<p>Diabetes mellitus is a health problem that will affect the health status of patients. Motivational interviewing a counseling technique focusing on clients and it is designed for helping individuals explore and accomplish ambivalence in behavior. This systematic review aimed at describing effectiveness motivationaI interviewing on self-management of diabetes mellitus type 2 patients. There are 1359 articles of 526 ScienceDirect articles, 422 ProQuest, 290 PubMed, and 121 Ebsco articles. The systematic review method began by identifying 20 articles from four electronic databases for previous studies that were published during 2011-2021. The results of the systematic review obtained that motivational interviewing can provide improved self-management and control blood glucose DM type 2 patients. The conclusion motivational interviewing can affect the patient's self-management especially on blood glucose profile, dietary compliance, quality of life, self-efficacy, HbA1c levels of DM type 2 patients.</p>

This research evaluated the process of conventional counseling techniques in one of the private higher educational institutions to improve its counseling services. This research also aimed at inviting more college students to submit themselves to the counseling process. This study employed a qualitative case study design of Yin (2014) using 32 research participants as key informants: 30 counselees and two guidance counselors. The evaluation of conventional counseling is based on Pal's (2011) seven stages in the counseling process: readiness, reception, reconnaissance, examination, interpretation, application, and review. Based on the findings, most of the students who entered the guidance office were not ready for the counseling process. However, the clienteles had a good impression of the counselors that leads to empowerment. Therefore, one way to enhance the practice of conventional counseling in schools is through the utilization of scripture-based counseling.

This article contains a number of research results which are summarized into a meta-analysis paper. Some research results cover the application of journaling counseling techniques in a broad scope. Counseling services become a very important requirement to be implemented in the Education unit, especially higher education. Journaling counseling technique is one of the service efforts provided to clients, so clients can explore, express emotions and pressures, and analyze them into a coherence that can develop the client's personality. The author hopes that this article will be a reference source in alleviating client problems and the application of supporting literature display activities.

Breastfeeding is very beneficial for babies, mothers and families. However, not all mothers provide breastfeeding exclusively to their babies, because there are very limited breastfeeding counselors and the low availability of educational facilities and infrastructure on breastfeeding. The solution offered is to provide assistance and training to midwives who have not become breastfeeding counselors to be able to provide breastfeeding counseling using the Dukesi media (Breastfeeding Package Module). Dukesi is a module that makes it easier for mothers to get various information about breastfeeding. The training was attended by 26 midwives from 26 Primary Health Care in Blora District, conducted for 3 meetings. The first meeting was the pretest, delivering material on the role of health workers to increase exclusive breastfeeding coverage, use of health education media, material on the breastfeeding package module. The second meeting was providing material on breastfeeding counseling technique skills. The third meeting is the practice of breastfeeding counseling, posttest and evaluation. Based on the paired t-test, it was found that there was an effect of training using dukesi media on the knowledge level of 0.000 (<0.05) and there was an effect of training using dukesi media on breastfeeding counseling skills at 0.000 (<0.05). Keywords: breastfeeding; counseling; dukesi; module; training

Purpose of the study: The research aims at finding how spiritual quotient-based behavioral group counseling is implemented to strengthen the creative and innovative aspects aimed at improving students’ hard skills. Methodology: The research is a qualitative method. The subject of the study is the students of the Guidance and Counseling Program at Private University in Solo Raya. The focus of the study is the implementation of spiritual quotient-based behavioral group counseling. The data are collected through interviews, observation, documentation, and test. They are validated through triangulation. They are analyzed through qualitative analysis. Main Findings: Research findings shows that the implementation of spiritual quotient-based behavioral group counseling can strengthen the creative and innovative aspects aimed at improving students’ hard skill at Guidance and Counseling Programmed at Private University in Solo Raya. It can be seen from the students’ behavior change, i.e. from uncreative and less innovative to be creative and innovative. Applications of this study: Findings of the research are useful as a reference enrichment conducting learning in guidance counseling courses especially for counseling theory. This study is also useful as a guideline for implementing group counseling practices for students and lecturers of counseling guidance at the national level because of the results of the study in terms of the implementation of the counseling technique. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research contains novelty in counseling i.e. the implementation of spiritual intelligence-based counseling to improve student hard skills, which still rarely has never been done by other researchers. This research is beneficial to advance the field of guidance and counseling, namely to increase the implementation of group counseling in building soft skills and the hard skill of students.

