Antioxidant drugs "E-selenium" and Catosal help to reduce LPO processes in the body of pregnant ewes. Were formed 3 groups of animals - analogs, three heads each (control and two experimental). Ewes of experimental group 1 were injected intramuscularly with the preparation "E-selenium" in a dose of 1 ml per head once a month for 2 months, starting from the third month of pregnancy. The animals of the second experimental group in the same periods were injected with the drug "Catosal" intramuscularly at a dose of 4 ml per head once a month for 2 months. The feeding of animals of all groups was the same, balanced in nutrients and corresponded to the norms of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The experiment lasted 155 days. There was an increase in the production of DC in the 3rd month of pregnancy in the control group of animals in comparison with the experimental ones, in its so-called "peak", it was significantly higher than in the 1st month, in experimental group 1 by 9.8 %, with experimental group 2 by 9.71%, in control by 18.75 %. During this crucial period, the laying of fruits occurs in the body of ewes, which is reflected in the level of its own antioxidant system. A similar increase can be traced in the case of MDA, which is a secondary oxidation product and is often formed from diene conjugates. The difference in the control group in comparison with the experimental group 1 was 7.48 % and the experimental group 2 13.84 %. Starting from the 4th and 5th months of pregnancy, as the intensity of LPO processes increased, the concentration of DC and MDA production decreased in the experimental groups and especially in the experimental group 2.

In medical sciences, toxicity is an area wherein extensive studies have been carried to improve the diseases as well as to prevent. So, there is a high requirement for novel and improved alternative therapeutic strategies to manage diseases. The liver is the largest gland in the body, which executes several important mechanisms; it stores minerals and vitamins and releases them in periods of need. The main aim of this study was to give a closer insight into potent non- toxic compounds that is capable of modifying the responses. Animals were divided into five equal groups viz control (Group 1), administered with food and water ad libitum, (Group 2) administered with olive oil, (Group 3) administered with zingerone, (Group 4) administered with concanavalin A, (Group 5) administered with cyclosporine A followed by zingerone. Our results revealed significant changes in liver marker enzymes and liver histology of zingerone treated rats when compared to control rats. A corollary, zingerone has no toxic effect on hepatocytes and was found to be safe at a dose of 10mg/kg b wt and also ameliorates hepatotoxicity.

Sports can cause the consumption of energy materials in the body. The rational use of nutritional supplements can maintain the homeostasis of the organism, which plays a very important role in improving the competitive performance of sports athletes. The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of nutritional supplements on basketball sports fatigue. The method of this study is as follows: first of all, 15 basketball players in our city were selected as the experimental objects, and they were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group. The members of the experimental group took nutrients. After the training, 6 days a week, 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon, and the rest was adjusted on Sunday. Before training, four weeks and eight weeks of training, the blood routine indexes and body functions of athletes were tested. The results showed that the number of red blood cells, hemoglobin concentration, and average hemoglobin concentration of ligustilide supplement of the athletes were at the level of 0.05 after 4 weeks and 8 weeks, and the difference was significant ( P < 0.05 ). The nutritional supplements were used in sprint (3.4 s less), long-distance running (12.8 s less), and weight lifting (6.2 kg more) to a certain extent. Nutritional supplements are used as an auxiliary means of diet to supplement the amino acids, trace elements, vitamins, minerals, etc. required by the human body. The conclusion is that nutrition supplement can effectively improve the indexes of athletes’ body in about four weeks, but the effect is not obvious after a long time. This study provides a certain method for the research of nutritional supplements in the field of sports.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to explore the cytomorphometric and morphological effects of Trichomonas vaginalis in exfoliated epithelial cells. Study Design: Ninety-six Pap-stained cervical smears were divided into a study group and two control groups as follows: T. vaginalis cases, a first control group with inflammation, and a second control group without inflammation. Micronucleated, binucleated, karyorrhectic, karyolytic, and karyopyknotic cells and cells with perinuclear halos per 1,000 epithelial cells were counted. Nuclear and cellular areas were evaluated in 70 clearly defined cells in each smear using image analysis. Results: The frequencies of morphological parameters in the T. vaginalis cases were higher than the values of the two control groups, and the difference among groups was found to be significant (p < 0.05). The nuclear and cytoplasmic areas of epithelial cells were diminished in patients with trichomoniasis. The mean nucleus/cytoplasm ratio in T. vaginalis patients was higher than the value in the control groups, and the difference between the study group and control group 1 was significant. However, there was no statistically significant increase between the study group and control group 2. Conclusions:T. vaginalis exhibited significant changes in the cellular size and nuclear structure of the cells. The rising frequency of micronuclei, nuclear abnormalities, and changing nucleus/cytoplasm ratio may reflect genotoxic damage in trichomoniasis.

