Lamb meat is quite valuable in terms of food and a popular type of meat. Therefore, increasing the volume of its production is becoming one of the most important problems, both in our country and abroad. Studies by many scientists have proved that the best is considered to be lamb at the age of lambs 6-8 months. The purpose of the researches was to study the possibility of increasing the meat productivity of young sheep of Edilbaevskaya breed and increasing the nutritional value of meat through the use of the probiotic drug Bacell. Scientific and production experiment in the study of meat productivity of Edilbaevskaya sheep breed using probiotic Bacell has been carried out in the APC “Vladimirovsky” in the Akhtubinsky district in the Astrakhan region. In order to evaluate the potential of meat productivity of young sheep in a commercial herd after lambing 3 groups of ewes with 2-week-old lambs have been formed: the control group of animals was reared using traditional technology adopted in the farm, the 1st experimental group was reared and fed intensively due to additional feeding of grain mixtures, the 2nd experimental group was reared similarly to the 1st experimental, but additionally received the probiotic drug Bacell. By the end of fattening (6 months) the difference in slaughter weight in favor of rams of the 2nd experimental group compared to the 1st experimental group was 2,3 % (P ≥ 0,95) and 4,1 % (P ≥ 0,99) compared to the control group. Also, there was an age-related increase in the slaughter yield, which was for the analyzed period in the rams of the 2nd experimental group by 1 abs.%, and in the 1st experimental group by 1,8 abs. %, in the control group by 2,6 abs. %. The profit has been received from the rams of the 2nd experimental group was at the age of 4 months – 3281,6 rubles, and it was higher than the profit from animals of the control and 1st experimental groups by 1093,2 and 828 rubles. At the age of 6 months this difference was 714,0 and 316,8 rubles. As a result of the conducted researches, the expediency of using probiotic Bacell as a feed additive in the rations of young sheep of Edilbaevskaya breed has been proved.

The purpose of the work was to study the influence of protein-vitamin-mineral additive and protein-vitamin-mineral concentrate on the growth, development and meat productivity of steers. Studies have been carried out on the rearing of steers when using the protein-vitamin-mineral additive based on extruded soybean with bentonite in the preweaning period and the protein-vitamin-mineral concentrate (with urea concentrate) when fattening steers. During the first research and production experiment in the calves of the 1st experimental group 30 % and in the bovine calves of the 2nd experimental group 40 % milk replacer have been replaced with a protein-mineral-vitamin additive. At the beginning of the experiment the calves of all groups had almost the same live weight. Starting from the age of 1,5 months the growth of the animals of the experimental groups began to prevail over the control group. Thus, the bull calves of the 1st experimental group at 2 months of age were larger than the control ones by 5,1 %, by the end of the experiment their superiority was 7,6 % (P < 0,01). The total gain in live weight of the bull calves of the 2nd experimental group was 9,4 % higher (P < 0,001) than in the control group. During the second research and production experiment on the use of protein-vitamin-mineral concentrate the difference in feeding was that the steers of the experimental group consumed complete feed, which included protein-vitamin-mineral concentrate (with urea concentrate) and bentonite. The gain in live weight of calves for 5 months of experiment in the control group was 136,7 kg, and in the experimental group it was 11,4 % more. The expenditures of feed per 1 kg of gain in EFU were by 10,1 % lower in the experimental group compared to the control group. The level of profitability of beef production in the control group was 16,1 %, and in the experimental group it was 26,5 %, which was more by 10,4 abs.%.

The experiment has been carried out on a crossbred stock of young pigs in the period 2015–2017 under the conditions of JSC CHC “Krasnodonskoe” in the Ilovlinsky district in the Volgograd region. The purpose of the research was to study the effectiveness of the effect of the anti-stress drug Feed-Food Magic Antistress Mix in intensive pig rearing on the productive traits and quality of the products obtained, as well as the estimated economic indicators. In order to conduct a scientific and economic experiment at the age of 60 days young pigs were divided into 2 experimental groups (control and experimental) according to the principle of pair analogs. Each group contained 25 heads. The difference between the control and experimental groups was that the animals in the control group have received the main diet, and the experimental group has received the anti-stress drug Feed-Food Magic Antistress Mix in addition to the main diet. In the experimental group of pigs when this drug was administered in the age 180 days the live weight parameter was higher than in the control group by 1,55 kg. Clinical indicators of young pigs were within the physiological norm. The pre-slaughter weight in the experimental group has increased by 4,86 % compared to the control group. Due to the use of an anti-stress drug the slaughter weight of animals in the experimental group has increased by 6,69 %. In comparison with the control group the slaughter yield in the experimental group has increased by 1,18 %, in which this indicator was at the level of 67,62 %. The morphological composition of carcasses in animals of the experimental group was also improved. Meat yield has increased by 0,95 %. The yield of fat and bones has decreased by 0,59 and 0,36 %. The weight of internal organs was also superior in the experimental group of pigs. Due to the use of the anti-stress drug the level of profitability in the experimental group of animals has increased by 11,69 %.

