Nghiên cứu này được tiến hành dựa trên mô hình Lý thuyết Tương tác về Stress nhằm tìm hiểu về hệ quả của các chiến lược ứng phó của sinh viên khi đối mặt với stress học tập thông qua hai biến số là mức độ stress và kết quả học tập của sinh viên. Mẫu nghiên cứu thuận tiện gồm 157 sinh viên trường Đại học Khoa học Xã hội và Nhân văn, Đại học Quốc gia Hà Nội với độ tuổi trung bình là 20.52, độ lệch chuẩn là 1.29, và nữ chiếm 77.70%. Kết quả nghiên cứu chỉ ra rằng các chiến lược ứng phó điều hòa cảm xúc, chấp nhận, thay đổi nhận thức, và suy nghĩ tích cực có tương quan nghịch có ý nghĩa thống kê với mức độ stress, trong khi hai chiến lược ứng phó né tránh và mong ước có mối tương quan thuận với mức độ stress của sinh viên. Đối với kết quả học tập, chiến lược ứng phó giải quyết vấn đề có liên hệ tích cực đối với điểm số của sinh viên, trong khi chiến lược ứng phó né tránh và mong ước làm giảm kết quả học tập.

ObjectiveEspecially medical students set high academic standard, and try hard to achieve because they are requested to studying medicine perfectly. Multidimensional perfectionism scale (MPS) is used to measure perfectionism in medical student. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationships between stress and various factors including perfectionism.MethodsWe enrolled 159 medical students from University of Ulsan college of Medicine. We used the Medical Stress scale (MSS), the Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale(MPS), the patient health questionnaire-9(PHQ-9), the academic motivation scale (AMS), the insomnia severity scale(ISS), and The revised neo personality inventory.ResultTo analyze data, we used Pearson's correlation and logistic regression analysis. In the first step- Pearson's correlation analysis, a motivation, PHQ-9, ISI, perfectionism and neuroticism traits of NEO-PI significantly correlated with stress level (P < 0.001). In the second step, logistic regression analysis indicated that students who feel high level of academic stress (MSS score ≥ 28) are also related to a motivation, insomnia, perfectionism and neuroticism traits of NEO-PI (R2 = 0.389, P < 0.05).ConclusionStudent who tend to be perfect feel more academic stress. The high level of stress related to insomnia and a motivation in medical student. The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of Al-Insyirah contemplation to reduce the academic stress level on Islamic university students. Al-Insyirah contemplation is an Islamic term that related to deep contemplation and visualization for the psychological aspects of the surah of Al-Insyirah. This research used the pre-post experimental design. The participants were 16 students who experience academic stress. Before the subjects were trained by Al-Insyirah contemplation, academic stress scale was administered to measure the academic stress level. Then Al-Insyirah contemplation were trained to them, which consists of six steps. After two weeks, the academic stress scale was measured again. The result of before and after the contemplation were analysed using t-test analysis. The results show that Al-Insyirah contemplation could lower the students' academic stress. Consequently, students after using this contemplation are able to think positively to solve various challenges and difficulties in campus life.

The basic aim of present investigation is that to study the influence of role of medium in the development of child’s personality by academic stress and adjustment scales. Present study was undertaken to examine the level of academic stress and adjustment among Gujarati medium and English Medium School Students. For that purpose 120 students of class IX and X were selected randomly from different schools out of which 60 were taken from Gujarati medium school and the remaining 60 were taken from English Medium School. Abha Rani Bisht (BBS) scale for measuring academic stress was used to see the level of stress and Sinha and Singh Adjustment Inventory for school students was used to examine level of adjustment among the students. The data were analyzed by ‘t’ test and ANOVA were applied to check the difference in significance between the entire two mediums of instruction. The main and internal effect has been discussed.  Results indicated that level of academic stress was significantly higher among the English Medium school students where as Gujarati medium school students were significantly better in terms of their level of adjustment. The Medium of Mother tongue per both boys and girls adjustment level are high and academic stress level low than other medium of instruction at school level.

