Employee’s job performance is considered to be very key variable effecting organizational performance. In today’s hypercompetitive world global economy business need to try identifying the factors that has effect on employee’s performance, and psychological capital and emotional intelligence are amongst them. Consequently the main aim of the study was to find out the relationship of psychological capital and emotional intelligence on employee’s job performance in Public sector Universities of Peshawar. In order to obtain the required objectives, a sample of 170 respondents was selected randomly through proportional allocation method. Well-structured questionnaire was used to collect the data. For checking the reliability of data, Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was used. The results quantified that the collected data is reliable as coefficient of Cronbach’s alpha is greater than 0.70 for psychological capital and emotional intelligence. For employee performance the reliability measures was less than 70%.MAS were greater than 3 for most of studied attributes showing that employees are in favor of effect of psychological capital and emotional intelligence on employee’s performance. The results of Chi-square showed a significant (P < 0.05) association between psychological capital and employee performance and also emotional intelligence and employee performance. Grounded on the results, it is determined that psychological capital and emotional intelligence are significantly associated with employee’s performance.

The purpose of this study are: 1. To explain the presence or absence of influence of leadership style, work motivation and work discipline on the performance of employees Public Works Department and Spatial Planning Padang City. 2. Measuring the magnitude of the influence of leadership style, organizational culture and organizational commitment to the performance of employees of Public Works and Spatial Planning Padang City. This research was conducted in August 2017 at Public Works Department and Spatial Planning of Padang City The samples used in this study were 83 respondents. The independent variable in this research is Leadership Style (X1), Work Motivation (X2) and Work Discipline (X3). The dependent variable is Employee Performance (Y) Data collection techniques are questionnaires. Data analysis techniques using Descriptive Analysis and Inferential Analysis. To know the influence of independent variable to dependent variable partially, used t test. While to know the influence of independent variable to dependent variable simultaneously, used F test. The assumption used in validity test is if R-count&gt; R-table item declared valid. The R-arithmetic shown in the table above, from each item indicates that R-arithmetic&gt; R-table so the item is declared valid. Leadership Style (X1), Work Motivation (X2), Work Discipline (X3) and Performance (Y) Valid. All of the research variables had Cronbach's alpha values above 0.70 and thus expressed reliably or reliably. The value of Cronbach's alpha variable Leadership Style (X1) is 0.857, Job Motivation (X2) is 0.813, Job Discipline (X3) is 0.736, and the performance variable (Y) is 0.844. In the hypothesis testing of the study found the result that the significance value of leadership style variable (X1) is with the value (sign β = 0,049, p &lt;0,05), Work Motivation variable (X2) with value (sign β = 0.001 p &lt;0.05) , and Work Discipline variable (Y) with value (sign β = 0,041 p &lt;0,05). With the finding of sign β above mentioned, it is stated that Leadership Style (X1), Work Motivation (X2) and Work Discipline (X3) have a significant effect on performance (Y) of Public Works and Spatial Planning Official of Padang City. The magnitude of the influence of the three variables on the performance of employees of Public Works Department and Spatial Planning Padang City is 27.8% (R2 = 0.278).

ABSTRACTThis study aims to examine the effect of work motivation and work environment on employee performance. The method used in research with a questionnaire. The sample of the study may be 50 respondents. Statistical tests were performed using PLS-based Structural Equation Modeling. The validity test uses the loading factor value, while the reliability uses the Cronbach's alpha value, composite reliability and Average Variance Extracted (AVE). The conclusion of this study is the influence of work motivation and work environment on employee performance. Performance is the work result in quality and quantity that can be achieved by an employee in carrying out the task in accordance with the given responsibility. In order for employee performance to be consistent, it is necessary to identify the factors that influence performance, including work motivation, work discipline and work environment.Keywords: Work Motivation, Work Discipline, Work Environment, Employee PerformanceABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh motivasi disiplin kerja dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pengaruh motivasi disiplin kerja dan lingkungan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan. Kinerja adalah hasil kerja secara kualitas dan kuantitas yang dapat dicapai oleh seorang karyawan dalam melaksanakan tugas sesuai dengan tanggung jawab yang diberikan. Agar kinerja karyawan selalu konsisten maka harus mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja antara lain adalah motivasi kerja, disiplin kerja dan lingkungan kerja.Kata Kunci : Motivasi Kerja, Disiplin Kerja, Lingkungan Kerja, Kinerja Karyawan

