This paper aims to investigate the impacts of customer orientation, competitor orientation, learning orientation, technology orientation, and entrepreneurial orientation on hotel innovation and performance. Data from 69 hotels in four Angolan provinces were analyzed using the partial least squares (PLS) approach and multi group analysis. The results show that learning and entrepreneurial orientations have a positive impact on hotel innovation. As anticipated, innovation has a positive impact on performance. According to the multigroup analysis, only the hotel category has a moderating effect on performance. Results suggest that hotels in developing countries could add value to both customers and shareholders by promoting new services and exploring new business opportunities. To the best of our knowledge, this is one of the few studies that has researched the impact of strategic orientation on hotel innovation and financial performance in developing countries.

Although previous research has explored the effect of strategic orientation (SO) on innovation and business performance, little attention has been paid to its effect on environmental innovation capability (EIC) and environmental sustainability performance. Drawing on the strategic marketing and dynamic capability theory, this study attempts to increase the understanding of how SO (i.e., customer orientation, competitor orientation, and technology orientation) influences the EIC, which in turn enhances supplier’s environmental sustainability performance in the context of buyer-supplier relationships. In addition, this study examines the impact of inter-functional coordination on SO and also explores the moderating role of buyers value added in the relationship between SO and EIC. Hierarchical regression analysis was performed to test hypotheses that are based on survey data collected in 127 Taiwanese information technology firms. The results show that customer orientation and technology orientation have a positive impact on the EIC, that buyers value added has a synergistic effect on the impact of competitor orientation on EIC, that inter-functional coordination has a positive impact on SO, and that EIC mediates the relationship between SO and environmental sustainability performance.

The aim of this study is to explore the impact of Governance on Child Labor. We all know, child labor is most pressing issue in developing countries and illiteracy, less per capita income, malnutrition and lack of development has added the impact. In article, we discussed the types of Governance and explores some other factors which impede and promote the public sector responsibilities towards children. We also highlighted the methodologies of assessment and performance of governments as protectors of children rights according to international commitments i.e. SDG’s, In study, the dependent variable is Child Labor, while the independent variables are Governance, Population Growth Rate, Literacy Rate, Gross Domestic Product and Number of Schools. Time series data is used in range of 1990 to 2018. Augmented Dicky Fuller test is used to check the stationarity of the data. ARDL technique is applied on variables to check the long and short run relationship. The result shows an inverse relation between child labor and Governance, GDP, Literacy and number of schools as improvement in these indicators will decrease child labor. However, Population and child labor has a positive impact, by increasing population child labor will be increased. Impactful policies, good governance and better leadership are the only tools that can be helpful to tune child labor problem in developing countries.

We investigate in this paper the effect of financial development on innovation in emerging and developing countries. The estimation of panel threshold model for a sample 54 countries during the period 1980-2009 shows the presence of non linear effects in the relationship between financial development and innovation. We find a threshold value of economic development below which the financial development level has no significant impact on innovation and above which financial development has a significant positive impact on innovation. In sum, our findings suggest that the presence of a healthy economic environment is crucial for financial institutions to offer high-quality financial services, promoting more innovation.
