This study seeks to analyze the evaluative methods adopted by teachers, carried out by students of undergraduate courses in Business Administration in an Institutions of Higher Education located in the mountains of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The methodology in this research has a descriptive character of the type survey and the instrument for data collection was a questionnaire composed of 18 (eighteen) closed questions, applied to 18 teachers of Administration courses during the year 2018, using the quantitative approach for data analysis with the help of descriptive statistics. The results allow us to conclude that there is a sign of change in the evaluation methods applied, where teachers demonstrate the use of other evaluation tools, besides the traditional test, and migrating to more modern and efficient methods.

ABSTRACTObjective: to develop handbook of standards, routines and techniques’ nursing in a Home for the aged, in Rio Grande do Sul, through action research. Methodology: this is an action-research conducted in a home for the aged, from August to December 2007, in Rio Grande do Sul. The subjects were two researchers and ten employees: a nurse, two nursing technicians and seven caregivers. Data collection and data analysis occurred concomitantly and collectively. They have been performed by means of four meetings/seminars and have been used records and annotations in research diary after reflections/discussions of the themes: the importance of preparing the standards; contributions of the standards for workers; contributions of the standards for the aged residents; standards, routines, technics, suggestions on preparation of the Manual. The project has sent to the Ethics and Research Committee at Health, with the assent number 007/2007. Results: the manual has been prepared between researchers and workers together, performing the necessities of the setting, has been implemented later. It has been was composed of: introduction, tasks of nursing workers; standards, routines and technics. Conclusion: the standards drafted brought better systematization of care to workers and contribution to improving care for institutionalized aged. Descriptors: nursery; administration; aged. homes for the aged. RESUMOObjetivo: elaborar um Manual de normas, rotinas e técnicas de enfermagem em uma Instituição de Longa Permanência para Idosos, no Rio Grande do Sul, por meio da pesquisa-ação. Metodologia: pesquisa-ação realizada em uma instituição de longa permanência para idosos, de agosto a dezembro de 2007, no Rio Grande do Sul. Foram participantes dois pesquisadores e dez trabalhadores: um enfermeiro, duas técnicas de enfermagem e sete cuidadoras. A coleta e análise dos dados se deram de forma concomitante e coletiva. Foram realizadas por meio de quatro reuniões/seminários. Foram utilizados gravação e anotações em diário de pesquisa, após reflexões/discussões dos temas: Importância da elaboração do Manual; Contribuições do Manual para os trabalhadores; Contribuições do Manual para os idosos residentes; Normas; Rotinas; Técnicas; Sugestões na elaboração do Manual. O projeto foi encaminhado ao Comitê de Ética e Pesquisa na Área da Saúde, tendo parecer favorável número 007/2007. Resultados: o Manual foi elaborado conjuntamente entre pesquisadores e trabalhadores, atendendo as necessidades contextuais, sendo, implantado, posteriormente. Ficou composto por: Introdução; Atribuições dos trabalhadores da Enfermagem; Normas; Rotinas e Técnicas. Conclusão: o Manual elaborado trouxe melhor sistematização do cuidado para os trabalhadores e contribuição para melhoria da assistência aos idosos institucionalizados. Metodología: se llevó a cabo la investigación-acción en un hogar para ancianos, de agosto a diciembre de 2007, en Río Grande do Sul. Dos participantes eran investigadores y diez empleados: una enfermera, dos técnicos de enfermería y siete cuidadores. Recopilación y análisis de datos se expresaron de forma concomitante y colectiva. Se realiza por medio de cuatro reuniones y seminarios. Se utilizó para escribir notas y diario de investigación después de las reflexiones o debates de los temas: la importancia de la preparación del Manual, las contribuciones del manual para los trabajadores, las contribuciones del Manual para los residentes de edad avanzada; normas, rutinas, técnicas, consejos sobre la preparación del Manual. El proyecto fue remitido a la Ética y la Investigación en Salud, con el número 007/2007. Resultados: el manual fue elaborado conjuntamente entre los investigadores y trabajadores, teniendo en cuenta las necesidades del contexto, se va a desplegar más tarde. Se compone de: introducción, tareas de los trabajadores de enfermería; normas, rutinas y técnicas. Conclusión: manual elaborado traído una mejor sistematización de la atención a los trabajadores y su contribución a mejorar la atención de los ancianos institucionalizados. The image of Sarajevo is still quite unexplored. The image of the city of Sarajevo has long been disturbed due to war events, but also because of the unstable political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The purpose of the paper is to explore the cognitive, affective, and conative components of the image of the city of Sarajevo. The goal is to discover how the cognitive, affective, and conative component influences the overall image of the city of Sarajevo. The paper used a quantitative approach to research, which included data collection through surveys. This study used a convenience sample of 250 foreign tourists – tourists who visited Sarajevo during the winter (from December 10, 2018, to January 31, 2019). For data analysis, descriptive statistics and ANOVA were used. The results of the research have shown that the cognitive, affective, and conative components of the image have a statistically significant positive influence on the overall image of the city of Sarajevo.

