The characteristics of the paranasal sinuses (maxillary, frontal, sphenoid and ethmoid sinuses) are information of great relevance to Forensic Sciences, as their images can be used for human identification purposes. Due to their particularities, the paranasal sinuses provide valuable information for human identification, reducing the risk of errors during investigation by experts. Such structures are visualized from several imaging exams. This study evaluates the possibilities of human identification through the analysis of the paranasal sinuses, as well as the effectiveness of their analysis in estimating sex, age and ancestry. A comprehensive search was performed in the PubMed, SciELO, LILACS, and Web of Science databases. As inclusion criteria, texts that addressed the subject were selected. Imaging analysis of the frontal, maxillary and sphenoid sinuses is a useful tool for human identification, as well as for estimating sex, age and ancestry; usually provides a high level of accuracy. Regarding the ethmoid sinus, research is indicated to verify its use in human identification, as no publications on this specific subject were found. Additional research must be carried out (especially three-dimensional analysis of the paranasal sinuses), to develop standardized protocols, improving the work of experts, helping justice and society.

The term knowledge discovery in databases or KDD, for short, was coined in 1989 to refer to the broad process of finding knowledge in data, and to emphasize the “high-level” application of particular data mining (DM) methods. The DM phase concerns, mainly, the means by which the patterns are extracted and enumerated from data. Nowadays, the two terms are, usually, indistinctly used. Efforts are being developed in order to create standards and rules in the field of DM with great relevance being given to the subject of inductive databases. Within the context of inductive databases, a great relevance is given to the so-called DM languages. This chapter explores DM in KDD.

Two-dimensional imaging records, as conventional radiographies, are part of the orthodontic clinic routine; frontal sinus images are often present in these exams. The characteristics of the frontal sinus are information of great relevance for the Forensic Sciences, as their images may be used for human identification purposes. With the advent of new three-dimensional technologies and computerized image examinations such as Computed Tomography (CT), three-dimensional analysis of the frontal sinuses has become possible. This article evaluates the possibilities of human identification using frontal sinuses 2D and 3D images and the role of orthodontists in this context. Pubmed, SciELO, LILACS and Web of Science were used as databases. As inclusion criteria, were selected texts concerning the studied issue. Although the analysis of frontal sinuses is traditionally carried out using two-dimensional images, there is a growing trend of studies employing CT scans. Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is an important diagnosis tool, more frequently used in orthodontics, which allows a three-dimensional approach and great precision in measurements. Together with two-dimensional analysis of frontal sinuses, 3D images are of great value for human identification. Although three-dimensional analysis is not yet a routine, its Forensic use is undoubtedly an excellent tool provided by new technologies. It is important that the orthodontist knows this possibility by properly keeping the patients’ imaging exams.

Aim of the study is to examine the values of the three dimensional perception and collect information about that. Starting point is the observation of differences in two and three dimensional perception abilities of individuals having education in visual arts. It has been observed that some students, who have high level of competency in two dimensional perception, do not have the same competency in three dimensional perception. This is considered important since it creates two and three dimensional perceptions and differences of expression between them. We tried to emphasize the importance of the subject particularly in terms of visual arts education in the current visual age. The study is a document review. In this study we addressed the characteristics of the age we are living in, perception, visual perception, and two and three dimensional perception. We summarized the differences in visual perception and included three dimensional comprehension. By examining the related literature, we came to the conclusion that the two and three dimensional perception processes and their requirements are different.   Keywords: sculpture, three dimensional perceptions, visual perception, visual age.

The background of this study was the low student learning outcomes of PPKn, from 28 students who achievedthe completeness criteria at least only 11 students (39.29%). The low student learning outcomes are caused bythe high level of individuality between students so that the achievement of competence among studentsexperiences a very distant difference. Based on this, the researchers made improvements to student learningoutcomes through the application of STAD cooperative learning models. This research is a classroom actionresearch, with the subject of class VII of SMP Negeri 3 Teluk Kuantan. The data used in this study is PPKnlearning outcomes data. The results stated that after applying the STAD type cooperative learning model studentlearning outcomes had increased in the initial data the number of students who completed were 11 students, incycle I had an increase with the number of 18 students, and in cycle II the number of students who completedcontinued to increase by the number 22 student.

Dental surgeons need in-depth knowledge of the bone tissue status and gingival morphology of atrophic maxillae. The aim of this study is to describe preoperative virtual planning of placement of five implants and to compare the plan with the actual surgical results. Three-dimensional planning of rehabilitation using software programs enables surgical guides to be specially designed for the implant site and manufactured using 3D printing. A patient with five teeth missing was selected for this study. The patient’s maxillary region was scanned with CBCT and a cast model was produced. After virtual planning using ImplantViewer, five implants were placed using a printed surgical guide. Two weeks after the surgical procedure, the patient underwent another CBCT scan of the maxilla. Statistically significant differences were detected between the virtually planned positions and the actual positions of the implants, with a mean deviation of 0.36 mm in the cervical region and 0.7 mm in the apical region. The surgical technique used enables more accurate procedures when compared to the conventional technique. Implants can be better positioned, with a high level of predictability, reducing both operating time and patient discomfort.

