The sustainable development of mobile government social media depends citizens’ continued use. Based on the Stimulus-Organism-Response framework and social response theory, the present study investigated the impacts of perceived similarity and anthropomorphic cues on citizens’ mobile government microblog continuance. A research model of mobile government microblog continuance was developed and empirical tested by using dataset collected from 428 mobile government microblog citizens in China. The results of structural equation modeling demonstrated that perceived similarity (including external similarity and internal similarity), and anthropomorphic cues (including social interaction value, visual appearance, and identity attractiveness), have positive influences on both cognitive and affective involvement, which further determinate mobile government microblog continuance. Considering the path coefficient and significant levels, the impact from affective involvement on mobile government microblog continuance is stronger that from cognitive involvement.

This research aims to investigate the impact of customer satisfaction, experience, and loyalty on brand power in the Hotel industry. This study used a descriptive-survey research design based on the correlation method. The selected populations were Pars Hotels’ customers. Sample size was 384, based on Krejcie and Morgan’s sampling table. The structural equation modeling was used to evaluate the causal simulation and to examine the reliability and validity of the measuring model. The research results showed that customer expectation has the most impact on customer satisfaction with path coefficient of 0.74. On the other hand, customer loyalty, with path coefficient of 0.65, is known as an influential factor. This study helps to understand that customer satisfaction and customer expectations are positive drivers of customer loyalty. Customer loyalty also is a strong predictor of brand power in hoteling and tourism industry. By strengthening that part, which you have better resources, you can have a better supply and thus, there would be more opportunities in establishing reputation and increasing visibility.

We investigated the effect of athlete brand image (ABI) on Generation Z's behavioral intentions, when controlling for congruency of advertised products. We are the first to apply the relatively new concept of ABI to the intent of behavior in a specific consumer segment in an East Asian context. Data from a survey of 563 Korean respondents were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The results show that congruency acted as a mediator in the conceptual model. The findings also suggest that sportsmanship, role model, and relationship effort appeared to be the most important attributes of ABI. Consequently, athletes and their agents should concentrate on specific attributes to develop stronger brand images. By better understanding the impact of ABI on Generation Z, marketers can effectively target this unique consumer base, which will enable the sustainable development of the advertising market.

The Internet of think is considered incredibly adaptable in the present digital world, one of which is non-cash payments, making it easier, faster, and decreasing human errors. It is not surprising that the government is now promoting Gerakan Nasional Non-Tunai (GNNT) program by ratifying a new application owned by one of the BUMN subsidiaries to enable payment transactions. The GNNT is now being encouraged in many sectors of Indonesian needs, including traditional markets. The objectives of this study were: 1) identifying the consumer characteristics who uses non-cash payment applications in Oro-Oro Dowo market Malang, and 2) investigating the impact of service quality, product image, and promotion on consumer satisfaction as non-cash payment application users. The research site was in Oro-Oro Dowo market, Malang. It is the first traditional market to employ non-cash payments as a payment option, with the research period beginning in April 2020. This study had 100 participants selected through the distribution of questionnaires. The data analysis employed Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling. The findings showed that the majority of respondents who use non-cash applications were female consumers (76%), had an average age of 20-25 years (47%), had undergraduate education (46%), worked as private employee (37%), and had an average income of < Rp2.000.000 (37%). The path coefficient test revealed that product image and promotion variables had a significant effect on consumer satisfaction as they had a sig value of > 0.05 while the application service variable had a sig value greater than 0.05, it had a negligible effect on consumer satisfaction.

More and more researchers use meta-analysis to conduct multivariate analysis to summarize previous findings. In the correlation-based meta-analytic structural equation modeling (cMASEM), the average sample correlation matrix is used to estimate the average population model. Using a simple mediation model, we illustrated that random effects covariation in population parameters can theoretically bias the path coefficient estimates and lead to nonnormal random effects distribution of the correlations. We developed an R function for researchers to examine by simulation the impact of random effects in other models. We then reanalyzed two real data sets and conducted a simulation study to examine the magnitude of the impact on realistic situations. Simulation results suggest parameter bias is typically negligible (less than .02), parameter bias and root mean square error do not differ across methods, 95% confident intervals are sometimes more accurate for the two-stage structural equation modeling approach with a diagonal random effects model, and power is sometimes higher for the traditional Viswesvaran-Ones approach. Given the increasing popularity of cMASEM in organizational research, these simulation results form the basis for us to make several recommendations on its application.

