The article considerers innovative technologies as a means of formation of a visual-communication environment of the modern city. The article estimates the impact of innovative technologies on the architectural appearance of the modern city, the role of these technologies in the improvement of anthropogenic and natural elements of the urban environment is investigated. The points of view of specialists from different areas about the concepts of “city”, “urban environment” are presented, the current trends in the study of the phenomenon of the modern city and its component system are analyzed. The definition of the visual-communication environment of the modern city is given, attention is focused on its distinctive features. The five prevailing innovation directions (architectural bionics, adaptive architecture, arcology, green architecture, smart architecture) are defined, the principles and technologies of which are introduced into the urban environment. Characteristic features are studied and the followers of these trends are enumerated, as well as their realized examples of introducing the innovative directions into the modern cities’ environment. The ability of the visual communication environment to adapt and transform is considered. An analysis is made of the role of a man as a resident-user of the modern city in the chain of relationships between the architecture and innovation.

The impact of the swift evolution of technology has rippled across all areas of society with technological developments presenting solutions to some of society's greatest challenges. Within higher education, technology is welcomed with the necessary caution of a sector that is responsible for educating and empowering the future workforce. The progressive, and more recently accelerated, digitalisation of education causes the core practices and procedures associated with teaching and learning, including assessment, to be delivered in innovative formats. Technology plays a central role in the delivery of e-assessment, widening its possibilities and broadening its methods and strategies. This chapter aims to examine how innovative technologies are shaping and improving the delivery of e-assessment in the context of higher education. More specifically, it examines the role of artificial intelligence, gamification, learning analytics, cloud computing, and mobile technology in how e-assessment can be delivered.

This work is devoted to the study of the impact of urban development on interethnic intolerance. Although studies on the impact of urbanization and the economic well-being of cities on interethnic intolerance have been conducted in other countries, no similar scientific work has been conducted in Russia. The purpose of this paper is to determine factors related to urban development that influence the level of interethnic intolerance in a Russian city and to clarify the nature of this influence. The assumption of the presence of such an influence is based on the fact that the comfort of the urban environment can play the role of an indicator of economic well-being, while the exacerbation of social conflicts during periods of economic instability is scientifically substantiated. This influence is studied using an econometric study on a sample of 66 Russian cities with a population of over 100 thousand people, where 2 or more crimes motivated by interethnic intolerance were committed during the period 2007–2019. The information base for the study was obtained from the website of the SOVA Center for Information and Analysis, the statistical databases of Rosstat and EMISS, and the official website of the urban environment quality index. Based on the results obtained, it is concluded that interethnic intolerance is reduced due to a comfortable urban environment. Also, according to the study, in more populated Russian cities the level of interethnic intolerance is higher, whereas the incomes of city residents reduce it.

The purposeof the study is to find the ways of the creation of the dynamic visual communications on bus stops. It will make the interaction of the message, a human and the environment harmonious. Methodology.The work is based on the system approach. It makes possible to consider dynamic visual communications as the integral area for the communication of a human and the environment. The results of the compositional and structural and functional analysis helped to make the generalization and systematization of the ways for the visual dynamic creation on bus stops. Results. In the study we consider the bus stop as the visual dynamic system with the intensive communicational processes, which are based on the integration of different forms of human sensitive experience and the urban environment. We proved that subject-visual, visual-sound, visual-tactile and digital visual communications substantiate the transformation of the information perception and deepen it. At the same time a human becomes a part of the communication. Bus stop turns into the experimental location and provides increased emotionality of the communicational processes due to the forming of the immersive context. The designer can afford to program the people’s behavior in the system of the visual dynamic communications. It allows creating opportunities for the stationary bus stops to adapt to the changing external living conditions. Scientific novelty. In the work we rethink the role of the visual communication in the bus stop structure and in the whole environment. The visual communication has an experimental nature. It proves that the communications in the environment are developing towards the increasing dynamics and immersion. Practical significance. The results of the study show the ways to increase the level of dynamics of the visual communications on bus stops. It will make the perception of the informational messages more effective and will make the urban environment more aesthetic. The features of the dynamical designing, which were found, can be used by specialists with the purpose of the designing of the modern environment. In addition, they can be used as the educational technology to form the system thinking of designers.

Scientific and technological progress has dramatically changed and continues to change a person’s life. In modern life, the role of mental labor is constantly increasing, and the physical one is decreasing. All this lead to the fact that knowledge workers in the course of their professional activities do not receive physical exertion in the required amount. Therefore, every year there is an increasing need to involve wide sections of the population in physical education for health promotion and prevention of various diseases. Despite the importance of the problem raised in the work, there are a number of unresolved issues related to the study of the impact of recreational training and their program for women of mature age (55-70 years). It is internationally recognized that physical education is the primary means of maintaining and promoting the health and prevention of various diseases (cardiovascular, osteoporosis, etc.) and bad habits. Currently, the search is relevant, as new forms of motor activity, and their availability for middle and older age groups of the population. Water aerobics is especially popular among various forms of fitness training. Their positive influence is due to the characteristic features of aqua aerobics only:- performing movements in a horizontal position, which facilitates the load;- unloading of the spine and improving posture;- hydromassage of the skin, which improves the vegetative functions, reflex stimulation of the heart, peripheral blood circulation;- a positive effect on the nervous system;- improving the function of the respiratory system;- tempering influence.

This article explores the impact of mythology on urban planning within the creative economy framework. In an urban environment, mythology provides new potentials and introduces the possibilities of built heritage as well as its prose and narrative forms, historical contexts, and social relations. Activists, artists, and other cultural workers promote the culture of freedom of expression in this authentic space. Their bottom-up approach allowed Savamala to become one the most interesting quarters of Belgrade. Meanwhile, the Belgrade Waterfront project is nearing completion and the question whether it will preserve the cultural heritage of Savamala arises. This article investigates the role of mythology in Savamala’s riverfront regeneration, the use of narrative myths and mythical spatial potentials, and the role of mythology in urban planning today.
