The research aimed to evaluate the effect of biochar application and water table treatment on growth and yield of shallot plant. The research was conducted in Experimental Farm of Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University at 2019. Materials used consisted of shallot bulb of Bima Brebes variety, oil palm shells biochar, paper bag, and plastic bag. While the tools used were hoe, gauge, pH meter, basin, scale, and oven. Factorial Randomized Block Design was used with two factors and three replicates. The first factor was biochar dosages consisting of P1 (51 g/plant) and P2 (102 g/plant) and the second factor was soil water table consisting of T0 (no water table treatment), T1 (10 cm of water table below soil surface), T2 (15 cm of water table below soil surface) and T3 (30 cm of water table below soil surface). The observed parameters included plant height, leaf number, tiller number, total bulb fresh weight, bulb fresh weight, bulb dry weight and root length. Results showed that the application of biochar and water table treatment statistically affected the growth and yield of shallot plant. The effect on both growth and yield parameters were obtained from the combination of P2T3. Correlation was found between plant height and leaf number, total bulb fresh weight and bulb fresh weight.

Bawang merah merupakan salah satu komoditas hortikultura strategis yang penyebarannya hampir di seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Permasalahan pengembangan komoditas ini adalah masih rendahnya produktivitas sebagai akibat adaptasi dan kecukupan asupan hara tanaman. Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mendapatkan jenis pupuk NPK yang efektif dan efisien telah dilakukan di desa Langensari Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat dari Maret sampai Mei 2014 menggunakan Rancangan Acak kelompok (RAK) dengan 6 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Pupuk NPK yang digunakan adalah A= NPK 18+9+10+Te, B=NPK 15+15+sulfat 10, C=NPK 12+11+18z+(S) z +3 Mg+3,8S+Te, D= NPK 15+9+20(S)+2 MgO+3,8 S+Te, E= NPK 25+7+7 dan F=kontrol. Parameter yang diamati meliputi: tinggi tanaman, jumlah umbi, jumlah daun, panjang umbi (cm), diameter umbi (cm), bobot basah (g) dan bobot kering brangkasan (g). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa NPK 12+11+18z+(S)z+3 Mg+3,8S+Te menghasilkan bobot umbi terbaik. The shallot is one of the strategic and valuable horticultural commodities which is spreaded almost all over Indonesia area. Commodity development constrain by the low productivity as a result of adaptation and inadequate intake of plant nutrients. The research purposed  to get the kind of NPK fertilizers that was efective and efficient on shallot production had been done in the Langensari village Langensari Lembang district, West Bandung regency from March till May 2014, using Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 6 treatments and 3 repplications. NPK fertilizer used were: A = NPK 18+9+10+Te, B = NPK 15+15+sulfate 10, C = NPK 12+11+18z+(S) z + 3 Mg+3,8S+Te, D = NPK 15+9+20(S)+2MgO+3,8 S+Te, E = NPK 25+7+7 and F = control. The observed parameters were plant height (cm), number of tubers, leaf number, tuber length, tuber diameter, fresh weight and dry weight tuber. The results showed that NPK 12+11+18z+ (S)z+3 Mg+3,8S+Te gave the best growth and production.

This study aimed to determine the effect of different biostimulant applications (solid and liquid) on the growth and yield of mustard plants. This study used a single factor Randomized Block Design (RBD), consisting of solid or liquid biostimulant treatment, each has twelve levels, i.e. K0 = without biostimulant, K1 = NPK 1 g per plant, solid and liquid biostimulant each consisting of 10 treatments = B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6, B7, B8, B9, B10. Solid biostimulant was given at 2.5 g per plant and liquid biostimulant at 10 ml per plant. The results showed that liquid biostimulant gave a significant effect on plant height, crop fresh weight, and crop dry weight; whereas solid biostimulant gave a very significant effect on entire weight, i.e. fresh weight of mustard plant, fresh root weight, and crop dry weight. The best treatment for liquid biostimulant was B1 treatment; whereas for the solid biostimulant was B7 treatment. Keywords: biostimulant, mustard, growth, yield   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh aplikasi biostimulan yang berbeda (biostimulan padat dan cair) terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman sawi. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok faktor tunggal yang terdiri dari perlakuan Biostimulan (padat dan cair) yang masing-masing perlakuan terdapat dua belas taraf (P): K0 = tanpa biostimulan, K1 = NPK 1 g/tan, Biostimulan padat dan cair masing-masing terdiri dari 10 perlakuan = B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6, B7, B8, B9, B10. Biostimulan padat 2.5 g/tan dan biostimulan cair 10 ml/tan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa biostimulan cair memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman sawi, berat segar tanaman, dan berat kering tanaman, sedangkan biostimulan padat memberikan pengaruh yang sangat nyata terhadap semua bobot berat tanaman sawi yaitu berat segar tanaman, berat segar akar, dan berat kering tanaman. Perlakuan terbaik untuk biostimulan cair adalah perlakuan B1, sedangkan untuk biostimulan padat perlakuan yang terbaik adalah perlakuan B7. Kata kunci: biostimulan, sawi, pertumbuhan, produksi