This paper investigates the efficacy of articulatory training and acoustic feedback on Persian L2 learners’ production of English segmental (/ɒ/). A sample of 30 Persian ESL learners was recruited- 10 learners were randomly assigned to the experimental group 1, 10 to the experimental group 2, and 10 to the control group. Over a five-week period, the experimental group 1 received training on the manner of articulation of the segment, the experimental group 2 received acoustic-articulatory training and was exposed to CALL software for receiving feedback, and the control group was only exposed to auditory input. The groups were given a pretest, an immediate posttest, and a generalization test. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in the performance of the participants in both the posttest and the generalization test in the experimental group 2. These findings suggest the inefficiency of the mere knowledge of the manner of articulation of the segment and lend support to the feasibility of using acoustic features of sounds and computer-based, learner-centred programs for second language segmental acquisition.

Background Previously, the authors found "liberal" fluid administration (approximately 3 l Ringer's lactate [RL]) to improve early rehabilitation after laparoscopic cholecystectomy, suggesting functional hypovolemia to be present in patients receiving "restrictive" fluid administration (approximately 1 l RL). Because volume kinetic analysis after a volume load may distinguish between hypovolemic versus normovolemic states, the authors applied volume kinetic analysis after laparoscopic cholecystectomy to explain the difference in outcome between 3 and 1 l RL. Methods In a prospective, nonrandomized trial, the authors studied 20 patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Ten patients received 15 ml/kg RL (group 1) and 10 patients received 40 ml/kg RL (group 2) intraoperatively. All other aspects of perioperative management were standardized. A 12.5-ml/kg RL volume load was infused preoperatively and 4 h postoperatively. The distribution and elimination of the fluid load was estimated using volume kinetic analysis. Results Patient baseline demographics and intraoperative data did not differ between groups, except for intraoperative RL, having a median of 1,118 ml (range, 900-1,400 ml) in group 1 compared with a median of 2,960 ml (range, 2,000-3,960 ml) in group 2 (P<0.01). There were no significant preoperative versus postoperative differences in the size of the body fluid space expanded by infused fluid (V), whereas the clearance constant kr was higher postoperatively versus preoperatively (P=0.03). The preoperative versus postoperative changes in volume kinetics including V were not different between the two groups. Conclusions Elimination of an intravenous fluid load was increased after laparoscopic cholecystectomy per se but not influenced by the amount of intraoperative fluid administration.

