The year 2012 and 2013 can be regarded as the mudaraba sukuk revival since winning number and the value as compared to previous years. Indonesian mudaraba  sukuk  attract  Islamic financial worlds'   attention,  because  he was the first Indonesian sukuk while abroad is more aitively issuing ijara sukuk. In addition, it is identified that the Indonesia mudaraba sukuk is very attractive to investors and seem to be consistent and honest, but why ultimately mudaraba sukuk like abandoned? Actually, the more appropriate format for sukuk is mudhrabah while it is difficult to be applied in Islamic banking. Indonesia mudaraba sukuk application is quite phenomenal because it provides a very high return even once reached 24.3%, the highest return compared to all the world's sukuk and more Islamic and even more consistent in many ways. However, according to the application in general, mudaraba sukuk is still not consistent in terms of  Shariah compliance, such as providing income and principal guarantees. Further, the fluctuation phenomenon of use of fixed return sukuk type and floating return in Indonesia is quite interesting to obseroe the high returns associated with these and also with the market desire to implement the shariah compliant sukuk. The authors analyze the problem in this paper qualitatively from two perspectives, namely through sharia compliance perspective and the perspective of investment effectiveness. Key words: mudaraba, sukuk, Islamic financial, Islamic banking

Islamic banking is basically a system of financial intermediation, its primary objective is to avoid receipt and payment of interest. Islam does not only prohibit dealing with interest but also with liquor, pork, gambling, pornography and any other thing which are considered haram according to Shariah. The objectives of the research is to study and describe the Islamic financing techniques used by Islamic banking institutions in Malaysia and Pakistan. For this research seven variables Promotion, Product, Preference, Knowledge, Performance, Problem and Infrastructure was taken. Qualitative technique was used to answer the research objective. The findings of research indicate that lack of awareness of Islamic banking is very high in Pakistan as compared to Malaysia. A few promotions were used by Islamic banks in Pakistan while in Malaysia customers are knowledgeable about Islamic banking because banks promote them aggressively. There is a need of government and education sector support to promote Islamic banking in both countries. The study also found that Islamic banks in Malaysia have large range of products as compared to Pakistan. The practitioners from both countries are agreed at this point that BBA, Ijarah and Murabaha are more profitable and less risky than Musharaka and Mudaraba. The Islamic banking products are almost used for same purposes in both countries while some differences are also exists.  Keywords: Islamic Finance, Comparative Study, Malaysia, Pakistan

To investigate the prevalence of amphistome parasites in Black Bengal goats slaughtered at different slaughterhouses of Mymensingh district, a total of 144 gastro-intestinal tracts were examined during the period of July 1998 to June 1999 in the Department of Parasitology, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh. Out of 144 Black Bengal goats, 105 (72.92%) were infected with a single or multiple species of amphistomes.  In present investigation, three species of amphistomes viz Paramphistomum cervi, Cotylophoron cotylophorum and Gastrothylax crumenifer were identified. The highest infection was observed with Paramphistomum cervi (65.28%) and lowest infection with Cotylophoron cotylophorum (36.11%). Mixed infections with two or more species of amphistomes were found in 60.42%. Age had a significant (p < 0.01) influence on the prevalence of amphistomes in goat. A higher prevalence (89.58%) was observed in older animals followed by young animals (78.57%), whereas a lower prevalence (45.0%) in growing animals. However, the prevalence increased with the increase of age. The females (75.0%) were found more (1.44 times) susceptible to amphistomes infection than the males (67.5%). The prevalence of amphistomes was very high all the year round and the rate of infection was 83.64%, 69.23% and 64.0% during monsoon, winter and summer season respectively. The present study concluded that Black Bengal goats are susceptible to amphistome infection irrespective of age, sex and season of the year. So, control of these parasites is essential and the further investigation is needed, focusing on control procedures of amphistomes infection in goats. Key Words: Amphistomes, prevalence, Black Bengal goats DOI = 10.3329/bjvm.v4i2.1292 Bangl. J. Vet. Med. (2006). 4 (2): 103-106

Implementations of inference engine systems invoke many costs, including the cost of the inference engine itself, the cost of integrating the inference engine, and the cost of specialized personnel needed to create and maintain the system. These costs make a very high return on investment a criterion for incorporating these systems into the corporate portfolio of applications and technologies. Recently, the No Inference Engine Theory (NIET) [8] has been developed for creating procedural propositional logic rule-based systems. The NIET systems are implemented in traditional procedural languages such as C++ and do not need an inference engine or proprietary languages, thus eliminating the cost of the inference engine, the cost of integrating the system, and the cost for knowledge of a proprietary language. In addition, these procedural systems are an order of magnitude faster [8] than inference systems and maintain linear performance. For problems using propositional logic, the procedural systems described in this paper offer dramatically lower costs, higher performance, and ease of integration. Lowering the external costs and eliminating the need for specialized skills should make NIET systems more profitable and lead to the wider use of propositional logic systems in business.

N2O emissions from soils under aerobic conditions were severalfold higher in the presence of azide (1 mM) than in its absence. Nitrogen, added either as NH4+ or NO3−, had no effect on the azide’s induced N2O production. Although the physiological basis by which azide induces the very high evolution of N2O remains unknown, it cannot be attributed to nitrification as a source of N2O emission in the presence of azide, the inhibitory effect of azide on the reduction of N2O to N2, or to the extensive destruction of azide by nitrite under the conditions of the present study. A possible explanation may lie in the stimulation of denitrification processes due to the azide’s role in the synthesis of denitrifying enzymes. This study has reconfirmed that, like N-serve and C2H2, azide (1 mM) is a very effective inhibitor of nitrification. However, azide had no effect on the oxidation of NO2− to NO3−, and was also shown not to be a general inhibitor of microbial activity. Key words: Denitrification, nitrification, dissimilatory nitrase reductase, denitrifying enzymes
