In developed nations, the advent of distributed ledger technology is emerging as a new instrument for improving the traditional system in developing nations. Indeed, adopting blockchain technology is a necessary condition for the coming future of organizations. The distributed ledger technology provides better transparency and visibility. This study investigated the features that may influence the behavioral intention of energy experts to implement the distributed ledger technology for the energy management of developing countries. The proposed model is based on the Technology Acceptance Model construct and the diffusion of the innovation construct. Based on a survey of 178 experts working in the energy sector, the proposed model was tested using structural equation modeling. The findings showed that perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude, and cost saving had a positive and significant impact during the blockchain technology adoption. However, innovativeness showed a positive effect on the perceived ease of use whereas an insignificant impact on the perceived usefulness. The present study offers a holistic model for the implementation of innovative technologies. For the developers, it suggest rising disruptive technology solutions.

Recently, the social networking applications expand rapidly and attract a lot of users in a short time period. This study attempts to develop a conceptual model to understand the continuance intention in the context of social networking. The conceptual model integrates the post-acceptance model of information system continuance with perceived ease-of-use and perceived usefulness proposed by Bhattacherjee (2001a) and Davis (1989), respectively. In the proposed model, continuance intention is influenced by the relationship quality and information system quality. Additionally, nine propositions are developed based the proposed model and literature review. Finally, conclusions, managerial implications, and future direction of research are also provided.

Abstract: This study aims to develop and test the integrative model of the factors affecting customers’ acceptance intention of the adoption of blockchain technology. Data were collected from a sample of 195 customers who have been conducting transactions at Dong A Bank – Hue branch. Samples are selected by using the systematic random sampling method. Structural equation modelling (SEM) is used to test the hypothesized relationships. The findings indicate that six out of eight tested relationships are supported. Perceived usefulness (PU) and Perceived ease of use (PEU) are the most critical factors affecting customers’ Attitude (AT). Attitude also has a direct and positive correlation to customers’ acceptance Intention (IN). Notably, Personal characteristics (PC) and Risk perception (RP) are the two most influential factors affecting Perceived usefulness. And, the Perceived ease of use factor is only affected by customers’ Self-command (SC). In general, this study contributes to enriching the existing knowledge of blockchain adoption in banks and helps banks figure out an efficient way to adopt blockchain technology.Keywords: customers’ acceptance, blockchain adoption, Dong A Bank, Hue branch

Mobile health (mHealth) services have recently been receiving increasing attention. However, there is a lack of knowledge about how users accept and adopt mobile medical treatment (MMT) services, some of the most promising mHealth services that aim to extend the patient–physician relationship beyond the conventional clinic environment. To fill this research gap, this study proposes a research model for predicting consumers’ acceptance behavior toward MMT services based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). A survey was conducted among 303 Chinese MMT service users to evaluate the proposed model and relevant hypotheses using partial least squares. Several key findings were summarized from the results: (1) the attitude toward using MMT, technology anxiety, and trust are significantly associated with users’ behavioral intention to use MMT services; (2) the perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and trust significantly influence users’ attitude toward using MMT services; (3) the perceived interactivity, perceived personalization, and privacy concerns have significant impacts on users’ perceptions of ease of use, usefulness, and trust toward MMT services. The current findings have both theoretical and practical implications that may guide practitioners and researchers to better understand consumers’ acceptance of MMT services.

This study presents a conceptual model that combines perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, innovativeness, trust, demographic characteristics and relationship drivers in order to examine their influence on the mobile services’ adoption intention. The proposed model is empirically tested using data collected from a survey with questionnaires conducted in Greece. The results are analyzed through factor analysis, stepwise regression analysis, and ANOVAs. The findings show that individuals’ innovativeness, their educational level, and the relationship ties between the users and the mobile services are key factors to encourage m-services’ adoption. The results provide interesting insights and useful hints to practitioners and researchers.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to review existing literature on users’ digital learning acceptance behavior and to identify gaps in the current body of knowledge and suggest future research directions. The paper also includes identification of motivating as well as inhibiting factors previously explored by academicians in the acceptance of digital learning. Design/methodology/approach The systematic literature review based on PRISMA methodology was conducted, and 200 articles from peer-reviewed journals on digital learning acceptance behavior using technology adoption theories were examined. Findings The study found an overall rise in the number of papers published yearly during 2002–2017. Most of the studies were published in two journals, i.e. Computers & Education and Computers in Human Behaviour and were carried out in Asia followed by Europe, North America, Africa, Oceania and South America. It was also noted that most of the studies have used the technology acceptance model and were empirical in nature. The study also found that prominently students’ digital learning acceptance behavior was investigated. The review also indicates a lack of qualitative and mixed method (qualitative and quantitative) approaches to study digital learning acceptance behavior. Practical implications The study identified gaps in the current body of knowledge by reviewing published articles that will suggest future directions for further research. The top three determinants of digital learning acceptance that have been analyzed were the behavioral intention, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, followed by attitude and user behavior. The study articulates the implications for providers in marketing digital learning products, for higher education institution in expanding digital content, for students seeking digital education tools, for educators in motivating students to accept digital learning and for governments in delivering cost-effective public education by utilizing digital learning. Originality/value The paper analyzes 200 publications on digital learning acceptance through technology adoption theories. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first initiative to provide systematic and exhaustive summarization of the knowledge in this subject. It further explores the various factors influencing digital learning adoption behavior and provides avenues for future research. The paper is useful for researchers working on digital learning acceptance behavior.

