Today's communication is very important to do, this can be done by using communication tools that are currently being used by everyone, none other than SmartPhone, so people are competing to get it. Many found difficulties in choosing a SmartPhone Brand Product that suits the wishes of each user from a number of alternatives such as Advance, Xiaomi, OPPO, SAMSUNG, and VIVO, because many criteria must be considered such as memory capacity, battery durability, sharpness of capture camera, the form of design producy, the number of features produced from the product, which is equally important is the overall performance of the product. This difficulty is a general matter discussed by each user, because it requires the best solution that can be used to solve the problem. One method that can be used to select the right SmartPhone is the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method combined with the TOPSIS method. In this case AHP is used to determine the preference quantity in weighting and TOPSIS is used for mathematical detailed calculations of a number of criteria specified in ranking from a number of alternatives. The results obtained based on the mathematical calculation process are the first rank brand products with the highest weight of 0.597 from SAMSUNG, followed by a weight of 0.586 from OPPO, then weighing 0.555 from Advance, then weighing 0.511 from VIVO, and the smallest weight 0.491 from Xiaomi.

Abstract Choosing the right structural model for projects in various fields has become an important subject of research, and adopting a suitable model has been recognized as crucial to a project's success. For public–private partnership (PPP) programs involving ecological compensation in the Chishui Watershed, implementers are required to give extensive considerations to balancing economic, societal, and ecological impacts and benefits, connected to numerous stakeholders. Any program model choice is made difficult by various influencing factors introduced by these stakeholders. This paper examines models of PPP eco-compensation programs in the Chishui Watershed, a region that faces an acute conflict between protection and growth, and is in urgent need of eco-compensation mechanisms. For this purpose, we have developed an indicator system with three hierarchical levels containing, respectively, two, five, and 18 indicator items. A list of feasible PPP models are chosen based on existing programs in the region. Analytic hierarchy process (AHP)/fuzzy analysis is used to establish an integrated decision-making framework. The suitability of the models in each field can then be ranked by their integrated decision score. The differences between models are also analyzed to find the main limiting indicators on PPP programs.

With the development of the economy and society, more and more enterprises outsource the procuring of services or products from an outside supplier or manufacturer in order to cut costs. To realize outsourcing, the outsourcing needer must choose the supplier carefully, so the method that how to choose the right supplier to realize the outsourcing is particularly important. Lots of factors should be taken into account, but the common factors are cost, quality, additional resources, prior works and contract terms. With the qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis method of analytic hierarchy process, put forward the model of the outsourcing. The model includes three aspects: objective layer, criterion layer and alternative layer. The objective layer is the aim of select supplier; the criterion layer is the factors which affect the choice and the alternative layer is the different selectable enterprise. After calculating the synthetic level value to order in single level and whole system and though the consistency check, eventually got the different weights of different alternations, it can provides direct basis for the decision-making, that is, the enterprise which has the biggest weight of the choice should be placed ahead of the others.

Abstract : Supplier selection is a chain in supply chain management. Supplier selection is one of the most important things in purchasing activity for the company. Companies should be selective in choosing suppliers because the right supplier selection will support the output of the company. This research was   conducted   at   oil   palm  agribusiness   company  which   will   develop cooperative relationship with NPK fertilizer supplier. The purpose of this study is to select the best NPK fertilizer suppliers that meet the company's criteria. The criteria specified in choosing NPK fertilizer suppliers are cost, quality, delivery  and  service.  While  the  suppliers  who  have  worked  with  PT  ABC Batam are suppliers X, supplier Y and supplier Z. This research uses AHP method assisted with expert choice v.11 software. From the assessment of the importance of criteria in the selection of suppliers, cost criteria get the highest weight of 0.452, then followed by the quality criteria with weight 0.234, service criteria with weight 0.163 and delivery criteria with weight 0.151. For supplier score starting from supplier X get highest weight 0.528, supplier Y with weight0.325 and supplier Z with weight 0.148

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to present a framework to assist the selection of certification bodies in the implementation of quality management system (QMS) based on ISO 9001 taking into account a set of criteria organized in a multi-level hierarchical form. To deal with this complexity, the multi-criteria decision-making method (MCDM) analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was used in this research. Design/methodology/approach The research was conducted in small and medium-sized companies certified to ISO 9001. The MCDM method AHP was used as a method for developing the model to support the selection of certification bodies. Findings This paper provides a framework for companies seeking to hire certification bodies, mainly for ISO 9001 certification, which help identify the companies that best fit the certification objectives. Additionally, a ranking of the main criteria to select certification bodies for ISO 9001 was obtained. Research limitations/implications The decision-making method was applied to Brazilian companies from different sectors. As the results can vary between regions and sectors, this is a limitation of the research. In addition, the number of ten respondents could be higher to increase the robustness of the results. Practical implications The model assists companies looking for certification, mainly ISO 9001, in the selection of certification bodies contributing in the search for deeper implementations of QMS. Originality/value This work has the originality of the application of a decision-making method in the final process of ISO 9001 certification, scarce in the literature. In addition, it defines weights for the criteria involved in the process of selecting certification bodies.

The process of distributing goods is precisely determined from the transportation service provider used. The transportation used will affect a supply chain can be fulfilled properly or not. The decision to choose the right vendor is based on the selection of criteria from each service provider that suits the needs of the company itself. The selection of the wrong criteria will have an impact on the services provided to customers, one of which is the delay factor. Delays that occur are dominated by shipping by land. Analysis of the selection of the right vendor is done by applying the AHP and TOPSIS methods. The criteria used consist of price, quality, delivery, flexibility and reliability. Application of AHP and TOPSIS methods will provide an assessment of each of these vendors so they can determine the best vendor. The selection of the best vendor starts from determining the weight of each predetermined criterion. Each criterion will be correlated with each other which will then be weighted by each criterion. The results of determining the best vendor are obtained with the highest weight value of 0.807 obtained by Japung using the TOPSIS method.

Decision problems are usually complex and involve evaluation of several conflicting criteria (parameters). Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) is a promising field that considers the parallel influence of all criteria and aims at helping decision makers in expressing their preferences, over a set of predefined alternatives, on the basis of criteria (parameters) that are contradictory in nature. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a useful and widespread MCDM tool for solving such type of problems, as it allows the incorporation of conflicting objectives and decision makers preferences in the decision making. The AHP utilizes the concept of pair wise comparison to find the order of criteria (parameters) and alternatives. The comparison in a pairwise manner becomes quite tedious and complex for problems having eight alternatives or more, thereby, limiting the application of AHP. This paper presents a soft hierarchical process approach based on soft set decision making which eliminates the least promising candidate alternatives and selects the optimum(potential) ones that results in the significant reduction in the number of pairwise comparisons necessary for the selection of the best alternative using AHP, giving the approach a more realistic view. A supplier selection problem is used to illustrate the proposed approach.

Software defined network (SDN) controller selection in SDN is a key challenge to the network administrator. In SDN, control plane is an isolated process and operate on control layer. The controller provides a universal view of the entire network and support applications and services. The three focused parameters for controller selection are productivity, campus network and open source. In SDN, it is vital to have a good device for the efficient processing of all requests made by the switch and for good behavior of the network. For selecting best controller for the specified parameters, decision logic has to be developed that allow us to do comparison of the available controllers. Therefore, in this research we have suggested a methodology that uses analytic-hierarchy-process (AHP) to find a best controller. The approach has been studied and verified for a big organization network setup of Al-Majmaah University, Saudi Arabia. The approach is found to be more effective and increase the network performance significantly.
