Development and growth in various aspects of life and progress in development, give an impact on the increasing number of motorized vehicles. This will result in the amount of current traffic increases, while road capability is limited to service. Increased traffic flow happening on a road will affect the capacity and performance of the road itself along the road rubber has quite a lot of traffic activities. Based on such conditions it is deemed necessary to conduct research to find out whether there are capacity problems and road performance on the road that. To get the data the researcher must direct the space to get the traffic data done for three days. After getting traffic volume data, the data is processed so that get results, where the results are in the form of numbers to find out what the capacity and performance of the road is problematic or not according to MKJI 1997 rules. From the results of the research, the results of the DS rubber road were 368.56 / 1247.62 = 0.30, noon 473.93 / 1290.15 = 0.39, afternoon 492.28 / 1332.68 = 040 still in good condition.

Abstract The Meulaboh - Tapak Tuan road is the main access road linking several districts, Aceh Barat, Aceh Barat Daya, Aceh Selatan, and Aceh Tengah. After the earthquake and tsunami hit Aceh, its economies experienced rapid growth. This greatly influences the distribution of traffic volume on specific road segments, including the increasingly congested Meulaboh - Tapak Tuan roads. As a result, the number of private vehicles is increasing. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the performance of roads in the area based on the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual, as well as to analyze the level of road services at present and in the future. The analysis of the road performance can be measure by several indicators such as traffic flow (Q), capacity (C), degree of saturation (DS), free flow velocity (FV), and level of service on the road section. The calculations were obtained from 3 days direct observation in the field from 07:00 to 19:00 with Monday and Thursday representing workdays and Saturday representing weekend. The highest conversion value of traffic flow in 2020 was 1357 pcu/hour for (Q), 2654 pcu/hour for the actual capacity value (C), and 0.51 for the degree of saturation (DS). The analysis results show that the degree of saturation < 0.75. According to Marga (1997), it is considered in good condition with smooth traffic flow at the service level of C. The road performance analysis for the next five years for traffic flow was 2093 pcu/hour for Q and 0.79 for the degree of saturation (DS). The service level is categorized as level D. It is necessary to find solutions and alternatives to reduce the degree of saturation (DS) value by increasing the value of capacity. Commercial buildings in the Bassura Mall area (Jalan Jenderal Basuki Rahmat) have resulted in congestion in the area. Vehicles use road bodies to park their vehicles, sidewalks that are used as trading places by street vendors, and the position of the entrance / exit of Bassura Mall for four-wheeled vehicles that is not strategic. These things have caused the author to choose a location in the Bassura Mall area (Jalan Jenderal Basuki Rahmat), East Jakarta which is a local route, where East Jakarta as one of the big cities in the Special Capital Region of Jakarta also experiences high vehicle growth, p. This can be seen on roads in East Jakarta which often experience congestion during rush hour. The purpose of this research is to determine the traffic performance in the area. The method used in this research is direct observation method at the research location and field data collection in the form of parking volume data, pedestrian volume, vehicle volume entering / exiting Mall Bassura, traffic volume, and road performance. Observations were made on weekdays and holidays. The results of the analysis of the performance of the road sections show that the traffic volume on the roads around Mall Bassura is 32,433 SMP / hour on weekdays and 22,577 SMP / hour on holidays, with the service level index being in the F category on weekdays and holidays. Thus, the congestion factors mentioned above have resulted in a decrease in road capacity which has an impact on road performance.

The proposed development of Sibu Central hinges on the fact that it attracts high number of visitors from all over Sarawak. The development of Sibu Central would definitely improve the surrounding areas in future as Sibu Central will be one of the landmarks for Sibu. This development therefore will automatically generate more road traffic which will affect the performance of the existing road. The performance of the existing road was evaluated by two signalized intersections surrounding the proposed development of Sibu Central. It was carried out in order to determine the current traffic volume data, upon the completion of Sibu Central and 5 years after the development was completed. The road performance of Intersection 1 and Intersection 2 was analysed by using Sidra software. It was found that the existing road was still within the satisfactory performance, as the Level of Service (LOS) was in the range of LOS A until LOS D. This was due to the current traffic volume that was still under the capacity of the existing road which also influenced the satisfactory result for Volume by Capacity (V/C) ratio, average delay and queue length of all directions in Intersection 1 and Intersection 2. This result will not be adequate as the capacity of the road still remains unchanged due to the fact that the traffic volume keeps on increasing every year. The deterioration of the existing road in Intersection 1 and Intersection 2 was established in this study based on the performance of LOS, V/C ratio, average delay and queue length.

