The purpose of this research is to determine the concentration of young coconut water that is appropriate for the growth of orchid plantlets (Dendrobium sp.) In vitro. This study used an experimental method, descriptive data analysis to compare several different concentrations of coconut water. The design of this study uses a completely randomized design (CRD). The treatments consist of 0% coconut water concentration (as a control), 15%, 30% and 60%. Each concentration was carried out 5 replications and each repetition consisted of 5 Dendrobium sp plantlets in each culture bottle conducted for 40 HST, for observing the root length carried out for 50 HST. The highest number of shoots and leaves were produced at the same concentration, namely 150 ml / L coconut water treatment (15% concentration) with an average of 2.8 shoots and the average number of leaves 10.8 leaves. The average number of roots and the longest root length was produced at a concentration of 600 ml / L coconut water (60% concentration) with an average of 6 roots, and the longest root length was 0.5 cm.Keywords: Young coconut water, (Cocos nucifera L.), Dendrobium sp., in vitro, growth.ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini ialah menentukan konsentrasi air kelapa muda yang tepat untuk pertumbuhan planlet anggrek (Dendrobium sp.) secara in vitro. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen, analisis data secara deskriptif untuk membandingan beberapa konsentrasi air kelapa yang berbeda. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Perlakukan terdiri dari konsentrasi air kelapa 0 % (sebagai kontrol), 15% , 30% dan 60%. Masing-masing konsentrasi dilakukan 5 kali ulangan dan setiap ulangan terdiri dari 5 planlet Dendrobium sp dalam setiap botol kultur yang dilakukan selama 40 HST, untuk pengamatan panjang akar dilakukan selama 50 HST. Jumlah tunas dan jumlah daun terbanyak dihasilkan pada konsentrasi yang sama, yaitu perlakuan air kelapa 150 ml/L (konsentrasi 15%)  dengan rata-rata jumlah tunas terbanyak 2,8 tunas dan rata-rata jumlah daun terbanyak 10,8 helai daun. Rata-rata jumlah akar terbanyak dan panjang akar terpanjang dihasilkan pada konsentrasi air kelapa 600 ml/L (Konsentrasi 60%) dengan rata-rata jumlah akar terbanyak sebanyak 6 akar, dan rata-rata panjang akar terpanjang 0,5 cm.Kata kunci : Air kelapa Muda (Cocos nucifera L.), Dendrobium sp., in vitro, pertumbuhan

Phalaenopsis sp is one of the types of orchids native to Indonesia with high commercial value, but these orchids are quite difficult to cultivate because the seeds are microscopic and do not have endosperm that need to be cultivated in vitro. In vitro orchid cultivation requires a suitable supporting medium. This study aims to determine the effect of coconut water (Cocos nucifera L) using VW medium on the growth of Phalaenopsis sp protocorm orchid in vitro. Research has been carried out at the DD Orchid Nursery Network Culture Laboratory Dadaprejo Junrejo, Batu, East Java, starting from November to January 2020. This study uses a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) to compare different concentrations of coconut water (Cocos nucifera L) as ie, 0%, 15%, 30%, and 60% treatment. Each concentration was repeated 5 times and each repetition consisted of 5 bottles of Phalaenopsis sp. Protocorm and cultured for 4 weeks. The results showed that the highest number of protochromes and shoots were produced at the same concentration, namely 150 ml / L coconut water treatment (15% concentration) with an average number of 64 protocorms and 14 shoots. Keywords: Coconut water (Cocos nucifera L), Phalaenopsis sp., In vitro, growthABSTRAKPhalaenopsis sp merupakan salah satu jenis anggrek asli Indonesia dengan nilai komersial yang tinggi, tetapi anggrek ini cukup sulit dibudidayakan karena bijinya bersifat mikroskopis dan tidak memiliki endosperm sehingga perlu dibudidayakan secara in vitro. Budidaya anggrek secara in vitro memerlukan medium pendukung yang sesuai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh air kelapa (Cocos nucifera L)  menggunakan medium VW terhadap pertumbuhan protocorm anggrek Phalaenopsis sp secara in vitro. Telah dilakukan penelitian di Laboratorium Kultur Jaringan DD Orchid Nursery Dadaprejo Junrejo Kabupaten Batu Jawa Timur, dimulai dari bulan November sampai dengan bulan Januari 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) untuk membandingkan beberapa konsentrasi air kelapa (Cocos nucifera L) yang berbeda  sebagai perlakuan yaitu, 0 %, 15%, 30%, dan 60 %. Masing-masing konsentrasi dilakukan 5 kali pengulangan dan setiap pengulangan terdiri dari 5 botol protocorm Phalaenopsis sp  dan dikultur selama 4 minggu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah protokrom dan tunas terbanyak dihasilkan pada konsentrasi yang sama, yaitu perlakuan air kelapa 150 ml/L (konsentrasi 15%) dengan rata-rata jumlah  64 protocorm dan 14 tunas.Kata kunci : Air kelapa (Cocos nucifera L), Phalaenopsis sp., in vitro, pertumbuhan.

