This research is about what learning strategies were used during the Covid-19 pandemic at MTS Muhammadiyah 1 Taman. The Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted the conventional learning process. With that, this research was conducted to determine the learning strategies carried out at the school. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The purpose of the research was to obtain an overview of the implementation of online learning at MTS Muhammadiyah 1 Taman as an effort to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus. The data source used is the primary data source. he informant in this is the Principal of Madrasah Mts Muhammadiyah 1 Taman. The results of this study indicate that the learning strategy during the Covid-19 pandemic uses the Blendid Learning strategy which is carried out face-to-face and online. With this strategy, students can enter school on a predetermined schedule in turn. This strategy is very efficient because in addition to students being able to do face-to-face learning with the teacher in the classroom, they can also access the material provided online wherever they are. When students do not understand the material provided, they can discuss it in person in class or online. Of course, this is very beneficial for both educators and students, because learning will be very comfortable and more effective.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to present critical educator reflections on the pivot from the traditional physical accounting classroom to the virtual learning environment amidst COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns. Design/methodology/approach This paper outlines the reflexive experiences of two accounting educators on their scholarly journey into virtual learning and their inhabiting of the virtual accounting classroom. We adopt a critical stance in exploring what has been lost and insights gained. Findings We heed caution in the ongoing reliance on digital technologies and virtual learning that strip accounting education of its richness and complexity. Although the virtual learning environment brings with it benefits of accessibility and flexibility, it fails to replace the complexity of human connection, authenticity and informal spontaneity found in face-to-face learning. We further contend that COVID-19 presents an opportunity to rethink accounting education. We encourage educators to embrace this opportunity as a force for educational transformation; to reimagine an accounting education that embraces change, ambiguity and humanistic qualities such as empathy, compassion and humility. Originality/value Our critical educator reflections explore the impact of COVID-19 on the humanistic qualities at the heart of education and on the future of accounting education. This paper contributes to the scholarship of teaching and learning during global pandemics and other crises.

This paper highlights a strategy for design studio learning due to the restriction during the COVID-19 pandemic that requires an immediate change from physical, face-to-face learning to virtual, online learning. The study examines how creative design and knowledge construction could be monitored throughout the learning process in the virtual studio. The study reflects upon the autonomy and authority of students and tutors, respectively, as they utilise a particular platform for virtual learning. The virtual communication platform becomes the media to accommodate reflection, peer learning, benchmarking and constructive feedback as essential parts of design learning. The study argues that it is essential to establish a strategy to balance the tutor’s space in maintaining their authority and the students’ space in building their autonomy as a design learner in the virtual studio environment.
