The health of student youth is largely determined by the level of functional capabilities of the organism, which depends on the level of motor activity, that is the total number of movements that a person performs in a given period of time. The purpose of the work is to establish the features of the relationship between the characteristics of adaptive capacity, functional status and level of development of psychophysiological functions and criteria for motor activity of students. The research was conducted on the basis of National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, where 385 students (200 young girls and 185 young boys) were supervised, who, taking into account the peculiarities of the distribution of different levels of motor activity, were divided into 3 comparison groups – with potentially low, medium and potentially high levels of motor activity. The values of daily energy consumption, number of locomotions and duration of the dynamic component in the daily budget were used as the leading criteria of hygienic assessment of students’ motor activity. Functional features and adaptive capabilities of the organism were determined using conventional methods. The analysis of the obtained results involved the use of a standard application package of multidimensional statistical analysis “Statistica 6.1 for Windows”. The results of studies conducted on the basis of correlation analysis procedures indicate the fact that the largest number of correlations between the characteristics of psychophysiological functions and the leading characteristics of health and indicators of academic performance in professionally oriented disciplines studied are recorded in girls, and boys who belonged to the group with an average level of physical activity (daily energy expenditure of 9000-11000 kJ in young girls and 11000-13500 kJ in young boys). The use of cluster analysis procedures during the prognostic assessment of indicators of health and academic performance in professionally-oriented disciplines, made it possible to identify 3 clusters of the studied characteristics of the functional state of students, which have the most pronounced effect on their values: visual-motor speed cluster (indicators of the latent period of simple and differentiated visual-motor response), visual-sensory cluster (indicators of critical fusion of light flickers and efficiency of work performed) and integrative-coordination cluster (a number of indicators that reflect the properties of major nervous processes, characteristics coordination of movements, indicators of attention functions, etc.). Using factor analysis procedures, it determined that both young girls and young boys have the most positive impact on academic performance in vocational disciplines such factors as “functional state of the visual sensory system”, “functional state of coordination” and “functional state of higher nervous activity”.

An essential component of adequate prognostic assessment of the interdependence of the leading correlates of adaptive capacity and functional resources of the human organism is the use of factor analysis procedures. The purpose of the work is to establish the patterns of interdependence of the characteristics of the functional state of the organism and indicators of the health status of students and their complex assessment based on the use of factor analysis procedures. In the course of scientific researches were studied indicators of functional features of higher nervous activity, visual sensory system and somatosensory analyzer. Data on the communication and interdependence characteristics of the level of development of psychophysiological functions and indicators of the health status of students were subjected to statistical processing using the licensed standardized package “Statistica 6.1 for Windows” (license number ВXXR901E245722FA) based on the factor analysis procedures. During the complex assessment of the patterns of interdependence between the characteristics of health status and indicators of the development of psychophysiological functions of the organism of students, who were at different stages of higher medical education, it was determined that young man had the most significant influence on health characteristics of the level of health factors such as “functional features of the visual sensory system”, “functional features of motion coordination” and “functional features speed of visual-motor speed and stability of attention”, young woman – factors such as “functional features of the visual sensory system”, “functional features of motion coordination” and “functional features speed of visual-motor reaction”. The results obtained are the basis for the development of methods for the prognostic evaluation of the characteristics of the formation of health characteristics in the context of determining indicators of the development of psychophysiological functions of young men and young women, as well as the development of effective health-saving technologies to create a preventive educational environment in higher education.

One of the key problems of modern biomedical anthropology is the scientific substantiation of the prerequisites for the formation of a healthy lifestyle, the introduction of health-saving technologies that take into account its, psychophysiological and personality features. The aim of the study is biomedical and physiological and hygienic assessment of motor activity of students of modern institutions of higher education and scientific substantiation of ways of its optimization. 385 students aged 19 to 21 were under observation during the research. As quantitative criteria for assessing motor activity, the values of daily energy consumption, the number of locomotions in a daily cycle and the duration of the dynamic component in the daily budget of time were used. The qualitative description of the values of motor activity was carried out on the basis of studying the main types of locomotives and their distribution patterns with the allocation of zones of minimal (hypokinesia), optimal (normokinesia) and maximum (hyperkinesia) values. The statistical analysis of the received materials provided for the application of the standard package of applications “Statistica 6.1”. As the norms of motor activity of modern students, the following indicators are determined: daily energy consumption values – 9000-11000 kJ for young women and 11000-13500 kJ for young men; number of locomotions in a daily cycle – 14000-18000 steps for young women and 15000-19000 steps for young men; the duration of the dynamic component in the daily budget time – 130-180 minutes in young women and 140-190 minutes in young men. Among the leading ways of optimizing motor activity are: the implementation of continuous monitoring and individualized integrated assessment of habitual motor activity; taking into account the norms of motor activity of student youth, which provide a beneficial effect on the processes of formation of their health and adaptive capacity of the body of future specialists and the mandatory achievement of their values; development and implementation of a set of measures aimed at optimizing motor activity and rational organization of motor activity of modern students.