Aging and health issues continue to receive attention, especially under the global health challenge of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. It is important to understand how people adapt their lifespan development to face the gains and losses of resources. The purpose of this study was to test the relationships between health resources, selection, optimization, and compensation (SOC) strategies and well-being with aging; to examine the impact of SOC strategies on health resources and well-being, and the link between health resources and well-being. Using structural equation modeling to analyze our hypotheses, a sample survey of 372 adults was conducted. The results showed that health resources were positively and significantly related to SOC and well-being. SOC strategies were positively and significantly related to well-being and SOC strategies partially mediated the link between health resources and well-being. The findings contribute to the literature by establishing a model and providing practical implications for individual behavior, as well as better understanding of the theoretical and practical implications of aging and health. A friendly community and organization may help people’s well-being in terms of physiology, psychology, society, and environment.

This article develops and tests a theoretical cognitive-affective process model of the hostile media effect (HME). To explain the HME, scholars have mainly focused on cognitive involvement, that is, the extent to which an issue is of personal importance. In addition, we introduce the notion of affective involvement and hypothesize three distinct routes responsible for a HME: a cognitive, an affective, and a cognitive-affective route. Simultaneously collected representative survey data from the United States, Norway, and France employing country-invariant measures provide clear evidence that the three routes each and independently drive the HME. Theoretical and methodological implications of these findings are discussed.

Visitor environmentally responsible behavior (ERB) is helpful for promoting the sustainable development of tourist destinations. Existing studies on visitor ERB tend to either focus on restraining visitors’ environmental misconducts or rely on visitors’ psychological factors. Based on the theory of engagement, this paper constructs a theoretical model to explain visitors’ self-conscious ERB. Visitor engagement with the destination is investigated as an independent variable which leads to the improvement of relationship quality and visitor ERB. Relationship quality is explored to mediate the impact of visitor engagement on ERB. In addition, the moderating role of environmental clue on the tested relationships is also examined. This study adopts partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to investigate a total of 410 valid questionnaires. The results show that (1) visitor engagement with the destination positively affects visitor ERB; (2) relationship quality mediates the impact of visitor engagement on visitor ERB; (3) environmental clue plays a significant moderating role in the effects of engagement and relationship quality on visitor ERB. The study extends theoretical perspectives on visitor ERB and customer engagement, and provides managerially practical value to better understand visitors’ self-conscious ERB.

This study aims to investigate the impact of parental career behaviors on undergraduate student’s career exploration and the mediating role of career self-efficacy. In the literature it is suggested that some social and individual factors facilitate students’ career exploration. Therefore, parental career behaviors and career self-efficacy is considered as predictors of student’s career exploration attitudes within the scope of the study. In this respect, data which are collected from 405 undergraduate students having an education on tourism and hotel management field by the survey method are analyzed by using the structural equation modeling. The results of the study indicate that parental career behaviors which are addressed support; interference and lack of engagement have a significant effect on student’s career exploration behaviors such as intended-systematic exploration, environment exploration and self-exploration. In addition, it has been found that one of the dimensions of parental career behaviors addressed as a lack of engagement has a significant effect on career self-efficacy levels of students. However, research results indicate that student’s career self-efficacy has a significant effect on only the self-exploration dimension. On the other hand, career self-efficacy has a partial mediating role between lack of engagement attitudes of parents and career exploration behaviors of students.

The study purpose is to analyse the impact of training, competence, motivation and leadership towards performance either directly or through job satisfaction as a mediator variable. As many as 55 staff are considered as respondents in this research, and census method is used as the sampling method. Primary data in this study were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Likert Scale. Secondary data are obtained from the organization structure Sukamandi Apparatus Training Centre (BDA), performance appraisal, staff attendance, information system and personnel management. Structural Equation Modeling Analisis of Moment Structures (SEM-AMOS) is used to process and analyze data. This study shows staff with high education, competence and leadership have a significant effect on performance, While the job satisfaction is significant in mediating the influence of training, competence and leadership on performance. Next on the employee with low education, training, competence, motivation and leadership have a significant influence on performance, while job satisfaction is significant in mediating the effect of competence and leadership on staff performance.   Keywords:  training, competence, motivation, leadership, job satisfaction, performance

The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationships to which leadership style (task and relations oriented leadership) moderate the impact of conflict on employee performance. Data were collected from 92 employees in different job levels. Partial least squares variance-based structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to test the relationship in the models. The results showed that task and relation conflict was associated with employee performance. The research findings also showed that leadership styles moderated the relationship between conflict and employee performance. This study offers implications for managerial practices.