The research was conducted in the village of Sidera, Subdistrict of Sigi Biromaru, District of Sigi, in May to June 2016. The research aims to find out the effect of various rates of cow manure on growth and yield of mustard.this research was arranged  in a randomized block design (RBD) which consist of 5 rates ofcow manure are: 10 t ha-1, 15 t ha-1, 20 t ha-1, 25 tha-1 and 30 t ha-1 , each treatment was repeated three times to obtain 15 units experiment. The results of this research showed that the application of cow manure significantly affected on growth and yield of mustard plants (plant height, number of leaves, fresh weight and dry weight of plant) and best rate of manure to mustard (Brassica juncea L.) can be achieved at the dose of 25 t ha-1.

Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of treatment of fertilization time and dosage of nitrogen to the growth and yield of peanut plants. This experiment is a two-factor experiment with incomplete randomized block design. The first factor is the time (S) of fertilizer consisting of three levels: During planting (S0), 15 days after planting (S1), 30 days after planting (S2), The second factor is the dosage of Nitrogen (N) fertilizer consisting of three levels: 25 kg/ha (N1), 50 kg/ha (N2). The results showed that treatment of fertilization time and a dose of nitrogen showed no significant effect on plant height, maximum leaf number, leaf area index, the total pod containing, total void pod, total pod number, oven dry weight of oven plants, and harvesting index. The interaction of nitrogen dose with a time of fertilization gave a very real effect to most observed variables except for maximum plant height, maximum leaf number, leaf area, harvest index that is not significant. The high dry weight of seed oven per plant was obtained at the fertilizer interaction treatment at 15 days after planting and the dose of nitrogen 25 kg/ha was 30.33 g and or increased by 152.75% and when compared with the control of 12.00 g. From a result of regression analysis got an optimum dose of nitrogen fertilizer that is 34.15 kg/ha with the dry weight of oven seeds per plant maximum 26.73 g. This study aims to determine the effect of NPK Mutiara fertilizer dose on the growth and yield of green beans and determine the optimum dosage of NPK Mutiara fertilizer that can deliver growth and yield optimal green beans. The design used in this study is a randomized block design with treatments used were N0 (without fertilizer NPK NPK 0 kg ha-1 or 0 g plot-1), N1 (NPK fertilizer 125 kg ha-1 or 25 g plot-1), N2 (NPK fertilizer 250 kg ha-1 or 50 g plot-1), N3 (NPK fertilizer 375 kg ha-1 or 75 g), N4 (NPK 500 kg ha-1 or 100 g plot-1). Variable observation in this study was plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, number of pods tan-1 fresh weight stover tan-1, the dry weight of stover tan-1, the dry weight of stover ha-1 dry weight of seed tan-1, heavy ha-1 dry beans, dry weight of 100 seeds. The results showed that treatment of NPK fertilizer dose of 500 kg ha-1 very significant effect on plant height of 27.75 cm, leaf number 8 strands, leaf area 357.78 cm2, Total pods 19.65, fresh weight stover tan-1 96, 25 g, dry weight of stover tan-1 76.00 g, stover dry weight ha-1 19.00 tons, dry weight of seed tan-1 5.36-gram dry weight seed ha-1 1.34 tonnes, the weight of 100 seeds 2.62 gr.

Dioscorea is potentially used as staple food to support food security. The research was aimed to determine the effect of stake length and time of  stem twining  on  the growth of Dioscorea sansibarensis Pax. The experiment was conducted  in  Purwodadi Botanic Garden from December 2014 until May 2015 using split plot randomized block design consisted of two factors, i.e. the stake length and time of stem twining. The stake length was the main plot consisted of 150 cm, 100 cm and 50 cm above soil surface and without stake (control). The time of stem twining as subplots, i.e. stem twined early, twined at the time of 4 leaves stage, and twined at 8 leaves stage. Each combination of the treatments was replicated three times. The results showed that there was significant effect on the stake length  and the time of stem twining treatments on the plant growth and yield. The stake  length of 150 cm treatment produced the highest fresh tuber and total plant dry weight, i.e., 257.24 g and 132.77 g per plant, respectively. On the contrary, the plant without stake produced the lowest fresh tuber and  total dry weight of plant, i.e., 112.10 g and 48.65 g per plant, respectively.<br /><br />Keywords: biomass,leaf area, photosyntesis, tuber weight

