Photographs bear visual memories of events, people, buildings and landscapes. The sensitivity of the materials used makes them a vulnerable part of cultural heritage, therefore their appropriate use and storage is ever more important. The work presented is based on an inventory of photographs from the Julij Felaher Collection (SI AS 1384) kept by the Archives of the Republic of Slovenia. In addition to basic information, the inventory sheet used also included reference to the type of photographic technique, the type of primary support, the type of damage, and an assessment of the preservation status. Based on the data obtained, physical protection of the photographs was carried out in order to enable their permanent storage.

Kata kunci: Antioksidan, Ekstrak Sargassum sp., Lama Penyimpanan, Oksidasi lemak, Fillet Ikan patinABSTRACTCatfish is a freshwater fish that contain high fat and protein so that if its stored it will susceptible to oxidation process which leads to rancidity. The materials used in this research were Sargassum sp. extracts and catfish fillet. This research was using experimental laboratories research method with factorial Completely Randomized Research Design (CRD) of 2 factors which were concentrations of Sargassum sp. extracts (0%, 1%, 1.5%, and 2%) and storage time (0 day, 2 days, 4 days, and 6 days). The results showed that the adding of different concentrations of Sargassum sp. extracts and storage time gave significant effect to the PV value, TBA value, fat content, protein content, moisture content, as well as organoleptic point (P < 0.05). The results obtained from stage I research were the yields of Sargassum sp. with ethanol 96% solvent was 1.39%, phenol content was 1.813%, flavonoid was 0.278%, and antioxidant activity was 99.1659 ppm (categorized as strong antioxidant). Abstract The study summarises the basic information on daguerreotype, the first ever practically used photographic process, which was used mainly in the period 1840 - 1860. Daguerrotype takes advantage of a photosensitive layer of silver halides on a silver layer to capture an image, it uses a reaction of silver with mercury vapours to develop the image. The production process via daguerreotype as described hasn’t changed since its deployment and stabilisation in the middle of 19th century. The properties of a daguerreotype image are given by its soft microstructure, which could have only been described after introduction of the electron microscopy. The susceptibility of daguerrotypes to damage and degradations stems not only from their low mechanical resistance but also from unsuitable conservation interventions and archiving conditions.

The scientific article is devoted to the study of the possibilities of digitalization when conducting excursions to the objects of the world cultural heritage of the Republic of Tatarstan in the tourism industry. The advent of digital technologies has had a positive impact on the development of tourism activities. Today, tourism is a global business that takes advantage of opportunities for digitalization and innovation. Thanks to the digitalization, work has become operational, around the clock, and at the same time there is a significant saving of human, time and financial resources. A modern tourist organization that uses information, digital and innovative technologies in its activities, successfully and profitably conducts its business, laying the foundation for the future. Considered one of the key services included in the tour product, the tour performs cognitive and educational functions, and the excursion activity itself is responsible for the educational function of society.

The presented results reflect the researches carried out over the last decade, having as their object the soil, water, vegetal raw materials, and wines from the Republic of Moldova. The analysis of the possible anthropogenic contamination (NAA method) demonstrated the absence of systematic soil pollution. A total of 30 elements were determined in soil samples and the soil-leaves-fruit transfer factors were calculated. Approximately 3000 samples of local wines have been analysed to determine the residual quantities of pesticides. POPs were not found in any of the wine samples. In most of the examined cases (> 60% of samples), the lack of organic pesticide residues was observed. The migration of phthalates into different solutions from polymeric materials (PVC, rubber) and the influence of the temperature on the extraction rate were investigated. It has been shown that the contamination with phthalate residues occurs predominantly at the stage of grape processing, technological treatment, and storage.

Waterlogged archaeological wood is exposed to a high risk of biological degradation during the post-excavation phases of storage and restoration. For this reason, often biocides must be used to preserve wooden remains. In the present work three essential oils (cinnamon, wild thyme, and common thyme) were tested as possible alternative biocides to use in the preservation of waterlogged archaeological wood. The oils were first tested in vitro to establish the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and to evaluate the biocidal activity on selected fungal strains. Then, the established MIC was applied on waterlogged archaeological wood samples and during an actual restoration treatment. The effectiveness of the oils was evaluated through cultural analyses, ATP quantification, and next-generation sequencing. The results showed that the oils caused a significant decrease in the vitality of fungal mycelia grown in vitro and of the microbiota present in treated wood and storage water. Furthermore, an influence on the composition of the bacterial communities of treated wood samples was observed. Although further tests are needed to evaluate interferences with the materials used during restoration procedures, essential oils could be considered as a possible alternative to the currently used biocide.
