Innovation in Language Teaching Methodology should address the needs and demands of the 21st century learners and the birth of Mobile Aided Language Learning created abundant possibilities for the field of language education. This study investigates the effect of the Mobile Application: Moodle in teaching ESL learners. A quasiexperimental research with 100 respondents in Junior High School at Rizal Technological University-Laboratory High School of the Academic Year 2017-2018. The research data were gathered from the pre-test and post-test results during the betatesting activity and Focus Group Discussion conducted among the experimental set during the 4th grading period. Experimental Set used the Mobile Application: Moodle in their daily classroom discussion and activity tasks. Results shows that there is an increase with the performance of the Experimental Group compared to the Controlled Group test results. Also, the students in the experimental set express positive feedback about the integration of Mobile App in teaching and learning process. The study suggests that with further research and development of the program, it will enhance the possibility of MALL acquisition in teaching ESL Keywords: mobile aided language learning (MALL); e-learning; m-learning; mobile applications

This study aims to determine students' problems in learning English, especially in terms of speaking and listening. Basically, the teaching and learning process will run smoothly if students feel comfortable with the learning activities; therefore, this research provides some appropriate suggestions for teachers in overcoming difficulties faced by students. The respondents of this study were junior high school students. This study used a questionnaire as an instrument to determine the extent of students' skills in English. This study also conducted data analysis by analyzing the importance of English in students' views, the difficulties encountered in learning English, and also the teacher's teaching strategies desired by students. The results of this study indicate that most students have some difficulties in speaking due to lack of confidence and skills such as pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. Likewise, the difficulty in listening is caused by students’ lack of vocabulary that leads to the difficulty in understanding conversations in English. To overcome this problem, teachers need to have strategies such as identification, diagnosis, prognosis, and assistance or therapy. This research can facilitate the teachers in knowing complaints about English language difficulties experienced by the students.

Integrating technology as a teaching media in language learning has been widely promoted by teaching practitioners. Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL) is among the most popular approaches used in EFL classrooms and has been reported in some studies to be beneficial in supporting students’ language learning process. This study aimed to determine whether employing MALL through the Hello English (HE) application as a teaching media could significantly affect the mastery of vocabulary of eighth grade students in an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Junior High School ( JHS) classroom. Using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, this study presented the numerical data collected through a multiple-choice test. In analyzing the data, t-tests were employed with a 5% (0.05) significance level using the SPSS statistical test tools v.20. According to the results, the HE application had a significant effect on the students’ mastery of the vocabulary, and so it is recommended that the HE application be used as a tool in the English language teaching and learning process. Integrating technology in teaching junior high school motivates, capacitates and prepares the 21st century learners in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The use of technology to enhance instruction enables the learners to be productive. This study ascertained the effectiveness of using technology in teaching Junior high school in the public schools. The study employed QUAN-QUAL methods for data gathering. The participants of the study were informed on the objectives of this study and their rights in the conduct of the study. To validate the data gathered, focus group discussion was conducted. Results revealed that the use of technology improves performance. Teachers' productivity skills and the ability to use technology were enhanced as they utilized ICT in instruction. Thus, the junior high school learners were technology literate and acquire the 21st century skills.

Exam is one form of evaluation used to assess the delivery of lessons that have been taught by teachers to students. The test is conducted to measure the achievement of students as students. If the results of the evaluation of the student learning process are deemed not optimal, the teaching and learning process must be improved in terms of both quality and quantity. Conventional exams are currently considered less effective, because they require a large amount of money and take a relatively long time to correct test results. The purpose of this study is to facilitate students and teachers in the process of administering the exam and can increase the effectiveness of the exam. The method used in this research is the waterfall method. While the data collection technique using quantitative techniques. The result of this research is a web-based online exam application which is expected to make it easier for students to work on exam questions anywhere using available devices

In recent years, mobile-based game language learning has proliferated due to its promising prospects and positive impacts in improving teaching and learning outcomes in English vocabulary development. With this phenomenon, Square Talks® was developed specifically to aid EFL beginner learners with their English vocabulary. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the game app in developing the learners’ English vocabulary development. This study employed a quantitative approach focusing on 34 EFL beginner learners. The focus has been on how effective the game app was statistically and overall experience of using the game app. Data were collected through vocabulary tests and a survey. The test results showed that Square Talks® has improved the subjects’ English vocabulary development with the t-value of the test results is -19.93 indicating a significant effect in increasing the subjects’ English vocabulary development. The survey result revealed positive acceptance toward playing Square Talks® in terms of effectiveness (4.49), usability (4.34), and satisfaction (4.52). Therefore, Square Talks® can be considered to be an alternative learning tool to facilitate EFL beginner learners’ vocabulary development.

The research is aimed at exploring the students’ perception on the use of video in learning English language during pandemic. It deploys a qualitative research framework with the instrument used for data collection include, diary and interviews. The participants were a group of English students at a Junior High School in Bogor. The findings show that the students perceived the use of video as an engaging, motivating, and interesting media for their language learning. Their positive perception on the use of video is based on some advantages offered by the video that covers motivation, engagement, flexibility, and operability. The result also affirms video can facilitate students’ language learning during the current Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, it is suggested that using video is highly recommended in this situation where teaching and learning activities are required to be conducted online.

The article deals with the issues of modernization of the educational process and outlines one of the most effective ways of implementing modern methods and techniques of language learning that are crucial for a successful person today. It is determined that despite the fact that in Ukraine there is an educational program for primary, secondary and higher education institutions, it is considered rather outdated and, unfortunately, negatively affects not only the knowledge base, but also the attitude of people to the educational process. The article analyzes the works of domestic and foreign scientists who have studied the process of introduction of digital technologies and mobile applications in the educational process. The research is a confirmation of previous scientific research and is aimed directly at the question of learning foreign languages, especially English, using personal computer (PCs) programs, tablets, smartphones and other gadgets. The study focuses on exploring the benefits and weaknesses of the Drops mobile app and analyzing its impact on users' level of knowledge and prospects for future interactions with users and mobile apps to successfully learn foreign languages. The article demonstrates the functionalities of the Drops mobile application and identifies the ability to apply it among three different age groups of users with different levels of English, as well as make predictions about the further progress of users in learning the language if the Drops mobile application is used regularly. The experiment analyzes the conditions, which determined: download the Drops application; to study a specific block of vocabulary of the British English language "City & Shops" within one week, the recipients of the experiment were "users" of different age and level of language proficiency. The main problems faced by language learners are highlighted, which confirms the benefits and highlights more of the program's disadvantages that the creators of the Drops mobile application should work on. It was noted that the success in learning a foreign language by using the Drops mobile application was improved, and the effectiveness of using modern technologies in the process of acquiring new knowledge of English was demonstrated. The widespread introduction of mobile applications in English language education programs is recommended.

The study deals with the Contextual Teaching and Learning of the students’ reading comprehension at junior high school. Contextual Teaching and Learning is a new alternative for every teachers to relate the materials to the real world. The aims of the research are to analyze the effect of non and CTL method of the students’ reading comprehension.  The research method is an experimental method. The data analysis is taken from the two classess. Then, they divided into two  groups, the control and experimental group. The major findings of the study shows that the effect of Contextual Teaching and Learning on the students’ reading comprehension is better than the non CTL method-lecture method for the junior high school students.