The purpose of the research was a comparative study of the efficiency of feed use and the productivity of young sheep at different feeding levels, as well as clarifying the norms of metabolic energy and raw protein for growing young rams of Romanov breed with intensive rearing and fattening at the age of 3 to 10 months. Scientifi c and economic experiment has been carried out in the sheep breeding complex of the breeding farm in the OOO Farm “Pokrov” in the Zubtsovsky area in the Tver region. After weaning of sheep at the age of 3 months, 2 groups of young rams and 2 groups of young ewes have been formed, from twin litters per 15 heads in each. It has been found that the intensity of the growth of young rams was higher at both levels of rearing and fattening. The young rams of the 1st control group grew by 16,61 kg during the experimental feeding period, and the young ewes by 9,62 kg. In animals of the 2nd experimental group, the difference was 5,52 kg or 32,8 % in favor of the young rams. All indicators of the slaughter of young rams, depending on the level of feeding diff ered significantly. Thus, the difference in removable weight was 5,77 kg or 17,7 % in favor of animals of the 2nd experimental group. The difference between the groups by pre-slaughter weight was 5,74 kg or 19,2 % (P ≤ 0,001). By weight of the hot carcass, the sheep of the 2nd experimental group significantly exceeded the 1st control group by 2,82 kg or 21,3 % (P ≤ 0,01), by slaughter weight the difference was 3,97 kg or 29,0 % (P ≤ 0,01). The slaughter yield increased from 45,7 to 49,5 % or 3,8 abs.%. Age affects the efficiency of mutton production. Thus, the cost of 1 kg of mutton did not diff er from 7-month-old and 10–month-old rams, and feed expenditures increased significantly, therefore the prime-cost of mutton in older animals also increased, and the profitability of production decreased. Therefore, the slaughter of animals and the sale of mutton under intensive rearing is more effective at the age of 7 months.

Abstract. The purpose of the research was to develop a method for increasing the meat productivity of sheep under various housing systems. Methods. All studies were conducted according to generally accepted methods. The experimental population of rams of the control and experimental groups was kept until the age of 3 months together with ewes on the pasture (suckling period) with further weaning at the age of 3 months. Further, the rams were divided according to the technologies of keeping: the control group – pasture (graziery), and the experimental group – indoor maintenance (fattening) up to 4 months of age, followed by control slaughter. Monthly weighing of the experimental young rams livestock was carried out. Results. The research work showed that the use of this technological method significantly contributed in increasing average gain and live weight, respectively, by 6.6 % (20 g) and 5.7 % (2.3 kg) and as a result, slaughter weight – by 9.2 % (1.6 kg) in young rams from the experimental group in comparison with analogues of the control group. Chemical, amino acid and microstructural analyses of samples of the longissimus of the livestock showed that the specimens of the young rams of the experimental group had the best food and market advantages. The efficiency of using this technological method is also confirmed by the calculated economic indicators – the difference in the level of profitability was 7.9 % in favor of the rams of the experimental group. The scientific novelty of the research work is a detailed study of the indicators of meat productivity under the influence of this technological method with the justification of its application and the introduction of both scientific and practical contributions to the development of sheep farming.