Chronoreflexometric characteristics of the mental performance of children of primary school age - the natives of the Middle Ob were based on the statistical analysis of the latent period of time of a simple visual - motor responses. The results of a survey showed that the functional state of the nervous system of surveyed children ofprimary school age was at “reduced” and “greatly reduced” level of mental performance. This state is characterized by a weakening of attention, a sharp deterioration in time and accuracy parameters of activity and a significant decrease of efficiency on the whole.

This study is aimed to compare and relate the performance of students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and with good academic performance in the perceptual-visual-motor and reading processes, and to verify the eye movements' pattern of students with ADHD during reading. Twenty students from primary school, both male and female, and aged between eight and twelve years old, participated in this study. They were divided into two groups: Group I (GI): composed of 20 students with an interdisciplinary diagnosis of ADHD, and Group II (GII): composed of 20 students with an equal good academic performance according to gender, age group and education with GI. All students were submitted to the Reading Processes Assessment protocol (PROLEC), Developmental Test of Visual Perception 3 (DTVP 3). PROLEC text reading test was administered to the students, also through the computer support. During this activity, the Gazepoint GP3 Eye Tracker equipment was used, which records the eye movements and analyses their properties by using the Gazepoint Analysis UX Edition Software for capturing eye movement during reading. These procedures were applied individually with students from both groups. The results were statistically analyzed, and revealed that the difficulties of students with ADHD in the reading processes could be justified by the perceptual-visual-motor deficit, and the shorter fixing time for capturing the information of each word read. This compromises the ability to identify and decode words, leading to difficulty in accessing meaning at the level of words and texts.

This studyaimed to characterize and compare the visual-motor perception and handwriting performance of students with mixed dyslexia and students with good academic performance. Twenty-six schoolchildren of both sexes participated in this study, aged 9 to 11 years and 11 months old, from fourth and fifth grades of an elementary school in municipal public schools, from an average socioeconomic level, divided into two groups: Group I (GI) composed of 13 students with a multidisciplinary diagnosis of mixed developmental dyslexia and Group II (GII) composed of 13 students with good academic performance from a municipal school and matched according to gender, education, and age to GI. All students in this study were subjected to the application of the following procedures: Developmental Test of Visual Perception III—DTVP-III, Dysgraphia Scale and writing analysis by NeuroScript MovAlyzeR 6.1 software. The results were analyzed statistically using the following tests: Mann-Whitney test, Wilcoxon signed-rank test, and Friedman test, aiming to verify intragroup and intergroup differences for the variables of interest in the DTVP-III, the Dysgraphia Scale, and the measures of handwriting speed and pressure by the MovAlyzeR software. The results were analyzed statistically at a significance level of 5% (0.050). The results showed that there were statistically significant differences between GI and GII in the parameters of the Dysgraphia Scale, floating lines, irregular spaces between words, junction points, sudden movements, and dimension irregularities. GII showed a superior performance in relation to GI in the variables analyzed with the DTVP-III in visual-motor integration, reduced motricity perception, and general visual perception. There was no statistically significant difference between GI and GII in the variables analyzed by the MovAlyzeR software. The results of this study allowed us to conclude that students with mixed dyslexia present a lower performance profile than the students with good academic performance in general visual perception, reduced motricity visual perception, and visual-motor perception skills, which may be the cause of the quality of dysgraphic writing characterized by floating lines, irregular spaces, junction points, sudden movements, and dimension irregularities.

During the individual development and exposure to infectious agents of the organism, the structural components of the thyroid gland can change significantly. In modern research, great importance is attached to the study of mechanisms for maintaining morphological homeostasis of the thyroid gland and ideas about its structural and functional restructuring in response to the body's immune system to various infections. The morpho-functional features of the thyroid gland of newborn animals after prenatal action of thyroid-nonspecific antigen (staphylococcal toxoid) have been experimentally established. In antigen-premiumed rats, the timing of folliculogenesis changes, as well as the size, distribution and immunohistochemical expression of antibodies to thyroglobulin, the functional state of thyrocytes and follicles compared to normal. The detected immunohistochemical changes indicate signs of morpho-functional immaturity of the organ with hypoactivity elements.

The first period of mature age (21-35 years) of women is characterized by the beginning of involutionary processes in the body and a decrease in the motor abilities of women, and the solution to this problem is possible by optimizing their motor activity. An important factor in training for mature women is to ensure a positive effect on the functional state of the muscles of the torso. Classes in dance types of health-improving motor activity (in particular, bellydance- fitness) have a positive effect on the psycho-emotional state of women and the state of their musculoskeletal system. The work is devoted to the research of the influence of the practice of bellydance-fitness (fitness with movements of oriental dance) on the functional state of the trunk muscles of women of the first period of mature age. Indicators of physical qualities such as static and dynamic strength endurance of torso muscles; spinal mobility in women engaged in bellydance-fitness were studied. Indicators of physical preparedness of women with less than 4 months of training and women with 2-3 years of training were compared. It was a positive effect of bellydance-fitness on the level of functional state of the torso muscles of women. Women with 2-3 years of training are characterized by a higher level of strength of the muscles of the torso and mobility of the spine than women with less than 4 months of training. The results of the research give grounds to recommend the use of bellydance-fitness as a means of improving the functional state of the torso muscles of women.