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk  mengetahui  durasi perendaman bibit   dengan auxin alami dan dosis pupuk NPK yang tepat  pada pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L). Dalam budidaya bawang merah sering dijumpai pertumbuhan benih yang lambat disebabkan karena faktor dalam bibit (endogenous factor) yang merugikan karena akan berdampak pada serangan penyakit busuk umbi. Maka mempercepat munculnya tunas dengan perlakuan pemberian auxin dan pemberian pupuk NPK ini diharapkan akan diperoleh bibit yang segera tumbuh supaya dapat berproduksi dalam keadaan sehat. Pada penelitian ini akan dikaji bagaimana mempercepat pertumbuhan bibit bawang merah dengan perendaman cepat dalam auxin alami yang diinteraksikan dengan pemberian pupuk NPK. Penelitian disusun dalam  RAK  faktorial dengan 2 faktor sebanyak 3 x ulangan. Faktor 1 adalah perlakuan lama perendaman bibit bawang merah (D), yang terdiri dari D0 = tanpa perendaman , D1= perendaman 0,5 jam, D2 = perendaman 1 jam, D3= perendaman 1,5 jam, D4 = perendaman 2 jam. Sedangkan faktor kedua  adalah pemberian pupuk NPK, P1= 100 kg/ha, P2= 200 kg/ha, P3= 300 kg/ha.  Variabel yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah batang/rumpun, bobot segar bawang merah/rumpun, jumlah umbi bawang merah/rumpun. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan Anova dan uji DMRT 5%.  Hasil Penelitian didapatkan  bahwa ada pengaruh interaksi nyata antara perlakuan D (lama perendaman) dan P (dosis pupuk NPK) pada variabel tinggi tanaman, jumlah batang/rumpun, bobot segar bawang merah/rumpun dan jumlah umbi/rumpun.  Perlakuan terbaik adalah D4P3 yaitu perendaman bibit bawang merah selama 2 jam dengan pemupukan NPK anorganik 300 kg/ha.  ABSTRACTThe aims of the study was to  determine  the duration of bulb dipping with  natural auxin on the growth and yield of shallot (Allium ascalonicum L). In shallot cultivation, it is found that the slow growth of bulb is caused by the factors in the bulbs (endogenous factors) because it will impact on bulb rot disease. Then accelerating the emergence of shoots with the treatment of auxin and NPK fertilizer, it is hoped that the bulbs will grow well so that they will be harvested in a healthy condition. In this research, we will study how to accelerate the growth of shallot bulbs with rapid immersion in natural auxin which is interacted with NPK fertilizer. The research was  arranged  in a factorial randomized block design with 2 factors and repeated 3 times, where the first factor was the treatment was the length of dipping the shallot seeds. (D). consisting of D0 = without dipping, D1 = dipping 0.5 hours, D2 = dipping 1 hour, D3 = dipping 1.5 hours, D4 = dipping 2 hours. While the second factor is the provision of  . NPK . fertilizer, P1 = 100 kg / ha, P2 = 200 kg / ha, P3 = 300 kg.ha. The variables observed were plant   height, number of clumps / plant, fresh weight of shallots / plant, number of shallot bulbs / plant. Observation data  were  analyzed by ANOVA and 5% DMRT test. The results showed that there was a significant   interaction effect between D and P treatment on the variable plant height, number of clumps/plant, fresh weight of shallots / plants and number of tubers / plants. The best treatment is D4P3, which is soaking shallot seeds for 2 hours with 300 kg / ha of inorganic NPK fertilization.