Dendrobium anosmum is one of natural orchids in Indonesia. Optimization of medium composition for orchid propagation through in vitro culture is necessary to enhance propagule multiplication capabilities and quality. This study was aimed to study the influence of concentration of coconut water in culture medium on in vitro growth and development of D. anosmum orchid species and to determine the optimal coconut water concentration in culture media.  The experiment were arranged in a Completely Randomized Design with four treatments and eight replications. The treatments consisted of the addition of coconut water with concentrations: 0 ml•l -1 (control), 50 ml•l-1, 100 ml•l-1 and 150 ml•l-1. The results showed that addition of coconut water in culture medium gave different effect on shoot growth and multiplication of D. anosmum orchids.  Coconut water concentration of 100 ml•l-1 was the best concentration for growth and multiplication of D. anosmum orchids, based on both shoots and roots growth, plantlet height and wet weight.

This study aims to 1) to see the effect of natural phytohormones in onions and coconut water on the growth of sugarcane, 2) To see the effect of giving natural phytohormones to sugarcane plants which produce the best growth, 3) To see the results of research on the growth of sugarcane can be used biology learning resources. This type of research is an experimental study using a completely randomized design (CRD). This study consisted of 4 treatments, namely, the first treatment was giving sand and red soil, the second treatment was giving manure and 15% concentration of onion solution phytohormones, the third treatment was giving manure and phytohormones with 25% concentration of coconut water solution, the fourth treatment was Pembrian. Manure and phytohormone combined with 15% concentration of onion solution + phytohormone with 25% concentration of coconut water solution. The parameters observed in this study were height in units (cm), number of leaves (counting manually), stem diameter in units (cm). To determine the effect of phytohormone solutions on shallots and coconut water, data analysis was carried out using the one-way ANOVA test. and further tests to find out the most optimum treatment for the growth of sugarcane using the BNJ test. Based on the research, there was a significant effect of giving natural phytohormones on the growth of sugarcane, with the best treatment, namely the third treatment of giving manure and phytohormones of coconut water solution. The results of this research can be used as a source of learning biology in the form of videos with material on the growth and development of class XII. Kata kunci: larutan bawang merah (allium cepa L), air  kelapa (cocos nucifera L), fitohormon, tanamantebu.