The possibility of including SUB-PRO probiotic instead of Maxus G feed antibiotic in the diet of broiler chickens of Ross 308 cross was studied to obtain products free of drugs for antimicrobial resistance usage. The dynamics of live weight and carcass weight of cockerels at 1-, 21-, 28-, 34-, 38- and 42-days old was determined. The males of the control group (group 1) reached live weight of 2619 ± 44.9, experimental - 2739 ± 46.2 or more by 4.38%, at P≤0.05 by 42 days of age, and those which received feed antibiotic ( group 3) - 2677 ± 45.1 (further, meat productivity of the latter was not studied, since they are not of practical importance). The mass of carcasses of the experimental group was equal to 1704 ± 23.1 g, which is 4.60% more than the control, at P≤0.05; the relative mass of muscle tissue increased with age by 10.78% in the experimental group in comparison with the 1-day -olds, in the control group - by 10.0%, whereas the mass of bones decreased by 16.75 and 16.59%, respectively (by the difference); the diameter of muscle fibers of superficial pectoral muscle of 42-day-old broilers of the experimental group increased with age by 6.94 times and amounted to 57.9 μm; in terms of microbiological parameters, carcass meat meets the requirements of the interstate standard GOST 31468—2012. At the age of 42 days, cockerels of the control group showed dystrophic changes in the superficial pectoral muscle in the form of an expansion of the endomysium diameter, with the accumulation of interfiber fluid (albuminous degeneration), while some cockerels of the experimental group have fibers with vacuoles and infiltration by immunocompetent cells (leukocytes, phagocytes). Adding SUB-PRO probiotic in the broilers’ diet instead of the feed antibiotic does not reduce productivity, but excludes the negative consequences of feed antibiotics.

The effectiveness of the use of sulfate and the mixed zinc ligand complex Zinc and the effect of their feeding on the slaughter indicators of broilers of the Cobb-500 cross were studied after the completion of scientific and economic experience and control slaughter conducted in the premises of the vivarium of the Bila Tserkva National Agricultural University. The difference in feeding conditions between the groups was that for the poultry of the first group, depending on age, compound feed was prepared using zinc sulfate in a dose corresponding to the introduction of 60, 50 and 40 g of element per 1 ton of feed (control), for the second - using a mixed zinc ligand complex at a dose that also corresponds to the introduction of 60, 50 and 40 g of element per 1 ton, and for the third - using a zinc mixed mixed ligand complex at a dose corresponding to the introduction of 45, 37.5 and 30 g. Zinc concentration in the mixed fodder decreased as the age of birds increased. The control slaughter, which has been carried out after the experiment, shows that the different dose use of Sulphate and Zinc mixed ligand complex differently influences on the slaughter characteristics of the control and experimental bird groups. Thus, the largest pre-slaughter weight (2649.3 g) of broiler chicks of the 3rd group is (p <0.01) if they consume mixed fodder with a mixed ligand complex of Zinc at doses corresponding to the adding of 45, 37.5 and 30 g of the element per 1 ton of mixed fodder. The pre-slaughter weight of the 2nd group, which has consumed mixed fodder with Zinc mixed ligand complex at a dose corresponding to adding 60, 50 and 40 g of the element per 1 ton of feed is also higher than in the control group (2549.3 g). But the probable difference for this index is not established. In general, the pre-slaughtered weight of the 2nd and 3rd group is higher than the weight of the the control group, respectively by 4.6 and 8.7 %. Regarding the mass of the gutted carcass, it was also greater in the birds of the 2nd and 3rd experimental groups, and the difference was significant. An analysis of the relative indicators of the yield of slaughter products showed that they were better in poultry that consumed compound feeds with a mixed zinc ligand complex. So, the output of a half-gutted carcass was the largest among broilers of the 3rd experimental group (84.19 %), and the difference in this indicator compared with the control was significant (p <0.05). Chickens of the 2nd and 3rd experimental groups showed a tendency to increase the output of the pectoral muscles, muscles of the limbs, skin, lungs and heart. The results of scientific and economic experience have shown that feeding compound feed with the mixed zinc ligand complex, in comparison with sulfate, can improve the slaughter quality and yield of edible carcasses. The relative index analysis of the slaughter products reveals that the poultry fed on Zinc mixed ligand complex, has better result. Thus, the yield of a semi-eviscerated carcass is the highest in broiler chicks of the experimental group № 3 (84.19 %), and the difference in this characteristics has been compared with the control group (p <0.05). There is an output increasing tendency of the thoracic muscles, limb muscles, skin, lung and heart in the 2nd and 3rd experimental group. But the probable difference of these indexes in the control and experimental groups has not been established, except for the heart output. Thus, it can be concluded that broiler chicks fed on fodder with Zinc mixed ligand complex, in comparison with Sulfate one, makes it possible to improve the slaughter characteristics and the yield of edible parts of the carcass, and the optimum dose is equivalent to 37.5 g of the element per 1 ton of the feed. Key words: broiler chickens, pre-slaughter weight, slaughter yield, carcass weight, mass of internal organs, Zinc mixed ligand complex, Zinc sulfate.

