A Kansei Model of One-Day Circular Tour Considering Satisfaction and Tired Condition of Transportation

The number of Foreign Independent Tour (FIT) is increasing rapidly in the world. The FIT tourists usually leave from one hotel as a base, travel around multiple sightseeing areas and return to the same hotel by using some public transportation methods in one day (we call it “one-day circular tour (OCT)”). However, due to the restriction on the public transport schedule, it is difficult to travel around multiple sightseeing areas efficiently with high satisfaction within a limited time. In our previous research, we proposed a planning algorithm for OCT to obtain high satisfaction using such public transportations. But, the satisfaction and tired condition of transportation was not considered there. In this paper, we propose a Kansei model for OCT including the satisfaction and tired condition of transportation and shows the evaluation results in a case study using persona method on travelers in Iwate Prefecture, Japan.

As we know, there are a lot of public transportation users, especially buses, which are often used in almost all cities around the world. What is our focus this time is bus stops, many of which are abused from their initial function as a place to pick up and drop off passengers, and are very unfit for use. Therefore, a 4D animation information media for public transportation stops was created. This is done to show the public about the convenience of public transportation stops. This utilization also aims to make the bus stop facilities even better and more comfortable according to the needs of prospective passengers. The concept used in this design is "Livability", a word that refers to a good environment for a community to live in. The design results presented in the interior of this waiting facility are to make public transportation users feel safe and comfortable so that people can interact well with each other while waiting for public transportation.Keywords:Animation 4D, Animation 3D, Public Transport.

The major western cities of China are beginning to suffer the growing traffic congestion problems, which eastern cities of China has experienced. Learn lessons from eastern cities on traffic issues as soon as possible, dealing with the diversified modes of public transportation problem of convergence effectively, providing condition for integration development of urban public transport in the west is the main goal in this paper. This paper takes Subway transit Line 6 in Chongqing as a bus connection example. On the basis of passenger volume forecast, integrated public transport optimization theory and method are used to study Chongqing subway transit Line 6 along the feeder site optimization program , it can provide the theoretical foundation and technical support for the public transport network optimization of Chongqing.

Abstract. The global economic development facilitates the process of urbanization, during which more private cars are used, resulting in traffic jams and also more air pollution. It is important to provide an energy-saving public transport means in order to relieve pressure on road transport, reduce emission, and even to offer a new alternative of transport to non-local tourists in their traveling, and public bicycles are such a choice. This article investigates into the public bicycle system in Hangzhou, an extension of the existing public transport, analyzes current utilization of public bicycles, problems we have already encountered, well as suggestions and countermeasures for further improvement, in the hope of providing a good example to other cities in the world in their public transport development

This study has a special interest in urban public transportation institutional framework in the Klang Valley, Malaysia. The notions for the topic were developed from issues regarding institutional framework in delivering urban public transportation. Although the current urban public transport in Klang Valley has improved, there are still issues concerning the institutional framework. To date, there is no single regulator or agency with the express and overriding responsibilities for strategic management of the public transport system in KlangValley. The purpose of this study is therefore to assess the current urban public transportation institutional and governance framework especially towards urban mobility. To achieve this, the study employs the content analysis and case study method, using the purposive sampling approach for expert interviews in gaining the data from participants of related agencies. It examines the importance of public transportation frameworks and present status of current transport development, as well as the roles of urban transportation agencies involved in delivering urban public transport. Results demonstrated that urban public transportation is delivered through multiple agencies with separate roles, not counting the inconsistency of various policies. Hence, the expectation of this study is to suggest practical approaches to improve the current institutional framework of urban public transportation.

The present paper aims to be useful for public transport operators and municipalities, as it should enable them to make decisions and to optimize public transport schedules during peak hours. In this study, we outline the data and the means necessary for the creation and use of a specific database for a dynamic spatial analysis of the public transportation network. This will facilitate the analysis of public transport vehicle operating programs and the simulation of new transport programs using open-source software. This paper delivers the first digital map of the public transport in Bucharest. Using the QGIS software and the PostgresSQL database, (i) we analyzed the accessibility of public transport stops for residential areas (5-min isochrones, corresponding to walking distances of 400 m), and (ii) we determined the correlation of transport vehicle programs with the existing transport network to optimize the headway of vehicles. These two elements were considered for the analysis of public transport performance. The research study was based on the tram network in Bucharest, but it can be easily upscaled for the entire public transport network and may be replicated in other large cities.

Our research investigates current challenges faced in southern Africa’s public transport sector and proposes a possible solution to overcome these challenges. Using South Africa and Zimbabwe as case studies, we identify shared challenges experienced in both countries for which a universal solution may be adopted. It was found that these challenges could mostly be attributed to government actions. We propose a need for better integration of social outcomes within public transport policy at the strategic, tactical and operational levels throughout the region. Moreover, we suggest that technology-driven solutions can be introduced in the public transport realm, amongst other solutions, entailing a universal cashless payment system coupled with GPS technology.

The recent scenario of Public transportation in most of the Indian cities shows only 20% to 30% of the total passengers utilizing any public transit as their mode of travel. Rapid growth in vehicles population has put enormous strains in all urban roads in Vijayawada, due to high vehicle ownership and poor supporting public transport facilities specially in the cities where the population is between 1 to 2 million. With more private vehicles on roads, pollution as well as congestion levels in the cities are also expected to increase. The major factor is very low ridership in public transport due to poor service quality and more travelling time. Hence there is a need to make the public transit a favorable mode of transport for the passengers. This study is concerned of assessment of public transport demand for Vijayawada and identifies the major factors for poor ridership with estimation of the probable shift of personal vehicle users to bus due to the increase in its level of service also identifies ways to account qualitative factors in the public transport project evaluation by adjusting travel time values to reflect comfort and convenience.

In order to alleviate the traffic problems, development of public transport routes is gaining more attention nowadays. Based on the case study of several public transport routes, this paper explores this new development model which gives priority to public transportation. The author studies the background, the operation features and the innovative values of these routes. The study proves that public transport routes will not only solve the transport difficulties, but will also enhance the policy of public transport priority.

The emergence of ecommerce almost three decades ago has completely transformed the approach to purchasing goods and services across various countries in the world. Almost every country in the globe, now have some form of ecommerce operations, this has further been enhanced by the stay at home COVID-19 induced lockdowns. The value and volume of transactions has also increased in transactions. However, there has been security concerns impacting ecommerce operations, which has in part, led to increasing adoption of hosting ecommerce systems in the public cloud. Threat modelling offer mechanisms to enhance the security of information technology (IT) systems. In this paper, we apply different threat modelling techniques to decompose the migration of an on-premise hosted ecommerce system to the public cloud and also evaluate these threat modelling techniques.