Chryssanthenum is ornamental plant with variety of shape and color which are unique and appealing. So that, it is in great demand in the community. The production of Chrissanthenum conventionally hampered by availability and quality of seeds. Thus, it needs research through tissue culture. The aim of this research is to know interaction between coconut water and thiamine and to determine the best coconut water and thiamine concentration toward Chryssanthenum micro cuttings. This research used laboratory experimental method by using completely randomized design with two factor. The 1st factor was coconut water concentration consisted of three level which were 5%, 10% and 15%. The 2nd factor was thiamine concentration consisted of three level which were 1mg/L, 2 mg/L and 3 mg/L. From the two factors, those were found that, there were nine combination of treatments and repeated 3 times. The variety  of data was analyzed by using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) with level of α=5%, and continued by examining Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) with level of α=5%. The result indicated that the interaction of coconut water concentration was 5% and thiamine was 1 mg/L on the parameters when growing shoot. There was also interaction on coconut water concentration which was 10 % and thiamine was 1 mg/L on the parameters in the number of shoots. interaction of coconut water combination was 15% and thiamine was 2 mg/L on  fresh weight. The addition of 10% coconut water and 1 mg/L thiamine showed the best result on shoot length.

Tribulus (Tribulus terrestrisL.) is a medicinal plant with considerable implementation such as aphrodisiac and anti‑inflammation drugs. This research was conducted to study the effectivity of coconut water and IAA (Indole‑3‑acetic acid) application on various concentration as the growth regulator for tribulus growth on thein vitroand its effect toward observation variables. The material used were cotyledon from tribulus embryo and MS (Murashige and Skoog) medium. The research method used a Completely Randomized Design with first factor of coconut water concentration of 0 mL L-1, 50 mL L-1, 100 mL L-1, and 150 mL L-1and IAA concentration of 0 ppm, 0.15 ppm, 0.20 ppm, and 0.25 ppm as the second factor. Observed variables were shoots emergence time, number of shoots, shoot height, number of leaves, roots emergence time, number of roots and regression between observation variables. The result showed that the combination of 150 mL L-1coconut water and 0.25 ppm IAA gave the highest shoot height, roots emergence time, and number of roots. Coconut water treatment on 150 mL L-1concentration alone gave the best result on shoots emergence time, number of shoots, and number of leaves, while IAA concentration of 0.25 ppm independently gave the highest number of leaves. Regression analysis result indicate that the number of roots has a positive correlation with shoots height, number of shoots and number of leaves.

The research has been conducted to find out the best concentration of coconut water in the induction of roots of cuttings axillary buds Andrographis paniculata Nees. This research was conducted in Plant Physilogy of Division,   Department of Biology, Faculty of Math and Natural Science, AndalasUniversity, for 12 weeks.  The research used Completely Randomized Design. The material used was axillary buds  A.  paniculata  with nodal number 3. treated for 30 minutes in coconut water 10, 15 and 20% and aquadest as a controle each with 6 replications. Observations were done on live percentage, root length, root  numerous and  cuttings  height  after 12 weeks planting. The results showed that the  concentration 10 to 15% of coconut water was able with significant  to induce the  root growth of cutting axillary buds A. Paniculat.  The concentration 15% of coconut water was the best in inducing  cutting height growth, each with an average root length is 8.2 cm and the average number of roots that formed is 16, 0 and the average cutting height is  22.7 cm. There was an increase of average of  cuttings height growth by 86% which was supported by the average increase of root length and root number of 105.0% and 280.9% on the occasion of cuttings of axillary buds in coconut water concentration 15%.

[SWEET CORN EXTRACT AND COCONUT WATER EFFECT TO INDUCE GARLIC (Allium sativum L.) ADVENTIST SHOOTS BY IN-VITRO CULTURE]. Garlic (Allium sativum L.) is one of the horticultural plants used daily for various uses. This study aims to determine the best extract concentration of sweet corn and coconut water and its interaction for induction garlic Adventist shoots (Allium sativum L.) var. Lumbu Hijau. The study was conducted at the Biotechnology Laboratory, Agriculture Faculty, UPN ”Veteran” East Java, in February – April 2021. The experimental design used was a factorial completely randomized design (CRD). The first factor is four levels of extract of sweet corn concentration (0, 50, 100, and 150 g/L), while the second factor is four levels of coconut water concentration (0, 50, 100, and 150 mL/L). The results showed that the extract of sweet corn concentration-time treatment increased the growing adventist shoots percentage, adventist shoots number, and adventist shoots size. The section of sweet corn concentration of 150 g/L increased the rate of growing adventist shoots, adventist shoots number, and adventist shoots size. The treatment of coconut water concentration and its interaction with the extract of sweet corn concentration is still not able for induction garlic adventist shoots (Allium sativum L.) of the var. Lumbu Hijau.