Pendahuluan: Pengunjung berpotensi dalam menyebarkan infeksi di rumah sakit. Mencuci tangan merupakan salah satu cara yang efektif untuk mengurangi penyebaran infeksi tersebut. Perilaku mencuci tangan dipengaruhi oleh pengetahuan. Pengunjung yang memiliki pengetahuan yang baik diharapkan memiliki perilaku yang baik agar penyebaran infeksi dari pengunjung kepada pasien tidak terjadi. Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan dengan perilaku mencuci tangan pengunjung pasien di satu rumah sakit. Metode: Desain penelitian adalah kuantitatif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi penelitian adalah pengunjung pasien di tiga ruang rawat inap dengan sampel sebanyak 63 pengunjung yang menggunakan accidental sampling dengan kriteria inklusi yaitu pengunjung berusia 18-60 tahun dan bersedia menjadi responden penelitian. Instrumen berupa kuesioner yang dibuat sendiri oleh peneliti dan telah dilakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Kuesioner tingkat pengetahuan dengan r hitung 0,409–0,738 dan nilai Cronbach’s alpha 0,705 sedangkan kuesioner perilaku mencuci tangan dengan r hitung 0,484–0,870 dan nilai Cronbach’s alpha 0,756. Hasil: Sebagian besar responden (73.02%) memiliki tingkat pengetahuan yang tinggi dan lebih dari setengah responden (55.55%) menunjukkan perilaku cuci tangan yang baik. Analisa data dengan uji chi-square didapatkan ada hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan perilaku mencuci tangan pengunjung (p=0,049; OR=3,12, α=0,05). Kesimpulan: Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan tingkat pengetahuan memiliki hubungan yang positif dengan perilaku mencuci tangan pengunjung di satu rumah sakit swasta Indonesia tengah.

Alat ukur Orientasi Pembelajaran Matematik (OPM) digunakan untuk mengukur tingkah laku individu berdasarkan lima gagasan iaitu sikap pembelajaran, kebimbangan, tabiat pembelajaran, tingkah laku penyelesaian masalah dan persekitaran pembelajaran dalam Matematik. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kesahan, kebolehpercayaan, skala dan hubungan antara gagasan OPM berdasarkan alat ukur “The Study Orientation Questionnaire in Mathematics”(SOM) yang diubahsuai. Kajian ini menggunakan 76 item daripada SOM dengan tambahan sebanyak 17 item untuk mengakses atribut afektif dalam kalangan pelajar. Seramai 195 pelajar tingkatan empat dipilih daripada sebuah sekolah menengah di negeri Kedah yang terdiri daripada 86 (44%) adalah lelaki dan 109 (56%) adalah perempuan. Dari segi kesahan alat ukur OPM (93 item), metod back translation digunakan. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan SPSS versi 12 bagi mengukur kesahan gagasan, ujian Chi-Square (Bartlett ’s Test of Sphericity) dan Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) dan ujian kebolehpercayaan (Cronbach’s alpha). Bagi skala LIKERT, WINSTEP versi 3.48 digunakan untuk menentukan bentuk respons yang dikehendaki. Dapatan kajian ini menunjukkan kelima-lima gagasan OPM mempunyai nilai kebolehpercayaan melebihi 0.7. Kesemua gagasan mempunyai hubungan antara satu sama lain dan ini menunjukkan keteguhan untuk mengukur OPM. Skala LIKERT yang pada mulanya mempunyai lima pilihan (12345) dij adikan empat pilihan (12245) dengan menggunakan step measures at interaction. Ini menunjukkan pilihan 3 (tidak pasti) terlindung di bawah pilihan 2 (tidak setuju) adalah respon yang berkadaran yang sama. Kajian ini berjaya membina alat ukur OPM yang mengandungi 72 item. Alat ukur ini telah memenuhi kriteria-kriteria psikometrik seperti kesahan, kebolehpercayaan, skala dan hubungan antara gagasan OPM untuk mengakses gagasan afektif pelajar dalam 58 pembelajaran Matematik. Oleh itu OPM dapat digunakan oleh guru, kaunselor dan pengetua untuk mengakses OPM dalam memahami atribut afektif pelajar dalam pembelajaran matematik.

