Conventionally in many countries, electrical power industry is organized as vertically integrated system. Under this system, large utilities are authoritative for the generation, transmission and distribution of electrical power. Such utilities are governed by the rules and regulations of the government and are forced to operate within the prescribed guidelines with minimal profit. This confirmation causes an ineffective and sluggish perspective in power industry with a lack of technical innovation, competent management and customer satisfaction. To overcome these deficiencies, power sector around the globe is getting restructured. This paper addresses an inevitable technical disputes occurring in deregulated environment i.e., transmission congestion which has an adverse effect on system security, increase in electricity pricing and line losses. Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) is a boon to the power sector which helps in a better and reliable power flow through the transmission lines. The problem is articulated as a multi objective function satisfying all the operational and security limits. Three heuristic algorithms namely Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Symbiotic Organism Search (SOS) and hybrid Quantum based PSO-Bio-geography based krill herd optimization (Q-PSOBBKH) algorithms were applied in finding solution to this complex congestion problem. To study the effectiveness of the proposed objective, IEEE 14 bus system was considered as the test system. In order to validate the proposed methodology three congestion cases i.e. bilateral transaction, multilateral transaction and overloading were imposed on the test bus system. Simulation was carried out in MATLAB.

<p>The Green Energy sources (solar, wind) are performing a vigorous role to reach the electrical power demand. Due to the presence of non-linear loads, reactive loads in the distribution system and the injection of wind power into the grid integrated system results power quality issues like current harmonics, voltage fluctuations, reactive power demand etc. This paper mainly investigates the designing and satisfactory performance evaluation of solar farm as PV-STATCOM (Static Synchronous Compensator) for enhancement of power quality in grid tie system by using MATLAB environment (Simulink). The proportional and integral (PI) Controller and Hysteresis Current Controller (HCC) were effectively utilized to inject the desired current from voltage source converter (VSC) based PV-STATCOM at PCC for the mitigation of quality related problems in the proposed test system.</p>

China's electrical power industry has been undergoing piecemeal reforms over the last 15 years. Some of these reforms, such as substantial tariff increases, have been deliberate and have been implemented directly by government. Other changes, such as the increased variety of investors, including foreign investors, have been more spontaneous and have resulted in a gradual evolution in the way the industry works. In 1996 the Chinese government announced a more radical package of reform starting with the new Electricity Law which laid the foundations for a degree of competition in power generation, but without wholesale privatization.

The electrical power sector is a social and strategical significant economic area which provides all sectors of the economy and the population with electric power resources. Currently, the industry is characterized by a high level of worn-out fixed assets and an ever-increasing technical and technological backlog. The innovative development way is crucial for the electric power industry. It ensures the use of alternative energy sources, improves quality and reliability of power supply. In order to move the country from the export economy to the resource-innovative one, the interaction between the government and private electric power companies is required. The author has developed a concessionary mechanism based on public-private partnerships, contributing to innovative activities of electric power companies. The article provides a diagram of the procedure for concluding a concessionary agreement for performing innovative activities in the electric power industry. It allows us to study a competition procedure. The purpose of the concessionary mechanism is to achieve social and economic effects of investment and innovation processes in the electric power.

The study aims to analyze about the low graduation and certification exam training participants of the procurement of goods / services of the government and its contributing factors, and formulate a strategy of education and training and skills certification exams procurement of goods / services of the government. Collecting data using the method of study documentation, interviews, and questionnaires. Is the official source of information on the structural and functional Regional Employment Board, as well as the participants of the training and skills certification exams procurement of goods / services of the government in Magelang regency government environment. Analysis using 4 quadrant SWOT analysis, to determine the issue or strategic factors in improving the quality of education and training and skills certification exams procurement of government goods / services within the Government of Magelang regency. The results show organizer position is in quadrant I, which is supporting the growth strategy, with 3 alternative formulation strategies that improve the quality of education and training and skills certification exams procurement of government goods / services, and conducts certification examination of the procurement of government goods / services with computer assisted test system (CAT). Based on the research recommendations formulated advice to the organizing committee, namely: of prospective participants of the training and skills certification exams procurement of goods / services the government should consider the motivation of civil servants, is examinees who have attended training in the same period of the year, the need for simulation procurement of goods / services significantly, an additional allocation of training time, giving sanction to civil servants who have not passed the exam, the provision of adequate classroom space with the number of participants of each class are proportional, as well as explore the evaluation of education and training and skills certification exams procurement of goods / services for Government of participants.

Worldwide, hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is still a major public health problem. Bangladesh having a large burden of HBV infection, should be a major contributor towards it’s elimination by 2030. The country has been making progress in reducing incidence of HBV infection during the past decades. The progresses are mainly due to large vaccination coverage among children and large coverage of timely birthdose vaccine for prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HBV. However, Bangladesh still faces challenges in achieving target of reduction in mortality from HBV. On the basis of targets of the WHO’s Global health sector strategy on viral hepatitis 2016–2021, we highlight priorities for action towards HBV elimination. To attain the target of reduced mortality we propose that, the service coverage targets of diagnosis and treatment should be prioritized along with vaccination. Firstly, improvements are needed in the diagnostic and treatment abilities of medical institutions and health workers. Secondly, the government needs to reduce the costs of health care. Thirdly, better coordination is needed across existing national program and resources to establish an integrated system for prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment of HBV infection. In this way, we can make progress towards achieving the target of eliminating HBV from Bangladesh by 2030 J Bangladesh Coll Phys Surg 2020; 38(3): 145-149

The public service administration system at the government offices of the Kemiri village office in the Kemiri District currently does not have a computerized and integrated system. Because the system runs, residents who submit letters for administrative completeness, still use the Ms.Word / Ms.Excel application. of course has many weaknesses including human error, not neat in file storage, resulting in the lengthy process of searching and making a cover letter and required reports. The analytical method used in this study is to use PIECES (Performance, Informance, Economy, Control, Efficiency, Service) analysis, the design of the model uses UML (Unified Modeling Language). The results of this study are web-based letter information systems at the Office of the Village Chief of Kemiri that can accessed using a local computer browser. Thus the information letter needed by the Kemiri Village community and more effective and efficient in making the letter.

One of the most important tasks of System Operator (SO) is to manage congestion as it threatens system security and may cause rise in electricity price resulting in market inefficiency. In corrective action congestion management schemes, it is crucial for SO to select the most sensitive generators to re-schedule their real and reactive powers and the loads to curtail in extreme congestion management. This paper proposed the selection of most sensitive generators and loads to re-schedule their generation and load curtailment based on the improved line flow sensitivity indices to manage congestion. The impact of slack bus on power flow sensitivity factors has been determined to encourage fair competition in the electricity markets. Effect of bilateral and multilateral transactions, and impact of multi-line congestion on congestion cost has also been studied. The generators’ reactive power bid has been modeled by a continuous differentiable tangent hyperbolic function. The proposed concept of congestion management has been tested on a practical 75-bus Indian system and IEEE-118-bus test system.
