In China, the mature development of online retail channels provides consumers with multiple consumption choices, and the factors that affect whether consumers choose to search or purchase online are numerous and complex. In this context, this paper reports on experimental research regarding consumers’ willingness to choose channels based on the two-stage decision-making theory. Using structural equation modeling, the factors influencing consumers’ online search intention and purchase willingness and the relationship between them are studied. In particular, the perceived benefits, channel trust, and channel transfer costs are explored. Furthermore, a Bayesian network is used in order to analyze the degree of influence of each factor quantitatively. It is found that online trust is an important factor affecting consumers’ online search intention, and the most important factor for consumers’ online purchase intention is their perceived benefits of online shopping. At the same time, there is a positive relationship between online search intention and purchase intention. This study can provide management decision support for online retail enterprises and help to promote the healthy development of online shopping.

We examined the factors affecting consumer purchase intention of a cosmetic product after the Fukushima nuclear incident and the role of distinctiveness in postcrisis recovery. Through a 2-group experiment and structural equation modeling, we found that the incident did not affect the firm's reputation and brand image but it was perceived as a significant threat to health and product safety that consequently negatively affected purchasing intentions. Findings also showed that high distinctiveness is a valid factor in diminishing the impact of crisis. In particular, a firm's reputation and indirect effects on revenue are least affected by, or even positively related to distinctiveness. We have included discussion of the critical implications for firms around the importance of maintaining desirable relationships with the public as preparation for a crisis and for rapid postcrisis recovery.

This study is aimed to determine how the influence of heritage advertising, brand awareness and brand trust in creating the intention to buy. This study took 130 respondents and using purposive sampling method. Data analysis techniques used confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling with software LISREL 8.80. The results showed that heritage ads significantly influence brand awareness but not for brand trust and intention to buy. On the other hand, brand awareness significantly influences brand trust as well as intention to buy. Furthermore, brand trust significantly influences intention to buy. Thus, a service provider needs to develop heritage advertising as its function to develop brand awareness which finally create intention to buy. A service provider has to maintain and develop brand awareness because it will create brand trust and intention to buy.

This study is aimed at exploring the effects of components of brand equity on overall brand equity; and the effects of overall brand equity on brand preference and purchase intention in the motorbike market in Vietnam. Based on a sample of 309 consumers, structural equation modeling (SEM) is used to test hypotheses. The research reveals that: (1) perceived quality, brand association and brand loyalty have positive effects on overall brand equity, but brand awareness has no effect on overall brand equity; (2) overall brand equity has positive impacts on brand preference and purchase intention; and (3) brand preference has a positive influence on purchase intention. These findings have implications for marketers.

This study adopts Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to measure factors affecting green food purchase intention in Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC). The survey data was collected from 197 students during the period of 1st to 20th September, 2017. Testing the conceptual model by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), we find that perceived usefulness of green food and perceived ease of purchase impact on attitudes towards green food purchase. We also find that subjective norm, perceived usefulness of green food, attitudes towards green food purchase are positively associated with green food purchase intention. From the research findings, some recommendations are proposed accordingly.

Zipping and zapping is better known as TV channel transfers that viewers can record, pause and repeat TV broadcasts. It can be stated that zipping and zapping can cause ads to be no longer effective and efficient as a means of promotion and communication of products. Therefore, to create good communication, advertising can be used and product placement is one of the advertising choices. Product placement is one of the most advanced advertising industries. Product placement makes the audience's attention indirectly focus on the brand or product that is placed on television shows or films, and companies that use product placement can avoid zipping and electric shocks. Based on the previous explanation, this research was conducted to determine whether product placement had a positive effect on brand awareness and intention to buy Indonesian people. This research was conducted with quantitative research methods through an online questionnaire. This study applied a purposive sampling method and was aimed at respondents who had watched Indonesian Idol 2018. The study consisted of 154 respondents. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The results show that there are two supported hypotheses and one hypothesis that is not supported. This study concludes that there is a positive influence of product placement and brand awareness, there is no positive influence of product placement and purchase intention, and there is a positive influence of brand awareness and purchase intention.

Consumers are increasingly depending on online and social platforms to find product and brand information while fashion brands seek to further engage with consumers online. This study proposes a five-construct structural model to measure the influence of product involvement, fashion brand involvement, altruistic involvement, and online brand engagement on purchase intention in a social media context. Through partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), a sample of 799 shoppers in North America were empirically tested to validate the findings drawn from the model. From the six hypotheses presented, all were accepted; including three hypotheses which were an extension of previous research. The findings confirm a consumer’s journey is prevalent and future testing of the model in new applications will help to enhance and progress social media studies around involvement and engagement. Keywords: Social Media, Product Involvement, Fashion Brand Involvement, Altruistic Involvement, Online Brand Engagement, Purchase Intention, PLS-SEM

Objective - This study aims to investigate the importance of brand trust affecting green product repeat purchases using a statistics program with structural equation modelling (SEM) to conduct confirmation factor analysis and correlation analysis between the independent and dependent variables. Methodology/Technique – This study collected data from 820 green-product consumers in the northeast region of Thailand. Samples were recruited from 20 local department stores across 20 provinces. The study used a stratified sampling technique to stratify each province’s residents. Findings - SEM analysis shows that brand trust has a positive correlation to brand engagement and loyalty with a statistical significance value of 0.05, together with a beta coefficient value of 0.68 and 0.54. The study also found that brand engagement has positive correlation to loyalty with a statistical significance value of 0.05, together with a beta coefficient value of 0.75. These results mean that when the customer trusted the brand, it would lead to brand engagement and being big a fan of the brand. This is because the customer is unfamiliar with green products, and there are some critical factors such as price and quality. Thus, building brand trust would decrease customer apprehension. When customers feel safe, they will feel engage to the brand. Accordingly, when customers are engaged to the brand, they become loyal to the brand leading to repeat purchasers, word of mouth, and brand advocacy. Novelty – This paper contributes to the understanding on green product consumption and customer behaviour and can be used to formulate the right strategies for promoting green products, based on critical factors that influence the customer buying process.
