for successful company or organization management via transformational leadership. They are: (i) create an inspire vision of the future for the company’s (organization’s) employees, (ii) motivate the staff to live by and deliver the vision, (iii) manage delivery of the vision, (iv) attract and retain high-class professionals and young talents, build up strong and competitive teams, create and grow ever-stronger, trust-based relationships with the employees. The toolkit of ways, techniques and approaches may derive from the current core competencies in coaching that can be groupedsimilarly to the ICF ones as follows: (i) foundation, (ii) co-creating the relationship, (iii) communicating effectively, and (iv) cultivating learning and growth.

Microbes are omnipresent and diverse members of all biological communities. In marine and freshwater ecosystems, microorganisms form the base of the food chain supporting higher trophic levels. Even though microbes are generally thought to live in warm regions of Earth, many of them develop in cold climates. Polar regions remain relatively protected from widespread anthropogenic disturbances, which is a consequence of thier remoteness and extreme climate conditions. For a long time these regions were considered to be free from chemical contamination until scientists discovered a presence of pollutants there. Chemical contamination may induce serious disorders in the integrity of polar ecosystems influencing the growth of bacterial communities. Xenobiotics including persistent organic pollutants are transported thousands of kilometers by the air and ocean currents, and they are deposed in high-latitude regions and accumulate in all elements of the environment including bacterial communities. It is important to determine their concentration levels in bacterial cells to assess the possibility of contaminants becoming transferred to higher trophic levels; however, some species of bacteria are capable of metabolizing xenobiotics, which makes them less toxic or even removes them from the environment.

The article examines the relevant issues related to the investment projects, the creation of investment programs and to carrying out the investment policy on the municipal and regional levels. Any municipality has to solve a lot of problems concerning a decent level of economic and social development of the area and the life standard of their residents. In conditions of the constant shortage of financial resources needed to solve the objectives, the investment policy becomes the major tool. Competitiveness can be defined in a number of ways. We can think of it as of a successful performance of a company or organization; or we may talk about competitiveness in a macro context such as a favourable exchange rate of a national currency. Can we also talk about competitiveness of a nation? What is it and how can it be evaluated? There does not seem to be a common definition of what the international competitiveness of nations is. Some feel that the very notion of international competitiveness of nations is unfair and unacceptable. They argue that the nations themselves do not compete, their enterprises do. For others the notion of international competitiveness of nations is fair. They believe that creating appropriate measures of international competitiveness is central for tracking and understanding the sources of competitiveness of countries. In this paper I classify and compare the measures developed by various authors. I suggest that the studies on the measurement of competitiveness can be classified into five groups:1. Particular sector studies.2. Competitiveness studies at the regional / country level.3. Particular competitiveness indicator studies.4. Competitiveness studies at an international level.5. Cross-country economic policy studies.Since the competitiveness studies serve a different audience and purpose, we cannot discuss which is best without first asking: best at what?

Furniture for a long time has been an integral component of human activity, recreation and everyday life. Its design, diversity and versatility along with the development of human civilization is increasingly becoming the object of further improvement. At present furniture production in Ukraine is the developing industry, gradually entering the European market in terms of quality and design. European furniture market is extremely attractive to operators and, therefore, has dynamics towards the competitor number increase. One of the factors of increasing the industry attractiveness is the support of amendments to the Law of Ukraine «On peculiarities of state regulation of business entities related to the sale and export of timber» by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in April 2015, which imposed temporary, gradual prohibition on the export of raw timber (forest logs) for 10 years. The corresponding partial prohibition entered into force on 11.01.2015, and complete prohibition (including pine wood) - from January 1, 2017. The consequences of this moratorium during the first five years of its operation, which is important in the context of politicization of this problem are analyzed in this paper. The dynamics and structure of the amount of enterprises in industry and the number of employees employed in them are investigated. The volume of furniture industry sales in general and the areas of their implementation (internal or external markets) are analyzed. The next stage is the analysis of the dynamics of the ratio of furniture products exports and imports in Ukraine and determination of the major exporters of such products. The final stage is the investigation of the dynamics of foreign direct investments in the enterprises capital share in this industry in order to identify its investment attractiveness. As a result, it is determined that the introduced moratorium has partial positive impact on the development of furniture industry in Ukraine. However, at present, the furniture industry is not attractive enough for new foreign investment. This is the consequence of significant amount of «shadow» production, which in its turn destabilizes the situation in the furniture market. Ukrainian manufacturers will be able to strengthen their position in domestic market and even abroad, if they solve the main problems in furniture production and eliminate all disincentives.

AbstractKubiëna (1938) was the first to introduce the concept of fabric in soil micromorphology, so this term has been used in soil micromorphology for a long time. The term “fabric” was initially applied to rocks by geologists and petrologists. This type of fabric is defined as the “factor of the texture of a crystalline rock which depends on the relative sizes, the shapes, and the arrangement of the component crystals” (Matthews and Boyer 1976). This definition has been adapted for soil micromorphology and its latest definition has been given by Bullock et al. (1985) as: “soil fabric deals with the total organization of a soil, expressed by the spatial arrangement of the soil constituents (solid, liquid, and gaseous), their shape, size, and frequency, considered from a configurational, functional and genetic view-point”. In conclusion, the soil micromorphologist should consider the fabric as an arrangement and∕or organization of soil constituents.
