Crowdfunding is an activity to collect small amounts of funds from a large audience via the internet without involving a financing intermediary. This study aims to determine the effect of fundraising, product testing, relationship reliability, and awareness-raising on the performance of the crowdfunding platform as an alternative source of business or business funding. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach, where Google forms were distributed to 267 project proponents, owners, or administrators in ASEAN countries as a sample and 197 sets of questionnaires were returned with complete answers and further analyzed. The data analysis used includes descriptive analysis, Pearson correlation, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that all independent variables, namely the creator's intention in the form of fundraising, product testing, relationship reliability, and awareness-raising, have a positive and significant influence on the performance of the crowdfunding platform. This has practical implications that the creator's intention must be a concern for project proponents and fund owners who invest or distribute their funds in addition to paying attention to the business proposal and the reliability of the crowdfunding platform operator.

Bilebante Green Tourism Village Central Lombok and Sesaot Green Tourism Village are two tourist villages that have the same history in building and developing tourist villages. DWH Bilebante was first initiated for its development by the Putri Renjani cooperative. At the same time, DWH Sesaot was ideated and set for the first time by the Sugeh Engger Sesaot Cooperative. The cooperative has a business unit, DWH, which is tasked with developing tourism businesses to increase cooperative profits. The two DWHs were also facilitated in 2014 by GIZ (Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit), an institution from Germany whose primary focus is building the Government of Indonesia to develop Tourism Villages. These two villages were significantly impacted by the organization's assistance in developing the village into tourist spots. This study aims to find out how the tour packagesinnovationoccurred at DWH Bilebante and DWH Sesaot. This research describes how to tour package innovations and product designs are carried out using a business model BMC (business model canvas). This research is qualitative. The reference for innovation comes from Law No. 19. Innovation is a research, development, and/or engineering activity carried out to develop the practical application of new scientific values and contexts or new ways to apply existing science and technology into products or production processes. This research was included in the research and development study, and the engineering carried out for the development. So, this study views the process in Research & Development developed by Sugiono (2008:40). It can be used to describe how the tour package innovations were carried out by the two DWHs, Bilebante and Sesaot. The stage starts from finding potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, redesign vision, product testing, product revision, product testing, potential and problems, mass production (marketing). The study results are DWH Bilebante, and DWH Sesaot have carried out various tour package innovations but have not implemented BMC (business model canvas) to innovate tour package products. They have stepped up the process without going through product designs made in BMC, so the resulting product has no desirability, feasibility, viability. Thus these two DWHs have not been able to sell tour packages optimally with maximum value.

This chapter is written to describe the concept of product testing in agri-food supply chains and the methods that are being developed to identify instances of product non-conformance with either regulatory requirements, market requirements or both. The emergence of a range of new technologies provides opportunity to build on existing product testing protocols and offer complementary alternative and rapid testing of food which can provide assurance that food products are consistently what they are purported to be. Microbiological contamination will not be considered in this chapter. Effective and targeted product testing also acts as a potential deterrent against food safety incidents and food fraud. The chapter also introduces the term “foodomics” and what this means in terms of smart agri-food supply chains.

Applying the methods of system analysis, the system goal of metrological support for petroleum product testing is justified; the goal is to obtain accurate, complete, reliable measurement information about the composition and properties of petroleum products, which is achieved via solving two subgoals: а) creating conditions for obtaining the testing results having the required accuracy; б) achieving such a state of the testing progress that would ensure the receipt of accurate and reliable measurement information about the petroleum product composition and properties. The disclosure of the first and second subgoals forms the structure of the metrological support system intended for testing of petroleum products, which is a complex of conventional elements and processes of metrological support and procedures for controlling the process of petroleum product testing. In the structure of the metrological support system under development purposed for petroleum product testing, both well-known and generally recognized elements and processes of metrological support, as well as new elements and processes that capture the specific features of the testing process as a subject of metrological support. In particular, it is proposed to use validation and verification procedures to confirm the metrological applicability of testing methods intended for petroleum products, and the need for verification of operators, who carry out the tests, is given. In order to reduce the petroleum testing inaccuracy, the need to include measures to control the process of petroleum product testing in a lab by way of the metrological support system is justified. The following sequence of actions for metrological support of petroleum products testing is shown; it allows achieving such a state of the testing process, in which the tolerance of the obtained results is within certain statistically adjusted limits and the reliability of the test results is confirmed by the stability of the tolerance values.

AbstractDespite the widespread use of malaria rapid diagnostic test (RDT) in clinical practice, there are a lot of challenges. We conducted a secondary analysis of 129 malaria RDT data from rounds 5–8 of the World Health Organization (WHO) product testing summary and discuss the causes of false-negative (FN) results with a focus on low parasite density, improper RDT storage, operation and interpretation, and plasmodium falciparum with a pfhrp2/3 gene deletion. The results demonstrated that the malaria RDTs currently commercially available might cause FN results in practice.

Abstract Prevention and control of Listeria monocytogenes remains a challenge in food manufacturing facilities and methods adopted vary across different production systems and food categories. Regulatory policies also vary from region to region, although there is a convergence across the world towards risk-based approaches. Given these inconsistencies, the objective of this commentary is to reiterate two fundamentally critical components of Listeria control and prevention, and the potential benefits of actively coupling food contact surface testing and risk-based product testing programs.
