The estimation of user experience in a wireless network has always been a research hotspot, especially for the realization of network automation. In order to solve the problem of user experience estimation in wireless networks, we propose a two-step optimization method for the selection of the kernel function and bandwidth in a naive Bayesian classifier based on kernel density estimation. This optimization method can effectively improve the accuracy of estimation. At present, research on user experience estimation in wireless networks does not include an in-depth analysis of the reasons for the decline of user experience. We established a scheme integrating user experience prediction and network fault diagnosis. Key performance indicator (KPI) data collected from an actual network were divided into five categories, which were used to estimate user experience. The results of these five estimates were counted through the voting mechanism, and the final estimation results could be obtained. At the same time, this voting mechanism can also feed back to us which KPIs lead to the reduction of user experience. In addition, this paper also puts forward the evaluation standard of the multi-service perception capability of cell-level wireless networks. We summarize the user experience estimation for three main services in a cell to obtain a cell-level user experience evaluation. The results showed that the proposed method can accurately estimate user experience and diagnosis abnormal values in a timely manner. This method can improve the efficiency of network management.

With the rapid development of e-commerce technology, cross-channel consumption has become the mainstream mode of contemporary consumers. However, there are several problems of cross-channel consumption such as inconsistency of online and offline channel information and service, disfluency of channel switching which have brought adverse effects on user experience. The question arises here as to what factors influence user experience and how to build a scientific and effective evaluation index system. Different from previous studies based on sellers, this paper used grounded theory to analyze and summarize the evaluation index system of user experience under cross-channel consumption from the perspective of consumers. We summarized and refined four first level indexes which are “online platform attribute, offline entity attribute, channel switching attribute, and individual demand” and 13 second level indexes which are “platform operation, platform information, platform service, platform promotion, product quality, service quality, environment quality, channel consistency, channel switching cost, channel switching fluency, psychological expectation, personal interests and individual needs.” Then, we used BP neural network to build the evaluation model and trained and simulated the performance of the sample. The results show that the evaluation model has a good generalization ability and can effectively evaluate user experience under cross-channel consumption. Finally, implications and limitations are also discussed. This study helps to enrich the theoretical research on user experience and consumer behavior. It also provides targeted basis for in-depth analysis of cross-channel consumption behavior, establishment of user experience evaluation index system, and improving user experience and multichannel management of physical stores.

The mechanisms leading to the commitment of a cell to a particular fate or to restrictions in its developmental potencies represent a problem of central importance in developmental biology. Both at the genetic and at the molecular level, studies addressing this topic using the fruitfly Drosophila melanogaster have advanced substantially, whereas, at the cellular level, experimental techniques have been most successfully applied to organisms composed of relatively large and accessible cells. The combined application of the different approaches to one system should improve our understanding of the process of commitment as a whole. Recently, a method has been devised to study cell lineage in Drosophila embryos at the single cell level. This method has been used to analyse the lineages, as well as the state of commitment of single cell progenitors from various ectodermal, mesodermal and endodermal anlagen and of the pole cells. The results obtained from a clonal analysis of wild-type larval structures are discussed in this review.

Abstract Background Identification of antibiotic resistance genes from environmental samples has been a critical sub-domain of gene discovery which is directly connected to human health. However, it is drawing extraordinary attention in recent years and regarded as a severe threat to human health by many institutions around the world. To satisfy the needs for efficient ARG discovery, a series of online antibiotic resistance gene databases have been published. This article will conduct an in-depth analysis of CARD, one of the most widely used ARG databases. Results The decision model of CARD is based the alignment score with a single ARG type. We discover the occasions where the model is likely to make false prediction, and then propose an optimization method on top of the current CARD model. The optimization is expected to raise the coherence with BLAST homology relationships and improve the confidence for identification of ARGs using the database. Conclusions The absence of public recognized benchmark makes it challenging to evaluate the performance of ARG identification. However, possible wrong predictions and methods for resolving the problem can be inferred by computational analysis of the identification method and the underlying reference sequences. We hope our work can bring insight to the mission of precise ARG type classifications.

Although several research studies have adopted specific energy consumption (SEC) as an indicator of the progress of improved energy efficiency, publications are scarce on critical assessments when using SEC. Given the increasing importance of monitoring improved industrial energy efficiency and the rising popularity of SEC as an energy key performance indicator (e-KPI), an in-depth analysis and problematization on the pros and cons of using SEC would appear to be needed. The aim of this article is to analyse SEC critically in relation to industrial energy efficiency. By using SEC in the pulp and paper industry as an example, the results of this exploratory study show that although SEC is often used as an e-KPI in industry, the comparison is not always straightforward. Challenges emanate from a lack of information about how SEC is calculated. It is likely that SEC is an optimal e-KPI within the same study, when all deployed SECs are calculated in the same way, and with the same underlying assumptions. However, before comparing SEC with other studies, it is recommended that the assumptions on which calculations are based should be scrutinized in order to ensure the validity of the comparisons. The paper remains an important contribution in addition to the available handbooks.
