This study investigated the weakening model, law of mechanics parameters, and stability of the sliding zone soil associated with thrust-load-induced accumulation landslides triggered by rainfall infiltration. The spatial and morphological characteristics and rule of the sapping process were analyzed, considering the constitutive equation of the sliding zone soil, in order to establish a state curve equation for the weakening coefficient of sliding zone soil based on the “S”-shaped curve. Moreover, a formula for calculating slope stability with this failure mode was derived and applied to calculate the stability of a deformation body in Danbo reservoir, China. The results show that the sliding zone in this type of landslide exhibits steep upward and slow downward trends, and affected by rainfall infiltration, its failure develops gradually from the trailing edge to the front edge. In the constitutive equation, the weakening of soil mechanical parameters is manifested as the weakening of shear stiffness, while the “S”-shaped curve of the weakening coefficient reflects the spatial characteristics of the weakening process. The main factors affecting the accuracy of the slope stability calculation are the values of model parameters and assessment of the development characteristics and weakening stage of the sliding zone.

INTRODUCTION. Among systemic vasopathies in children, IgA vasculitis Henoch Schoenlein (HS) is the most common, according to various authors, kidney damage is noted in 25-80 % and usually determines the prognosis of the disease.THE AIM of the study was to analyze clinical, laboratory, immunological, morphological characteristics, features of the course and treatment of nephritis associated with IgA vasculitis HS in children, as well as factors affecting the prognosis.PATIENTS AND METHODS. The study included 31 patients with morphologically verified nephritis due to IgA vasculitis HS (18 – boys, 13 – girls) aged 3 to 17 years, who were monitored at the Nephrology Department of the "2nd Children's City Clinical Hospital" of the National Center for Pediatric Nephrology and Renal Replacement therapy in Minsk from 2010 to 2019 yrs.The following parameters were analyzed: the clinical variant of kidney damage, laboratory tests (including the study of BAFF, RANTES lymphocyte activation molecules, pro-inflammatory IL1β, caspase1, TNFα, growth factors VEGF, TGF), 24 hours monitoring and office blood pressure measurements, ECHO cardiography with indicescalculation, ultrasound of the carotid arteries with the thickness of intima-media complex, morphological changes in the renal tissue, as well as treatment regimens.RESULTS. The contribution of deGal-IgA1, markers of T and B lymphocytes activation, pro-inflammatory and profibrotic molecules in the development of the disease is shown. Arterial hypertension was registered in 42 % of children, signs of heart remodeling according to the calculated indices in 19,3 %. Decrease level of adiponectin, vitamin D, leptin, increase concentration of obestatin, Pro-BNP, hs-CRP, and TSAT indicator classify patients with nephritis due to IgA vasculitis HS at moderate risk for the developmentof cardio-vascular disorders, which suggests the need for timely correction.CONCLUSION. In most cases, nephritis with IgA vasculitis HS has a benign course with rare relapses and progression to the end stage of chronic kidney disease (6,5 %).

Coastal area constitutes a vulnerable environment and requires special attention to preserve ecosystems and human activities therein. To this aim, many studies have been devoted both in past and recent years to analyzing the main factors affecting coastal vulnerability and susceptibility. Among the most used approaches, the Coastal Vulnerability Index (CVI) accounts for all relevant variables that characterize the coastal environment dealing with: (i) forcing actions (waves, tidal range, sea-level rise, etc.), (ii) morphological characteristics (geomorphology, foreshore slope, dune features, etc.), (iii) socio-economic, ecological and cultural aspects (tourism activities, natural habitats, etc.). Each variable is evaluated at each portion of the investigated coast, and associated with a vulnerability level which usually ranges from 1 (very low vulnerability), to 5 (very high vulnerability). Following a susceptibility/vulnerability analysis of a coastal stretch, specific strategies must be chosen and implemented to favor coastal resilience and adaptation, spanning from hard solutions (e.g., groins, breakwaters, etc.) to soft solutions (e.g., beach and dune nourishment projects), to the relocation option and the establishment of accommodation strategies (e.g., emergency preparedness).

Deep learning methods have been shown to significantly improve the performance of building extraction from optical remote sensing imagery. However, keeping the morphological characteristics, especially the boundaries, is still a challenge that requires further study. In this paper, we propose a novel fully convolutional network (FCN) for accurately extracting buildings, in which a boundary learning task is embedded to help maintain the boundaries of buildings. Specifically, in the training phase, our framework simultaneously learns the extraction of buildings and boundary detection and only outputs extraction results while testing. In addition, we introduce spatial variation fusion (SVF) to establish an association between the two tasks, thus coupling them and making them share the latent semantics and interact with each other. On the other hand, we utilize separable convolution with a larger kernel to enlarge the receptive fields while reducing the number of model parameters and adopt the convolutional block attention module (CBAM) to boost the network. The proposed framework was extensively evaluated on the WHU Building Dataset and the Inria Aerial Image Labeling Dataset. The experiments demonstrate that our method achieves state-of-the-art performance on building extraction. With the assistance of boundary learning, the boundary maintenance of buildings is ameliorated.

Abstract. Most landslides in Korea are classified as shallow landslides with an average depth of less than 2 m. These shallow landslides are associated with the advance of a wetting front in the unsaturated soil due to rainfall infiltration, which results in an increase in water content and a reduction in the matric suction in the soil. Therefore, this study presents a modified equation of infinite slope stability analysis based on the concept of the saturation depth ratio to analyze the slope stability change associated with the rainfall on a slope. A rainfall infiltration test in unsaturated soil was performed using a column to develop an understanding of the effect of the saturation depth ratio following rainfall infiltration. The results indicated that the rainfall infiltration velocity due to the increase in rainfall in the soil layer was faster when the rainfall intensity increased. In addition, the rainfall infiltration velocity tends to decrease with increases in the unit weight of soil. The proposed model was applied to assess its feasibility and to develop a regional landslide susceptibility map using a Geographic Information System (GIS). For that purpose, the spatial databases for input parameters were constructed and landslide locations were obtained. In order to validate the proposed approach, the results of the proposed approach were compared with the landslide inventory using ROC (Receiver Operating Characteristics) graph. In addition, the results of the proposed approach were compared with the previous approach used steady state hydrological model. Consequently, the approach proposed in this study displayed satisfactory performance in classifying landslide susceptibility and showed better performance than the steady state approach.

In order to study the sensitivity of factors affecting the homogeneous building slope stability, the orthogonal test design method and shear strength reduction finite element method were used. The stability safety factor of the slope was used as the analysis index, and the range analysis of results of 18 cases were carried out. The results show that the order of sensitivity of slope stability factors is: internal friction angle, slope height, cohesion, slope angle, bulk density, elastic modulus, Poisson's ratio. The analysis results have reference significance for the design and construction of building slope projects.