Total digitalization of culture requires the extensive integration of Web 2.0 ser-vices and capabilities into music education. The penetration of digital technologies is not reduced to the technologies for fixing and distributing musical works or the means of their broadcasting but also dramatically transforms the process of creat-ing musical works. Web 2.0 offers a new distributed creativity culture and pro-vides musicians with specific opportunities to work and distribute creative prod-ucts. The study is devoted to the integration of music education and the services and opportunities that Web 2.0 provides to the mass audience (free specialized and non-specialized services), its impact on the quality of music education, as well as on the most important psychological parameters of students of music uni-versities. The study involved 150 students of R. Glier Kyiv Municipal Academy of Music (Kyiv, Ukraine); there were three groups of 50 participants: two exper-imental groups and a control one. In Experimental Group 1, training was partially integrated with Web 2.0 services; in Experimental Group 2, there was a more complete and structured integration. Based on the results of semester training and the objective test scores, a significant increase in the results of experimental groups was observed (an increase by 1.3 points in Group 1 and 2.84 points in Group 2 on a 5-point scale); Group 2 demonstrated a more significant improve-ment. The subjective assessment of the level of involvement, motivation and anx-iety showed a statistically significant decrease in academic anxiety in the experi-mental groups (2.99 and 2.01 compared to 3.98 in the control group, respective-ly) and a statistically significant increase in motivation and involvement in the group with deep integration of Web 2.0 services (Experimental Group 2). The hypothesis of the study that deep integration of Web 2.0 services and capabilities into music education will increase objective academic results, motivation and stu-dent involvement has been fully confirmed. It has also been revealed that it helps students reduce academic anxiety. The research results can be used as a basis for further research and in the course of the development of music education curricu-la based on online learning, mobile learning and the integration of music learning into a digital environment.

Introduction. Given the significant prevalence of lead in the environment, research in this area has significant social and economic importance. Lead compounds are characterized by high toxicity and increased ability to cumulate in ecosystems, humans, and animals. Lead enters the human body with food, drinking water, atmospheric air, and smoking. Lead causes pathological changes in the nervous system, blood-forming organs, kidneys, etc. Materials and methods. The experiments were carried out on four groups of white female rats, each included seven animals, weighing 150-200 g. The first group of animals was a control. The second group consumed dechlorinated water from the city water supply, followed by lead acetate. The animals from the third and fourth groups drank the same water with sodium stearate and potassium stearate content in a dose of 1/250 LD50. After the 40th-day of the use of these waters, the animals were orally administered lead acetate at a dose of 7 mg/kg. The levels of lipid peroxidation biomarkers were studied by studying the content of diene conjugates (DC) and malondialdehyde (MDA) in blood serum, liver, and kidney homogenates. Results. The administration of 1/2 acetate LD50 to lead in experimental rats drinking water with stearates was accompanied by a significant increase in the DCs concentration and (MDA) in animals. Higher concentrations of LPO products were observed in the group of animals that consumed water from potassium stearate. Conclusions. 1. With the oral administration of lead acetate against the background of drinking water containing stearates at a dose of 1/250 LD50, an increase in lipid peroxidation indices was noted compared with the control group. 2. Higher concentrations of LPO products were observed in the group of animals consuming water from potassium stearate.

Abstract BackgroundThe incidence of thyroid nodules increased significantly, but the mortality rate of thyroid cancer remained stable or even decreased. However, surgical treatment of thyroid nodules is more aggressive, including the number and scope of surgery. the purpose of our study was to evaluate whether unilateral thyroid nodules affect the malignancy risk of contralateral thyroid nodules. Methods We conducted a retrospective study on all patients with thyroid nodules in a tertiary hospital within one year. Unilateral and bilateral thyroid nodules were the control group and the experimental group, respectively. Based on the TI-RADS grades, the experimental group and the control group were divided into two subgroups. We used chi-square test or Fisher's exact test to evaluate whether there were statistical differences in the incidence and pathological types of thyroid cancer between the experimental group and the control group. Results Our study showed that there was no significant difference in malignant risk between the experimental group 1 and the control group 1, and the experimental group 2 and the control group 2 (20%vs35%, p=0.724, 63.16%vs76.32%, p=0.297, respectively). Both the a-side thyroid of the experimental group and the control group were papillary thyroid carcinoma, including micropapillary thyroid carcinoma, and there was no difference in the proportion of micropapillary thyroid carcinoma (p = 0.200, 0.620, respectively). Conclusions There is no evidence that bilateral thyroid nodules affect each other in terms of malignant risk, that is, in bilateral thyroid nodules, unilateral thyroid cancer does not change the malignant risk of contralateral thyroid nodules. This study has been registered with the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry, clinical trial registration number: ChiCTR2000038611, registration time: 2020-09-26.
