The idea, proposed in this work, is that who are introducing educational innovation in University teaching should focus more on the renewal of a curriculum more than in a single course's changes. University teaching innovation  often focuses on the changes introduced within a single discipline through the adoption of some educational technologies or new teaching-learning-evaluation methods,  keeping the focus only on the single discipline and not on the curriculum as a whole. With reference to the work of  Ronald Harden about the eight roles of the university teacher, we underline  the role of  Curriculum developer and implementer. Six models are proposed to classify the introduction of innovative curricula. The different ways by which Problem Based Learning was introduced in university curricula are described  as  examples of the six models.

This manuscript presents an innovative experience in the teaching–learning process with three objectives. The first is to incorporate the principles and values of social justice, reciprocity and solidarity in the subject ‘Statistics Applied to Business’ in the bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management at the University of the Basque Country. The second objective addresses how to apply active methodologies in the teaching of economics and business from a competency-based approach in order to investigate its impact. The third one, on the other hand, tries to explore how to provide students with active distance learning tools to improve and guarantee the quality of the teaching–learning process. The results of the experience demonstrate the potential of technical subjects for the development of transversal competencies and the capacity of students to design and solve complex problems with creativity and knowledge of social and labour realities. Likewise, greater motivation, better knowledge acquisition and appropriation of the work by the students are also detected. Finally, this article shows the potential of methodologies that involve the combined responsibility of students and teachers in the generation of knowledge that favours a professional development that is permeable and sensitive to the changes occurring in the social and labour world.   Keywords: Problem-based learning, distance teaching, pandemic, teaching innovation

ABSTRACTThe subject is approached from the line of research of Teaching Innovation by the members of the research group: "Educational Innovation in Teaching and Learning Processes", of The Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco, which academic model contributes to the comprehensive education of students, resulting in the improvement of the quality of their education process and the strengthening of their abilities for their own benefit. The results show the students’ lack of information over the academic advice and the role of the advisor in the academic life of the university students. The research instrument used to measure the information were two semi-structured questionnaires applied to university students at different times from November 2012 to June 2013. Contacto principal: [email protected]

The use of active methodologies in the university is a priority to achieve higher quality learning. One of these methodologies with the greatest potential for training in competencies is Project-Oriented Learning (PLA), using it in an innovative way. Associating the use of this methodology with the objectives of sustainable development, which have become even more important since the Pandemic by COVID-19, can be a good idea to achieve a more sustained and situated learning. The aim of this study is to find out to what extent research on teaching innovation with Project-Oriented Learning is associated with the Sustainable Development Goals. A systematic review was carried out as indicated by PRISMA through the following databases: WOS and Scopus. WOS found 15 articles on AoP and 6 on Project-Oriented Learning and sustainability. In Scopus 2 were found in 2019. The main results show that in the University, especially in the branches of engineering, AoP is widely used, however, it is rarely related to SDGs. Among the conclusions, we highlight the need for research on project-oriented learning and sustainable development goals.

Intellection of upbringing in the global context of science that deals with theoretical and practical research in the field of upbringing and education at all levels has brought about a revival. Traditional teaching, which pays more attention to education and less to upbringing, has led to a partial diminishing in the importance of upbringing at higher levels of education, especially in a university context. Various translations of works from other languages into English, often translating upbringing as education, also contributed to this. In order to give upbringing a place it deserves in the university teaching, and to equate it with education in a university context, we considered social forms as potential preconditions for “returning” the presence of upbringing activities to the university level. By looking at this issue through the teaching process, it was important to emphasize the contribution of pedagogy workshop to encouraging the upbringing function of teaching. We have distinguished the pedagogy workshop from other social forms because participation in it equally affects the sensory, emotional, and moral functions of all participants in the teaching process (and not just intellectual ones), which were important in the research of the role of upbringing. Previous research has shown that creative university teaching contributes to fostering the educational role of teaching and helps self-actualization, which is beneficial for all participants in the teaching process.

This article presents the highlights of the learning experience within the teaching-learning scheme of French as an additional language as it was proposed to international students at the university to ensure pedagogical continuity during the health crisis between April and June 2020. Through vignettes that give an overview of the course, it proposes, on the one hand, to reflect on the pedagogical choices that were made in order to measure their effects effectively. On the other hand, it looks at the role of the tasks and the way in which they stimulate interaction, articulate or organise the cognitive, conative and socio-affective presence at a distance in this particular context. What emerges from the experience is that the flexible articulation of a set of tasks creates an organising framework that helps learners to shape their own curriculum while supporting their engagement. Overall, the pedagogical organisation of the device has led to potentially beneficial creative and socio-interactive use.

This chapter deals with the implementation of a teaching innovation in the context of higher education, based on the creation of 3D-videos through the use of cooperative learning and the development of digital teaching competence in English as a foreign language teacher training. Specifically, this methodological proposal is situated within the framework of the course Foreign Language for Primary School Teachers (English) of the Degree in Primary Education at the University of Cordoba, Spain, and it has been implemented in three academic years (2016-17, 2017-18, and 2018-19). The most important result of this study is that CL strategies develop pre-service EFL teachers' engagement in learning and improving their knowledge on English and enhance their digital competence while reducing the achievement gap with lower-achievement pre-service teachers thanks to heterogeneous groups. Nevertheless, this process of teaching innovation highlights that there is still much to be done to maximize the impact of cooperative learning in foreign language teaching-learning processes.

This article explores the relevance of journalism education in Nepal based on personal observations of university teaching-learning practices. In particular, I focus on the triangular relationship between corporate, educational socioeconomic challenges of journalism/media education. I also analyze the recent trend of journalism and mass communication education in Nepal shedding light on the challenges of Nepalese media education system especially in the university level. I further suggest how media educators help determine what news is (not), and at the same time describe avenues for engaging media educators, policy makers and content producers for meeting the market demands. Palabras clave: Procedimiento, habilidades, problemas químicos, cálculo Abstract: It is introduced the contextualization of the skill to interpret from solving chemical problems with mathematical calculation. The main objective was intended to propose a teaching procedure in order to the development of such skill in the students from the career Bachelor of Education majoring in Biology-Chemistry at the University of Las Tunas. The procedure is characterized by establishing relationships between different types of calculations and heuristic solution procedures, from the application of principles, rules and strategies. The contextual reality is integrated so that the role of students in the assimilation of chemical content is increased. By implementing the procedure feasibility and effectiveness is found during the teaching-learning process, starting from the increment of the quality in the analyses, with higher levels of independence in reasoning when comparing, assessing and generalizing the relationships to apply the chemical theory in the resolution of problems with mathematical calculation.  Key words: Procedure, chemical problems, mathematical calculations.