Academic stress is a subjective perception of an academic condition or a response experienced by students in the form of negative physical reactions, behaviors, thoughts, and emotions that arise due to school or academic demands. During a pandemic Covid 19 most of earning activities becomes online. The aim of this research is to determine the level of academic stress among students in Guidance and Counseling Department, Semarang State University during the pandemic. The method used is descriptive qualitative research. This research conducted interviews to collect data by using purposive sampling. The results  show that students experience symptoms of academic stress symptoms that affect their physical, emotional, behavioral, and thoughts as well as several factors that influence academic stress both in themselves (internally) and in the environment and circumstances (externally). The conclusion of this study is the respondents' stress level is quite high or increases when they get assignments from the lecturers. Keywords: college students, academic stress, pandemic

Introduction: Prevalence of mental illnesses among adolescents was found 7.3% (N=1191) by NMHS survey 2015-16 whereas the national crime record bureau in 2014 stated 1.8% of students committed suicide due to failure in their exams. The root cause, that is academic stress is often ignored which occurred due to various stressors like physical, mental, family, school, relationship, and social factors of which School factor (56.7%) and academic tests (45.6%) hold maximum association. Proper management can be provided with Ayurveda by Prakriti wise (exploring one physical, physiological and psychological factors) analysis of stress and their coping up strength and effect, when assisted with oral intakes of Ayurveda drugs like Brahmi and Haritaki along with Sattvavajaya Chikitsa having Achar Rasayana, Surya Namaskar, Dharna, and Dhyana practices. Aim and Objectives: The aim is to evaluate the comparative efficacy of Brahmi extract with Sattvavajaya Chikitsa over the effect of Haritaki extract with Sattvavajaya Chikitsa in the management of Academic Stress among adolescent students of different Prakriti. Material and Methods: A double-blind reference standard controlled stratified randomized superiority clinical trial is planned. The sample size of 198 participants with 13% dropout consideration will be enrolled after analysis of their Prakriti and stress level between 5-25 according to the SAAS scale. Total 6 subgroups (3 each for trial drug group and 3 for standard control) will have Vata, Pitta, and Kapha Doshic (V, P & K) dominant Prakriti participants of 10 to 17years of age. Total 33 participants in each subgroup will have the interventions for 90 days. Observation and Results: Participants will be assessed for changes in salivary cortisol, level of academic stress, IQ, and memory before and after the trial. The standard descriptive and inferential statistical measures will be used to assess the effect of interventions. Conclusion: Prakriti analysis will help stressed adolescents to know their strengths and interventions provided will be expected to help a stressed one to minimize stress level and also assist in developing their stress-coping mechanism.

In the study titled Procrastination, stress in academic engagement in Medicine students of a private university, the objective is to establish the relationship between procrastination and stress in the academic engagement of Medicine students of a private university according to sex and age. The approach used was quantitative, descriptive method, and basic. The population was 1904 Medicine students of the private university, the sample was 320 Medicine students, a stratified probability sampling method was used. The technique used was the survey and the instrument was the questionnaire for three variables. The investigation concluded that: 27.8% of students had a low procrastination level, 48.1% had an average low level, 22.5% had an average high level, and 1.6% had a high level of procrastination. As for academic stress, it was found that 39.7% of students had a mild level, 45.6% had a moderate level and 14.7% had a severe academic stress level. As for academic engagement, it was found that 52.8% of students had a low level, 35.3% had an average level and 11.9% had a high level.

The phenomenon found in the field when students are given assignments, they will complain a lot. Counseling technique course I is a course that has many lectures.This article aims to describe academic stress level of students of Guidance and Counseling who are taking Counseling Technique Course I. It is seen from the emotional, intellectual, physical, and interpersonal symptoms. The study used a descriptive quantitative approach with the subject of 104 students. Data were collected using an academic stress scale. The results of the study reveal the level of academic stress of the students of the Guidance and Counseling Department who are taking the subjects of Counseling Technique I viewed from: (1) emotional symptoms (2) intellectual symptoms (3) physical symptoms, and (4) interpersonal symptoms are in the medium category. Of the 17 existing academic stress indicators, only one indicator is in the low category. The results of this study are important to provide input for students, lecturers in Counseling Technique I, and academic counselor in order to help reduce student academic stress level.

In present scenario we can see that youngsters are facing stress in their day to day lives. Sometimes this is found in chronic stage also. People talked about spirituality to deal with the stress. Spirituality involves many practices like meditation, yoga, spiritual books. Today’s generation are mostly found to be least interested in such practices. So, this becomes more important to know the stress level in youngsters and their involvement in spirituality. This research is also discussing about stress and spirituality in the engineering students. Researcher also examined the relationship between spirituality and stress with reference to engineering students. Data has been collected from 200 engineering students through questionnaire. For identifying relation between spirituality and stress among engineering student’s researcher used regression analysis by using SPSS.