This study focuses on the role of new blockchain technology in the green IoT ecosystem, highlights essential aspects for developing a green IoT ecosystem, and investigates how blockchain technology contributes to a greener IoT environment. Data from 360 Peruvian (Latin American) SME top managers (two informants from each of 180 SMEs) were quantitatively analyzed using Smart PLS 3.0 (SEM) and SPSS V25. The purpose of this study was to look into the direct impact of attitude, knowledge, and perceived ease of use on blockchain technology adoption for green energy usage. These three parameters' indirect effects on perceived feasibility were also evaluated. The investigations demonstrated a positive and significant association between blockchain technology adoption and perceived ease of use for green energy usage. There is no typical link between green energy usage attitudes and blockchain technology adoption. Furthermore, the data revealed that perceived feasibility mediates the impact between attitude and knowledge and blockchain technology adoption for green energy usage.

 The frequent use of e-Government services and the ability of the government to successfully implement e-Government to match the needs of the citizens remain to be understood. The purpose of this study is to construct an adoption model for the e-Government services by considering renowned technology adoption models. This model considered trustworthiness in shaping the adoption model. To test the model, questionnaire was designed, adapted from previous studies which were distributed to employees of public organizations in Esfahan, Iran. The proposed model was thoroughly analyzed using Structured Equation Modeling (SEM). The new adoption model modified and the final model consist of ten constructs including intention to use, trustworthiness, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, compatibility, social influence, job relevant, output quality, and image. The results affirmed that relationships between the model variables suggested good model fit. The fitted model of this study may be applied to other e-Government services of other countries.

Abstract Background The employment of IT in healthcare reflects a need to meet the increasing demands of patients and to upgrade the quality and productivity of the provided services. However, the literature demonstrates many failures in systems and IT technology implementation in the context of healthcare. One of the reasons behind these failures is users’ resistance to accept such new technology. The ministry of health in Saudi Arabia has prioritized the embracing of new technologies that could level up the healthcare service, such as the adoption of electronic medical record (EMR) systems. On the other hand, studies that address the acceptance and use of hospital information systems and EMRs in Saudi Arabia from patients’ points of view are scarce. The aim of this study was to explore patients’ acceptance of an EMR system by testing a proposed theoretical model adapted from the technology acceptance model (TAM) and the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT). Methods An online questionnaire was used where questions were based on the proposed model constructs (facilitating conditions, perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude, and behavioral intention). One hundred sixteen patients responded to the questionnaire. The model was then tested using the structural equation modeling method to identify the factors that affect patients’ intention to use the online services of the EMR. Results The analysis of the research model suggested that (1) facilitating conditions that involved patients’ knowledge, skills, and the provided support by the hospital directly influenced the degree of perceived ease of use (PEOU) of the system. (2) PEOU directly affected the EMR’s perceived usefulness (PU). (3) PU directly affected patients’ attitudes (ATT) toward using the EMR. (4) A positive effect is found between ATT and the behavioral intention to use EMR. Conclusion The study results have implications for healthcare IT acceptance research and efforts in Saudi Arabia, as to date patients’ perspectives have received little attention. The research also makes a theoretical contribution as it validated the proposed model, which integrated constructs from TAM and UTAUT.

The paper proposes a conceptual model of cloud computing acceptance. The model includes variables from TAM (Technology Acceptance Model), TOE (Technology-organization-environment) framework, and the security risk variable. This study aims to verify the suitability of the proposed model for measuring cloud computing acceptance by the auditors and auditors' assistants in the Republic of Croatia. For the purposes of the study, data were collected through a questionnaire. The sample included 111 certified auditors and 28 auditing assistants. The structural equation modeling (SEM) method was used to analyze the data collected and evaluate the proposed model. The results confirmed the impact of perceived usefulness and time and complexity on the intention to use. The influence of image, education, perceived ease of use and security risk on perceived usefulness was confirmed, while the effect of perceived ease of use on the intention to use did not prove significant. Constructs perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and time and complexity explain 31% of the variance in intention to use cloud computing. The paper outlines the limitations of the research as well as the scientific contribution.

This study investigates the factors that affect the user’s intention to use dashcam in Malaysia. This study examines the quantitative relationship of intrinsic as well as extrinsic factors such as personal innovativeness, perceived uniqueness, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude, perceived behavioral control, social influence, price value, and trust to the purchase intention of dashcam. Purposive sampling technique was employed to collect responses from 232 respondents based on two criteria: first, individuals who have experienced driving on the road and have a car; and second, individuals who not yet adopt or purchase the dashcam. The data were analyzed using SmartPLS (version 3.3.2). No relationship between personal innovativeness and perceived usefulness was found, in contrast to a significant relationship the former and perceived ease of use. Furthermore, perceived uniqueness was found significant to both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Consistent with the literature, both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use were identified as factors influencing attitude. However, perceived usefulness did not affect intention. Perceived behavioral control, social influence, attitude, and trust significantly affected the behavioral intention to use the dashcam in Malaysia. This study attempts to integrate and adapt two technology adoption models, namely the Combined Technology Acceptance Model and Theory Planned Behavior and extension of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology, also extends the model with personal innovativeness, perceived uniqueness, and trust to fulfil the study’s objectives as well.
