METHOLOGICAL PROPOSAL TO STIMULATE FLEXIBILITY AS A AN ATTRIBUTE OF THE CREATIVE POTENTIALITIES OF STUDENTS THROUGH MATHEMATICAL CONTENTS ABSTRACT The investigation is intended to stimulate flexibility as an attribute of the creative potentialities of students through the mathematical contents, in the course of the teaching learning process in the Rural Pre University Institute “Ismael Ricondo Fernández”, at the municipality of Sagua de Tánamo in Holguín province. Starting from the initial diagnosis of the development of flexibility as an attribute of the creative potentialities of the students in the process of learning Mathematics in High School Education, a new proposal is offered; it is supported on the historic cultural approach which links the learning process of the Mathematics with the sociocultural context. General methodological indications of Mathematics emphasize the need to systematize knowledge, abilities and forms of the mental activity (logical, heuristic and meta-cognitive procedures) through a systemic, varied and differentiated planning of the tasks assigned to the students, that takes into account their needs and individual interests and that stimulates their independence and creativity, but the way to achieve it is not explicit, that is the need and importance of this work. KEYWORDS: Stimulation; creative potentialities; development; teaching learning.

Abstract   Mathematics in Cuban Senior High School require students with capacity to face and solve problems, and they should be relevant and should respond to social needs (learning how to do), (learning to be), (How to Live Together), and (How to Learn). This certainly means developing creativity from school, because the appropriation of knowledge can be useless, if you do not know how to use it in order to grow up as a person and to deal with today and future problems, effectively and creatively. This paper is aimed to stimulate the development of creativity, particularly the flexibility of thought from pre-university students. This epistemological study allowed revealing theoretical and methodological limitations in theoretical assumptions that support the subject of study, and proposing ideas aimed to overcome these limitations. Starting from the analysis of the theoretical foundations of creativity and different approaches for their study, a characterization of the concept of creativity is made and its regularities are determined within a socio-cultural environment in the teaching-learning process of Mathematics in Cuban High School Education. The learning approach theoretically supported, takes as a practical referent the learning process of mathematics in the IPUEC "Ricondo Ismael Fernandez", in the municipality of Sagua de Tánamo Holguin.   Key words: stimulation, creativity, creative potential, creative approach, teaching and learning.

A conducive learning situation is essential in learning English. However, one problem that usually disturbs the learning situation is the appearance of disruptive behavior. Students' disruptive behavior is an inappropriate behavior conducted by students during the learning process which turns the classroom into unconducive. Exactly, there are several factors contribute to the occurrence of disruptive behavior in the English lesson, especially on senior high school students. Thus, the current study was a case study aimed to investigate several causes of students' disruptive behavior in English teaching-learning process in the classroom. The subjects of this study consisted of an English teacher and a class of twelfth-grade students in a small town in Indonesia. The data were collected using observation and interview. The result of this study showed that students' disruptive behavior in the English classroom was caused by internal factor and external factor. Feeling boredom, feeling anxiety, and seeking attention were internal factor that became the occurrence of disruptive behavior. While fatigue was the external factor that causes the emergence of students' disruptive behavior in the English teaching-learning process in the classroom.             Keywords Disruptive Behavior, English Classroom, Senior High School Students, Teachers’ Management

Knowing the g-value of acceleration of gravity is of paramount importance in various analyzes, and there are several ways of obtaining it experimentally. Here, searching for resources that are easy to apply in high school classrooms, the authors opted for the observation of a simple pendulum, performing a series of measurements of the pendulum period and applying them to the equations (appropriately manipulated for this experiment) of this oscillatory movement. The experiment was carried out in four steps: one with a mass of 10 grams and three with a mass of 20 grams; two with ten swings, one with fifteen and one with twenty. As a result, four values of local acceleration were estimated, which were compared, using the theory of errors, with the value made available in the literature. With these data, the feasibility of using this device in the teaching-learning process was verified, given its ease of handling and assembly, its low cost and its negligible error with the value of the literature.