A series of scientific and economic experiments have already been conducted to determine the norms for including local non-traditional feed additives in the rations of cattle, but they were not sufficient for the rational use of these feed additives. In order to determine the effectiveness of the use of local feed additives a scientific and economic experiment has been carried out under the environments of the APC “Krestyakh” in the Suntarsky district. Two groups of first-calf heifers have been selected per 50 heads in each. The groups have been formed by using the method of analogues. The environments of housing in all groups have been the same. The difference was that the experimental group of first-calf heifers have received from the local unconventional feed additives (zeolite khongurin, sapropel and Kempendyaskay salt). The results of the production test have shown that the experimental group of first-calf heifers exceeded the control group’s analogues in terms of milk yield by 233,4 kg or 9,4 %. Experimental group of first-calf heifers has had more high content of fat in milk 0,17 abs.%. When recalculating the content of fat in milk for 4 %, the difference in gross milk yield between the groups was 16,73 t or 14,3 % in favor of the experimental group. Economic analysis of the results of research and production experiment has shown that there was a significant difference in profit between the groups. So, in the control group it was 462 247,46 rubles, and in the experimental group 528 444,43 rubles. Additional profit in the experimental group was equal to 66 196,97 rubles, while the level of profitability was 8,2 %. Thus, the results of the research have shown that first-calf heifers of Simmental breed that received local non-traditional feed additives had higher milk productivity.

Reasil® Humic Vet is a liquid water-soluble feed additive with complex action. The aim of our research was to study the effect of the liquid feed additive "Reasil® Humic Vet" on the productive qualities and the digestibility of nutrients in compound feed by laying hens. The drug was drunk for 14 days with a break between courses of 7 days at a dose of 0.25, 0.50 and 0.75 ml / 1 liter of water. The highest egg production was obtained in chickens, the second experimental group -84.69%. The weight of 1 egg in this group also turned out to be higher than -63, 10 g. All this led to an increase in the egg weight to 31.09 kg, while reducing feed costs to 2.17 kg. The digestibility of organic matter in the experimental groups was 75.45, 75.44 and 75.37%, which is significantly higher than in the control group by 0.66, 0, 67 and 0.59%, respectively (P <0.05). The drug used with a high degree of reliability stimulated an increase in the digestibility coefficients of protein, fat, fiber (P <0.01) in chickens from 1 and 2 experimental groups. Increasing the amount of the supplement to the maximum dose did not significantly affect protein digestibility. Fat, fiber and dry matter in general in the 3rd experimental group had digestibility coefficients, the difference of which with those of the control group was confirmed by biometric processing (P <0.05 and 0.01).

Currently it has become popular to use different feed additives that allow us to increase the indicators of live weight gain by accelerating the metabolic processes in the body of animals, which allows us to take everything from the feed and to the maximum. With the advent of this trend in the market the range of feed additives in different directions has increased. For the research we have selected Vermiculite Expanded as a feed additive. The purpose of the research was to search the dynamics of changes in blood parameters in experimental steers in comparison with the control group against the background of the use of the feed additive Vermiculite Expanded. An assessment of blood parameters of Kazakh White-headed steers against the background of the use of mineral feed additive has been presented in the article. Three groups of steers have been formed for the research: the 1st group has been as a control and received the main economic ration; the 2nd and 3rd experimental groups received the feed additive to the main feeding ration in doses of 10 and 15 g/head for the groups, respectively. On the laboratory base blood tests we were able to search the correlation between morphological and biochemical parameters of blood and the growth rate of experimental steers. The steers of the 2nd and 3rd groups during the experiment had an advantage in blood serum indicators in terms of both total lipids and glucose, in the end, the difference in percentage ratio with the control group was 14,08 % in the 2nd group and 12,60 % in the 3rd experimental group. It is worth noting that the concentration of phosphorus and calcium in the blood was at the high level, which in our opinion reflects the influence of the feed additive Vermiculite Expanded.
