The article describes a method based on the relationship of the integral index of refraction of air with its integral altitude gradient. The refractive index N and its altitude gradient dN / dH are proportional to each other under conditions of limited atmospheric height. It has been established that the gradient of the refractive index can be found by the index itself with a known coefficient of coupling between them. Wherein, it is easy to find the gradient by the angle of complete refraction. Results of experimental studies and recommendations for its use are given. A correlation analysis of the results of synchronous measurements was performed.

SummaryAs part of a population study on chronic lung disease in the Netherlands, an investigation is made of the relationship of both age and sex with indices describing the maximum expiratory flow-volume (MEFV) curve. To determine the relationship, non-linear canonical correlation was used as realized in the computer program CANALS, a combination of ordinary canonical correlation analysis (CCA) and non-linear transformations of the variables. This method enhances the generality of the relationship to be found and has the advantage of showing the relative importance of categories or ranges within a variable with respect to that relationship. The above is exemplified by describing the relationship of age and sex with variables concerning respiratory symptoms and smoking habits. The analysis of age and sex with MEFV curve indices shows that non-linear canonical correlation analysis is an efficient tool in analysing size and shape of the MEFV curve and can be used to derive parameters concerning the whole curve.

ABSTRACTThis study is descriptive analitik, aims to describe the relationship of perceptions about the physiotherapy profession with the motivation to learn students of the Academy of Physiotherapy UKI. Data collection through questionnaires to students of Physiotherapy Academy UKI level 1, 2, and 3 with a sample of 53 students, then give a score of each statement of questionnaire. The result of correlation analysis shows that p = 0,584> α (0,05) ho is accepted, so there is no significant relationship between the two variables. To measure the closeness and intensity of the relationship between the two variables, test of correlation coefficient and simple linear regression. The result of correlation coefficient test (r) obtained by -0,077, lies below the value of -0.30 (very weak) thus can be said there is no relation between perception about physiotherapy profession with motivation learn student Akfis UKI. Result of linear regression analysis obtained equation: Y = 73,52 + (-0,088) X. This means that every 1 point decrease of perception value will influence motivation value equal to 0,088 times. Keywords: Perception, motivation, physiotherapy profession, and learning achievement.

The article presents the results of experimental studies to determine the relationship between the electrolysis modes and the properties of electroplating coatings for mathematical modeling of the dynamics of the electrolytic process (MDEP), described by a system of ordinary differential equations due to the complex relationship of the kinetics of chemical reactions, hydrodynamics and mass transfer in the electrolyte flow, the kinematics of electrode plates, and the influence of the electric field of the "anode-cathode" pair on all these processes. At the same time, the experimental base was a series of full-scale experiments to restore the seats of the root supports of cylinder blocks with electroplated coatings. The final result of the research is the procedure for constructing an optimal resource-saving mode of electroplating, which is a zinc-iron alloy.

Although the goal of many clinical assessments and research studies is to measure how much people change between two occasions, the measurement of change is fraught with conceptual and methodological difficulties. One of the difficulties is that there are (at least) two different reasons to measure change: to determine if intervention had any effect, and to identify the correlates of change. These two goals work against each other, because the former requires there to be little difference in the amount of change among people in the same group, while the latter depends on inter-individual differences. The chapter also discusses various biases that exist when people are asked directly how much they think they have changed. This chapter addresses the issues of the relationship of change to the reliability of the scale, difficulties of measuring change in experimental and quasi-experimental studies, and new approaches to measuring change, such as growth curve analysis.

Research was conducted to determine the effect of lubricants on stress and strain in the contact of metal surfaces. Experiments were carried out on the introduction of a fixed and moving indenter in contact with a dry and lubricated surface. The steel spherical specimen was pressed into a lubricated and dry metal surface. The microstructures of the structure of the surface layer are studied under various conditions of deformation. The diagrams of the relative deformation of the surface layers are constructed. The mechanism of the formation and distribution of internal stresses for dry and greased contact is described. Experimental studies of the introduction of a moving steel indenter into a lubricated surface have been carried out. The relationship of the deformation mechanisms of lubricated surfaces with their wear resistance is determined. The results obtained are recommended for predicting the durability of lubricated friction units according to the criterion of contact strength.

This study was made to investigate the relationship of surface meteorological data and corresponding surface refractive indices to radio field strengths in the FM frequency band. For meteorological observations during which the wind speeds were equal to or greater than 10 mph, and when fronts, low overcast clouds (less than 5000 ft), rain, thunderstorms and fogs were excluded, a 0.70 correlation coefficient was found between hourly surface refractive index and hourly median field strength over a Washington-Richmond path at a frequency of 96.3 Mc.

For women, the perineum is very important stretching and lubricating the perineum during labor can weaken the pelvic floor muscles in the vaginal wall, trauma to the perineum also causes discomfort and pain during sexual intercourse and an estimated 85% of maternal mothers experience birth canal lacerations (Kettle and Tohil 2008). One of the fears that are often felt by pregnant women, especially third timers, is fear of being torn and afraid of sewing. Especially for mothers who have experienced it, this can make their own trauma when facing the birth process later (USU, 2006). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of parity to the degree of laceration of the birth pathway in Jetis Lor Polindes, Nawangan District, Pacitan Regency. The design or design in this study is correlation analysis, with the "retrospective" approach. This study analyzed the relationship of parity with the degree of laceration of the birth path in Jetis Lor Polindes, Nawangan District, Pacitan Regency. In this study, the population was all mothers giving birth at Jetis Lor Polindes, Nawangan District, Pacitan Regency. The samples in this study were all mothers giving birth at Jetis Lor Polindes, Nawangan District, Pacitan Regency. In this study by looking at the last 1 year data. In this study the independent variable is parity. In this study the dependent variable is the degree of laceration of the birth canal. Based on the calculation results of SPSS 11.5 for Windows, it was found that there was no relationship between parity and laceration degrees in the Jetis Lor Polindes, Nawangan Subdistrict, Pacitan Regency, from the results of probability (sig. 2-tailed) 0.22 <0.05.The researcher hopes that the mother will seek information and increase knowledge about the labor process, so that with good knowledge will reduce lacerations on the birth canal