This study aims to understand the perceptions of care of families living in a rural settlement in the northwestern area of Rio Grande do Sul. It is an ethnographical based qualitative field research, which has used the Observation-Participation-Reflection Model for data collection, performed between February and March, 2011. The data analysis went through four steps: raw data collection and documentation, describers and indexes identification, contextual and current patterns analysis, and identification of research themes and relevant findings. The study has shown that, for the settlers who participated in the study, care is bound to their vision of world, meaning a commitment of everybody, under the collective and individual premise of improvement of their lives. It is concluded that Nursing needs to understand cultural behaviors in order to enable a congruent and holistic care.

This article analyzes the interest of Business Administration students in the area of Production and Operations. A field study involving data collection of data from 165 students of institutions of higher education in the city of Fortaleza, in the northeastern area of Brazil. Data were evaluated through techniques of regression and cluster analysis. It was found that students have an intermediate level of interest in the area, and that this interest is positively influenced by factors such as intent to pursue a career in the area. Also the perception of educational and professional impact, as well as the importance of the area for the course were studied.

ABSTRACT Objective To identify the risk of illness related to the work context of nurse professors of stricto sensu nursing post-graduation programs of public institutions. Method Mixed study (convergent and parallel) carried out in federal universities in Rio Grande do Sul, with nurse professors, from November 2015 to October 2016. As data collection techniques, the Work Context Assessment Scale and a semi-structured interview were used. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. Results For the quantitative data, it was identified that all factors on the scale were assessed as critical for the risk of illness. The reports complement the quantitative data, and point to work overload, competitiveness, and inadequate infrastructure. Conclusion This study offers subsidies for the implementation of actions aimed at the health of nursing professors and helps in the understanding of the work context, which presents risks for illness.

The purpose of this research to determine the achievement of the implementation of oversais industry practices in the Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University in 2018 in terms of Context, Input, Process, and Product evaluation. This research was included in a descriptive research using a quantitative approach. Data collection was taken through questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis used descriptive statistics and presented in the form of tables and histograms supported by interview data. The results showed that. (1) Achievement of context evaluation included in the excellent category of 87,5% with 28 respondents and an average total score of 12,5. (2) Achievement of input evaluation included in the excellent category of 90,63% with 29 respondents and an average total score of 80,7. (3) Achievement of process evaluation included in the excellent category of 75% with 24 respondents and an average total score of 131,5. (4) Achievement of product evaluation included in the excellent category of 81,25% with 26 respondents and an average total score of 16,8.

Este artigo analisa os resultados da segunda etapa da pesquisa Escrita criativa na Academia: a formação do escritor, desenvolvida desde 2015 no Programa de Pós-graduação em Letras (PPGL) PUCRS, cujo objetivo geral é verificar a estrutura curricular e as condições de ensino oferecidas pelos cursos de mestrado e doutorado voltados para a formação do escritor e do pesquisador na área de Escrita Criativa na universidade. Nesta etapa, procurou-se verificar qual a percepção dos discentes acerca das disciplinas oferecidas, bem como os procedimentos metodológicos adotados no curso, visando melhor adequação dessas propostas, bem como apontar caminhos para uma implantação ampla da Área da Escrita Criativa no Brasil. *** Alumni methodological and curricular notes for postgraduate courses in Creative Writing in Brazil ***This article analyses the results of the second stage of the research Creative Writing in Academia: the writer’s education, developed since 2015 at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) Graduate Program in Letters. The general objective is to verify the curricular structure and the teaching conditions offered by the Masters and Doctoral courses focusing on the education of writers and researchers in the area of Creative Writing at PUCRS. At this stage, we sought to ascertain the students’ perceptions about the modules and methodological procedures adopted in the course, aiming at a better development of these proposals, as well as to point out ways for a wider implantation of Creative Writing in Brazil.Keywords: Creative Writing; Higher Education; Graduate Studies; PUCRS; Brazil.