The knowledge of traffic volume is an important basic input required for planning, analysis and operation of roadway systems. A significant effort has been made in order to study the Traffic Volume of Dadabari Chauraha. For better understanding of the present status of traffic flow at the junction, traffic survey is conducted. The safe and time efficient movement of the people and goods is dependent on Traffic flow, which is directly connected to the traffic characteristics. In Traffic Flow we have to consider generally three parameters, Volume, Speed, and Capacity. While as a traffic volume may be defined as the number of vehicles passing a given section of road or traffic lane per unit time will be inappropriate when several types of vehicles with widely varying static and dynamic characteristics are comprised in the traffic. Due to mixed nature of traffic it gets difficult to accommodate all the kinds of traffic on these roads. The basic problem arises during the peak hours of the day when the traffic volume is highest on the road. The interaction between moving vehicles under such heterogeneous traffic condition is highly complex. The problem of measuring volume of such kind of traffic has been addressed by converting the different types of vehicles into equivalent passenger cars and expressing the volume in terms of Passenger Car Unit (PCU) per hour. Calculation of Passenger Car Units (PCU’s) for different vehicle types had been made. For a wide range of traffic volume and roadway conditions indicate that the PCU value of a vehicle significantly changes with change in traffic volume and width of roadway. some of the remedial measures to improve the traffic safety in the region such as widening the road, changing 4-lane to 6-lane or by providing more public transport can be recommended based on the outcomes of the work.

Jalan Temanggung Tilung is a 2/2 UD type road (two undirected two-way lanes) with a road width of 5.5 meters, which is a connecting road between two major roads, namely the RTA road. Milono and the path of G. Obos. Over time, the volume of traffic through these roads increases every year, plus roadside activities that also increase cause congestion at several points of the way. To overcome this problem, the local government carried out road widening to increase the capacity and level of road services. The study was conducted to determine the amount of traffic volume, performance, service level of the Temanggung Tilung road section at peak traffic hours before and after road widening. Data retrieval is done by the direct survey to the field to obtain primary data in the form of geometric road data, two-way traffic volume data, and side obstacle data. Performance analysis refers to the 1997 Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) for urban roads. From the results of data processing, before increasing the road (Type 2/2 UD), the traffic volume that passes through the path is 842 pcs/hour and after road widening (Type 4/2 UD) the traffic volume for two directions is 973 pcs/hour, with route A equaling 528 pcs/hour and direction B equaling 445 pcs/hour. Based on the analysis of road performance before road enhancement, the capacity = 2551 pcs/hour, saturation degree = 0.331, and the service level of the two-way road are level B. Based on the analysis of the performance of the way after increasing the way, the direction capacity A = 2686 pcs/hour and direction B = 2674 pcs /hour, saturation degree for direction A = 0.196 and direction B = 0.166, service level for road direction A and direction B increase to level A

Continuous, automatic measurements of road traffic volume allow the obtaining of information on daily, weekly or seasonal fluctuations in road traffic volume. They are the basis for calculating the annual average daily traffic volume, obtaining information about the relevant traffic volume, or calculating indicators for converting traffic volume from short-term measurements to average daily traffic volume. The covid-19 pandemic has contributed to extensive social and economic anomalies worldwide. In addition to the health consequences, the impact on travel behavior on the transport network was also sudden, extensive, and unpredictable. Changes in the transport behavior resulted in different values of traffic volume on the road and street network than before. The article presents road traffic volume analysis in the city before and during the restrictions related to covid-19. Selected traffic characteristics were compared for 2019 and 2020. This analysis made it possible to characterize the daily, weekly and annual variability of traffic volume in 2019 and 2020. Moreover, the article attempts to estimate daily traffic patterns at particular stages of the pandemic. These types of patterns were also constructed for the weeks in 2019 corresponding to these stages of the pandemic. Daily traffic volume distributions in 2020 were compared with the corresponding ones in 2019. The obtained results may be useful in terms of planning operational and strategic activities in the field of traffic management in the city and management in subsequent stages of a pandemic or subsequent pandemics.