Abstract There are still a few handouts created by the teachers. In fact, teachers feel lazy to make a handout to succeed their teaching and learning process, especially civic teachers who are still low in understanding how to make and design their own handout. A handout is an instrument that teachers supposed to writing it. By writing a handout, teacher can explore his material based on the problems faced in the class. That is way; the Team thought that we need to give them something to train them in writing their own teaching handout. This community service was given to civic teachers of senior high school who has the important role in tranfering knowledge about civic subject. This activity had some sessions, there were; lecturing, discussion, questions answer and feedback. It hopes that by understanding the way in designing a teaching handout, they will be encouraged to make their own handout to support their teaching learning process in the classroom. ?é?á Key words : a teaching handout, a civic subject ?é?á

Colleges in Saudi Arabia receive many college applicants with all sorts of high-school education, knowledge and skills. A large percentage of these applicants have a weak background in the English language, math and science. As a result, most Saudi Universities have a precollege year labeled the preparatory year. During this year accepted applicants are scrutinized to weed out the less qualified, and prepare those with limited deficiencies for college. It is important for a freshman to acknowledge his/her lacking and or lagging in any of the mentioned fields above. Such recognition facilitates the learning process for those who realize their deficiencies. This paper presents samples of a course structure that meets the needs of those with inadequate background in all or two of the three mentioned subjects. The paper offers examples of two curriculum courses in the two main topics, English and math, and suggests a basic curriculum set of courses for the physics discipline. The first semester introduces fundamental material in the two subjects, with more in depth intermediate courses in the second semester. The paper presents a few simple examples for both semesters.

The students are the best witnesses to how the teachers perform their instructional duties. Students develop particular expectations to teaching style preferences. This study investigates the students’ self-assessments of their teaching style preferences against their observed teaching styles that their year level teachers have used and determined the relevance of Teeters’ (2001) teaching style model. Teeters’ (2001) instructor style inventory was used to collect data from 114 high school students of an academy in Valencia, Bukidnon, Philippines. Results revealed that the students highly preferred all the teaching styles. Students in different year levels also rated their teachers’ safe, stimulating, spontaneous, and systematic teaching styles moderate and high. Significant differences in all the students’ observed teaching styles were found between the year levels. Teaching styles with “no difference” and “there is difference” depend on the year levels. School administrators and teachers in this academy may consider the viability of Teeters’ teaching style model in their teaching-learning processes. Keywords: Education, teaching styles, teaching-learning process, Teeter’s teaching stylemodel, Bukidnon, Philippines

To be good a teacher, a teacher must incessantly improve her/his teaching practice and skill/knowledge to produce and keep the academic quality. Mechanically, a teacher requires to concern a particular method/ technique or strategy and use a certain tool/type to fulfill the benchamark of excellence in teaching. Hence, reflection is substantial as one of the indispensable approaches that can be practiced to direct teacher’s performance becomes more experienced. In teaching, the term reflection refers to the opportunity of teachers to think back critically after the teaching-learning process. Previous studies that have been conducted to observe the efficiency of teacher journal in the education field. Conversely, only a few kinds research explored teacher’s perceptions toward the utilization of the teacher’s journal. Likewise, this research was located in Indonesia and engage an in-service EFL teacher of Junior High School to accomplish the gap. It intended at determining the parts reflected from the teacher journal. Moreover, to investigate the research problems, the researcher used an in-depth interview to explore the teacher’s experience in utilizing teacher diary. Consequently, this study employed a qualitative method since it was considered as the appropriate design to accomplish the research. The researcher concluded that the teacher has a positive perceptions related to the teacher’s diary/teacher’s journal. It gives precious involvement for English teachers to be more experienced and professional to help students in mastering English skills and help the teacher to do reflection in order to make a better teaching practice for the next English teaching.