Counselors are striving to make sure that their counseling process is scientifically based. A new Counseling paradigm that related to neuroscience, called Neurocounseling, is acknowledged by the American Counseling Association (ACA) and became a new branch of Counseling in 2015. This study is used Neurocounseling paradigm to understanding the psychological condition of the client (student) in the counseling stage. Preliminary study showed us that 46 students from 80 students had showed phobia symptom. It means that 50% students are suffering learning disorder with various levels. We designed our research to record students with phobia symptom’s brainwaves through Electroencephalography (EEG). The record of counselee brainwave will make counselors achieve a better result of counseling because it will help them to choose the right counseling technique. We used qualitative approach and case study to find out student with phobia symptom’s brainwave and mental condition. We used some data collecting techniques: interview, observation, and documentation. The finding showed us that the main brain wave of counselee with phobia symptom is Beta wave in frequency 20-30Hz, it means counselee has a high level of anxiety. Counselee also had a deep tension on nerves and muscles during brainwaves record in the counseling process.

The purpose of this research is to discover the effect of cognitive restructuring counseling technique on social media usage intensity of SMPN 1 Bantaeng students. This research uses quantitative approach with Quasi Experimental Design with the Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. The subjects of this research were 20 students in class VIII who were identified as having high social media usage intensity. The data collection techniques used in this research are usage intensity scaling, observation, and interviews. The results of this research discovers that the implementation of cognitive restructuring technique can reduce the intensity of social media usage intensity as applied according to the procedures that have been designed through 8 meetings. The intensity of using social media before implementing cognitive restructuring technique was considered high but after implementing cognitive restructuring technique, the intensity of using social media decreased.

Lately, the priority of formal education is more towards mastery of science and technology, but is weak towards the development of the personality of individuals who are faithful, creative, have a high sense of humanity, and are responsive quickly. Weak individual personality development to student, causing students to be easily attacked by stress when faced with events that are not in accordance with their needs and desires. The purpose of this study is to find out how handling guidance counseling teachers deal with students affected by stress. The method used is the case study method, the target is high school students and guidance counseling teachers. The results of the techniques used by guidance counseling teachers are cognitive-behavorial counseling techniques, counselors and counselees work together to identify and change negative behaviors and thought patterns that cause physical-emotion disorders. The focus in this counseling technique is trying to change your mind or self talk. So the implications of this study, students can ask for help from guidance counseling teachers to help students free from stress.

Background and purpose: nationally the implementation of early detection program with IVA examination method simultaneously in all regions in Indonesia conducted on 21 April 2015 with efforts to reduce the incidence of ca cervical in Indonesia. In Puskesmas Dasan Agung, IVA examination program started in 2016 with the lowest presentation among all health centers in Mataram city that is much as (1,39%) with the number of WUS 4153 soul and who come check as many as 58 people. This study aims to determine the influence of extension techniques on the participation of IVA examination in WUS in Kelurahan Dasan Agung. Methods: This research uses Quasi Experiment research design. The population in this study were all women of childbearing age in Kelurahan Dasan Agung as many as 2462 peoples. Samples in research using purposive sampling technique counted 60 peoples. The analysis used chi-square test. Results: From 60 respondents, who participated in IVA examination in the intervention group with 17 lectures (56,7%) interactive lecture and control group with lecture counseling technique as many as 4 people (13,3%). Chi-square analysis results obtained there is influence of extension technique to IVA examination involvement with obtained value p value = 0,001 atau p < α=0,05. Conclusion: extension techniques have an effect on the participation of IVA examination in WUS in Kelurahan Dasan Agung.

This study aims to determine the effect of behavioral counseling with modeling techniques to improve the self achievement of students and differences in self achievement of students who are given behavioral counseling techniques and modeling that is not given to students of class XI IPB SMAN 1 Sukasada. The population of this study is all students of class XI SMAN 1 Sukasada. The sample of this research is determined by random sampling technique with the number of sampling 21 students from the experimental class. Method of data collection in research using observation method, interview, diary, and questionnaire self achievment Likert scale method of data analysis method for hypothesis test using t-test. The result of this research indicate that there is influence of behavioral counseling technique of modeling to self achievement to students of class XI IPB SMAN 1 Sukasada, and there are differences of self achievment given behavioral counseling technique modeling with which not given.