Straw mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae) is a fungal fruiting bodies and white egg-shaped, brown, to black. Mushroom is used as a vegetable that has the nutrients, tastes good and beneficial to health such as preventing anemia or anemia. This study aimed to determine the effect of coconut water (Cocos ncifera L.) at medium reeds (Imperata cylindrica L.) on the production of edible mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae). This study was conducted in village of Malintang skelter, District Six Lingkung Sicincin. The study design was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications. Obtained from the treatment of the large number of fungi per rack range 1-5 pieces. Wet weight per shelf fungi ranged from 33.2 to 166.5 grams and the largest mushroom body circle each shelf range 1 - 2,5 cm. The results showed that the addition of different concentrations of coconut water very significant effect on the number of each shelf fungi, wet weight and body fungus largest circle on the level of 5%. Giving coconut water concentration gives a significantly different effect on the large number of body wet weight of fruit and growing every shelf while the body of the loop does not affect the real fruit. Ari treatment using coconut (Cocos nucifera L.) as much as 150 ml gave the best results on the production of edible mushroom (Volvariella volvaceae).

This study aimed to determine the best dosage of goat manure as a natural fertilizer on Beha grass(Brachiaria humidicola). This study used 64 poles of Beha grass grown in polybags divided into 16plots, and it used a completely randomized design (CRD) to analyze the data. This study consist of 4treatments that is P0 (0 ton/ha of goat manure), P1 (10 ton/ha of goat manure), P2 (15 ton/ha of goatmanure), and P3 (20 ton/ha of goat manure). This study's variables were plant height, number of leaves,numbers of tillers, new production, and root length. Data analysis used ANOVA variance continued withreal honest difference test. The result of this study showed that averages of plant height (cm) wereP0=26, P1=50.5, P2=51.5, and P3=52.75. Averages of the number of leaves were P0=22, P1=110,P2=160, and P3=185. Averages of numbers of tillers were P0=7, P1=25, P2=37, and P3=38. Averages ofnew production (g) were P0=17.75, P1=123.5, P2=178, and P3=192.25. Averages of root length (cm)were P0=37.8, P1=39.5, P2=41.775, and P3=49.5. Fertilization with natural fertilizer from goat manurehas a genuine effect (P<0.01) on the growth of Beha grass. The best dosage of fertilization with goatmanure was 15 ton/ha.

This study aims to know the effect of Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP) and Coconut Water on shoot bud growth and Broccoli Sulforaphane content (Brassica oleracea L. var italic Plenck). The study was conducted in the laboratory of Biotechnology Department of Aquaculture, Faculty of Agriculture of Sam Ratulangi University, Manado, that conducted from August-December 2017. This study used a Complete Randomized Design (RAL), consisting of 8 treatments and each repeated as many 4 times, so we get 32 unit experiment. The variables observed were number of buds, number of leaves, plant height, wet weight, root number and Sulforaphane content analysis. The result of research shows that analysis of variance showed that in the use of Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP) concentration 3 ppm tends to increase the number of leaves aged 4 Weeks After Culture (MSK) and increase the number of shoots age 2 and 6 Weeks After Culture (MSK). Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP) 3 ppm can increase the wet weight of age 6W eeks After Culture ((MSK). Coconut water 20% tends to increase the number of leaves at age 6 Weeks After Culture (MSK) and increase the number of shoots aged 6 Weeks After Culture (MSK), while for combination of 3 ppm Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP) and coconut water 20% tends to increase the number of leaves aged 2 Weeks After Culture (MSK) and the number of shoots aged 2 Weeks After Culture (MSK). Combination of coconut water and Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP) is not detected by the content of Sulforaphane.