Climate change and its impact on water resources is the problem of the times. Therefore, this study is concerned with the subject of climate change and its impact on the water ration of the grape harvest in Diyala Governorate. The study was based on the data of the Khanaqin climate station for the period 1973-2017, (1986-2017) due to lack of data at governorate level. The general trend of the elements of the climate and its effect on the water formula was extracted. The equation of change was extracted for the duration of the study. The statistical analysis was also used between the elements of the climate (actual brightness, normal temperature, micro and maximum degrees Celsius, wind speed m / s, relative humidity% The results of the statistical analysis confirm that the water ration for the study area is based mainly on the X7 evaporation / netting variable, which is affected by a set of independent variables X1 Solar Brightness X4 X5 Extreme Temperature Wind Speed ​​3X Minimal Temperature and Very High Level .

The author analyzes definitions of the concepts of determinants of crime given by various scientists and offers her definition. In this study, determinants of crime are understood as a set of its causes, the circumstances that contribute committing them, as well as the dynamics of crime. It is noted that the Russian legislator in Article 244 of the Criminal Code defines the object of this criminal assault as public morality. Despite the use of evaluative concepts both in the disposition of this norm and in determining the specific object of a given crime, the position of criminologists is unequivocal: crimes of this kind are immoral and are in irreconcilable conflict with generally accepted moral and legal norms. In the paper, some views are considered with regard to making value judgments which could hardly apply to legal norms. According to the author, the reasons for abuse of the bodies of the dead include economic problems of the subject of a crime, a low level of culture and legal awareness; this list is not exhaustive. The main circumstances that contribute committing abuse of the bodies of the dead and their burial places are the following: low income and unemployment, low level of criminological prevention, poor maintenance and protection of medical institutions and cemeteries due to underperformance of state and municipal bodies. The list of circumstances is also open-ended. Due to some factors, including a high level of latency, it is not possible to reflect the dynamics of such crimes objectively. At the same time, identification of the determinants of abuse of the bodies of the dead will reduce the number of such crimes.

The article analyzes the philosophical and cultural view of “doctor’s professional culture” as a result of centuries-old practice of human relations, which is characterized by constancy and passed from generation to generation. Medicine is a complex system in which an important role is played by: philosophical outlook of a doctor, philosophical culture, ecological culture, moral culture, aesthetic culture, artistic culture. We have found that within the system “doctor-patient” the degree of cultural proximity becomes a factor that influences the health or life of a patient. Thus, the following factors are important here: 1) communication that suppresses a sick person; 2) the balance of cultural and intellectual levels; 3) the cultural environment of a patient which has much more powerful impact on a patient than the medical one.At the present stage, the interdependence of professional and humanitarian training of future specialists is predominant, as a highly skilled specialist can not but become a subject of philosophizing. We outlined the sphere where the doctors present a genre variety of philosophizing (philosophical novels, apologies, dialogues, diaries, aphorisms, confessions, essays, etc.). This tradition represents the original variations in the formation of future doctor’s communicative competences, which are formed in the process of medical students’ professional training.A survey conducted among medical students made it possible to establish their professional values, which are indicators of the formation of philosophical and culturological competence. It was found out that 92% of respondents believed that a doctor should demonstrate a high level of health culture (avoid drinking and smoking habits, etc.)99% of respondents favoured a high level of personal qualities of a doctor which would allow methods and forms of medical practice to assert higher human ideals of truth, goodness and beauty that are the subject area of cultural studies and philosophy.

Drawings, illustrations, and field sketches play an important role in Earth Science since they are used to record field observations, develop interpretations, and communicate results in reports and scientific publications. Drawing geology in the field furthermore facilitates observation and maximizes the value of fieldwork. Every geologist, whether a student, academic, professional, or amateur enthusiast, will benefit from the ability to draw geological features accurately. This book describes how and what to draw in geology. Essential drawing techniques, together with practical advice in creating high quality diagrams, are described the opening chapters. How to draw different types of geology, including faults, folds, metamorphic rocks, sedimentary rocks, igneous rocks, and fossils, are the subjects of separate chapters, and include descriptions of what are the important features to draw and describe. Different types of sketch, such as drawings of three-dimensional outcrops, landscapes, thin-sections, and hand-specimens of rocks, crystals, and minerals, are discussed. The methods used to create technical diagrams such as geological maps and cross-sections are also covered. Finally, modern techniques in the acquisition and recording of field data, including photogrammetry and aerial surveys, and digital methods of illustration, are the subject of the final chapter of the book. Throughout, worked examples of field sketches and illustrations are provided as well as descriptions of the common mistakes to be avoided.