Growing vegetable crops such as lettuce, on Ultisol soil has several obstacles, such as insufficient organic matter and nutrients in the soil. The provision of biochar and POC leri or organic fertilizer from rice washing liquid is expected to be a long-term and sustainable solution. This study was intended to test the addition of biochar to the growing media and the application of leri on lettuce cultivation. This study used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) method. The first factor was the application of biochar to the planting medium (M), which consisted of M1: Ultisol without biochar and M2: Ultisol + 30 g biochar. The second factor was the administration of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) leri (P), with 5 treatments consisting of P0: without giving LOF leri, P1: giving LOF leri without fermentation once a week, P2: giving LOF leri without fermentation twice a week, P3: giving fermented LOF leri once a week, P4: giving fermented LOF leri twice a week. The results of this study were tested statistically by analysis of variance, with the F test; if there was a significant difference, it was continued with the BNJ test (Honest Significant Difference) at a 0.05 level. The results showed that the best treatment of LOF leri in increasing lettuce growth and yield was 25% fermented LOF leri given 2 times a week, at 250 mL per lettuce plant. As a single treatment the best growing media was M2 (Ultisol soil + 30 g of biochar) with a plant height of 25.80 cm and the leaf number of 12.83; whereas the best LOF leri treatment was P4 (fermented LOF leri given twice a week), with a plant height of 30.27 cm and leaf number of 14.42. Based on whole plant fresh weight, the best treatment was the M2P4 (Ultisol + biochar growing medium and fermented LOF leri given week), which was 185.99 g per plant. Pemberian biochar dan POC leri atau pupuk organik dari cairan cucian beras diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi yang bersifat jangka panjang dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menguji penambahan biochar pada media tanam dan pemberian leri pada budidaya selada. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial. Faktor pertama adalah pemberian biochar pada media tanam (M), yang terdiri dari M1: Ultisol tanpa biochar dan M2: Ultisol + 30 g biochar. Faktor kedua adalah pemberian pupuk organic cair (POC) leri (P), dengan sebanyak 5 perlakuan yang terdiri dari adalah P0: tanpa pemberian POC leri, P1: pemberian POC leri tanpa fermentasi 1 kali seminggu, P2: pemberian POC leri tanpa fermentasi 2 kali seminggu, P3: pemberian POC leri fermentasi 1 kali seminggu, P4: pemberian POC leri fermentasi 2 kali seminggu. Hasil penelitian ini diuji secara statistik dengan analisis ragam, dengan uji F; bila terdapat perbedaan nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji BNJ (Beda Nyata Jujur) pada taraf 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan POC leri yang terbaik dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi selada adalah 25% POC leri fermentasi yang diberikan 2 kali seminggu, sebanyak 250 mL per tanaman selada. Secara tunggal perlakuan media tanam terbaik adalah M2 (tanah Ultisol+ 30 g biochar) dengan tinggi tanaman 25,80 cm dan jumlah daun 12, 83 helai; sedangkan perlakuan POC leri terbaik adalah P4 (POC leri fermentasi yang diberikan 2 kali seminggu), dengan tinggi tanaman 30,27 cm dan jumlah daun 14,42 helai. Berdasarkan berat basah tanaman, yang terbaik adalah pada perlakuan M2P4 (media tanam Ultisol + biochar dan POC leri fermentasi yang diberikan 2 kali seminggu), yaitu 185,99 g per tanaman. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of paclobutrazol and KOH application through leaf togrowth and production of cassava.  This study was conducted from March 2017 to October 2018 in an Integrated Field Universityof Lampung. The treatmens was arranged factorially (4 x 4) in a complete randomized block design with 4 replications be avowed as group.  The main factor were paclobutrazol consist of P1 = 0 ppm (control, no treatment), P2 = 400 ppm, P3 = 500 ppm and P4 = 600 ppm.  The second factor were KOH consist of K1 = 0% (control, no treatment), K2 =0,5%, K3 = 1% and K4 = 1,5 given a week after paclobutrazol’s application.  This study used cassava cutting varieties of kasesart.  Observation variables were plant height, number of books, number of fresh leaves, fresh weight of leaves, dry weight of leaves, fresh weight of stem, dry weight of stem, fresh weight of tubers, dry weight of tubers.  Data of each treatments were calculated its mean value and tested homogeneity.  Homogeneous data were analyzed variance and followed by the smallest real difference testat level 5%.The study’s result showed that paclobutrazol application had inhibited effect the vegetative growth of plant height, number of nodes, fresh and dry weight of stem cassava plants.  Application of KOH had a significant effect only on number of fresh leave at 13 week after planted.  The interaction of paclobutrazol and KOH treatment had a significant effect on leaf dry weight.

Shallot plant is often used as a flavor enhancer and appetite enhancer food. Research on shallotcrop has been done. Application of seaweedsgive a different effect on increasing the productivity and growth of shallots. This study aims to determine the effect of applying different types of seaweed on growth and yield of shallot variety Lembah Palu. This research was conducted at the Green House of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Tadulako from March to May 2016. The study conducted using a randomized block design (RBD).  The treatments: B0 = control, B1 = NPK 0.2 g / pot, B2 = (Cauelerpa sp) 100 ml/pot, B3 = (Sargassum sp) 100 ml/pot, B4 = (Eucheuma cottonii) 100 ml /pot, B5 = Sea lettuce (Ulva sp) 100 ml/pot. there are six treatments, each treatment was replicated four times, so there are 24 experimental units. The results indicatedthat the application of various types of seaweed significant effect on plant height, fresh weight of the plants, the fresh weight of tuber and diameter of the bulb.