The purpose of this research is to reveal of cyclist, reasons and benefits of using bicycle. In this regard, 110 female (Mage= 30.46, SD= 8.78) and 496 male (Myaş= 30.47; SD= 10.12), who were totally 606 cyclist selected by using convenience sampling sampling method, participated in the research voluntarily. In order to determine the reasons and benefits of cycling, personal information form and a three-section-questionnaire, which was prepared by the researcher were used in the research. In the data analysis, frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, X2-Chi Square and Cronbach's Alpha internal consistency coefficient tests were used. Participants have stated the reasons as traveling, having interest in cycling, and staying healthy, and they have stated the benefits as feeling healthier, stronger, happier, and overcoming daily stress. As a result, the higher the income and education level get, the less people participate cycling. Also, it has been observed that single people have more positive attitude towards cycling compared to married people. In addition to this, gender, working status and duration have no effect on individuals' participate cycling. ÖzetBu araştırmanın amacı; Türkiye’deki bisiklet kullanıcılarının bisiklet kullanma nedenlerini ve bisiklet kullanımının sağladığı faydaları ortaya koyabilmektir. Bu amaçla kolayda örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak seçilen 110 kadın (Myaş= 30.46, SD= 8.78) ve 496 erkek (Myaş= 30.47; SD= 10.12) olmak üzere 606 bisiklet kullanıcısı araştırmaya gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Araştırmada kişisel bilgi formu, katılımcıları bisiklet kullanma nedenleri ve katılımcıların bisiklet kullanımı sonucunda elde ettikleri faydaları ortaya koymak amacıyla araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanmış üç bölümden oluşan anket kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde frekans, yüzde, ortalama, standart sapma, Ki-Kare (X2-Chi Square) ve Cronbach’s Alpha iç tutarlık katsayısı testlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Katılımcılar bisiklet kullanma nedenlerini, gezmek, bisiklet sporunu sevmek ve sağlığı korumak olarak belirtirken, elde ettikleri faydaları ise daha sağlıklı ve güçlü hissetmek, daha mutlu hissetmek ve günün stresini atmak olarak belirtmişlerdir. Sonuç olarak gelir düzeyi ve eğitim düzeyinin artması bisiklet kullanımına yönelik olumlu görüşleri azaltırken, bekarların görüşlerinin evlilere göre daha olumlu olduğu görülmüştür. Bununla birlikte cinsiyet, çalışma durumu ve bisiklet kullanma süresi bireylerin bisiklet kullanımını etkilememektedir.

Aim: This article presents the cultural adaptation and evaluation of the psychometric properties of the Polish versions of the Pain Coping Questionnaire for both children and parents. Materials & methods: The study involved children aged 12–17 years (n = 220), who experienced trauma-related pain, and their parents (n = 220). Results: In the questionnaire for children and parents, the Kaisera-Mayera-Olkina (KMO) measure of sample adequacy was 0.457 and 0.455, whereas Bartlett’s test of sphericity: Chi-square = 1523.93, p < 0.001 and Chi-square = 1325.31, p < 0.001, returned a statistically significant result. Cronbach’s alpha for the factors identified in both groups was between 0.833 and 0.904. Conclusion: The linguistic adaptation has shown that the Polish version of the Pain Coping Questionnaire meets the psychometric criteria for reliability and accuracy of the tool.

ABSTRACT Objective To explore the dimensionality of the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) among Colombian college students. Methods A validation study was designed, involving the participation of a sample of 786 health science students (medicine, nursing, and psychology) aged between 18 and 27 (M=20.0, SD = 1.9). The participants completed the 21-item BDI. Internal consistency was calculated (Cronbach's alpha and McDonald's omega) and dimensionality was demonstrated using factorial confirmatory analysis (CFA). Results The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) measure of sampling adequacy was high (0.898) and the Bartlett's sphericity test gave excellent results (chi-square = 3,102.60; df = 210; p < 0.001). One-, two- and three-dimensional models were used. The unidimensional model performed best, representing 24.8% of the total variance, high internal consistency, a Cronbach's alpha of 0.83 and a McDonald's omega of 0.84. However, the CFA did not fit adequately (chi-square = 583.79; df = 189; p < 0.001, RMSEA = 0.052, CI 90% 0.047-0.056, CFI = 0.87, TLI = 0.85 and SMSR = 0.04). Conclusions The best factor solution for the BDI is given by the unidimensional model, which presents high internal consistency. However, its adjustment in the CFA is not acceptable.

<p>This study aimed to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and psychological empowerment of police staffs of NAJA Special Unit in Isfahan province. The present study was an applied research in terms of purpose and a descriptive correlational research in terms of method. The population of the study included Special Unit Command of NAJA in Isfahan province. The sample size was 336 people using Morgan’s table. Data were collected through Spiterz (1995)’s psychological empowerment questionnaire and Nobari’s (2008) operational model of emotional intelligence. The validity of the questionnaires was confirmed by experts. The reliability of the questionnaires was confirmed using Cronbach’s alpha. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficients were 0.91 and 0.80 for psychological empowerment and emotional intelligence questionnaires, respectively. The data were analyzed Pearson correlation test and regression analysis. The results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between responsibility, flexibility, and decisiveness, and psychological empowerment of police staffs of NAJA Special Units in Isfahan province. According to regression analysis, responsibility, flexibility, and decisiveness had the highest impact on psychological empowerment, respectively.</p>

With the emergence of latest technologies, manual and routine asks have been changed, ultimately it is the human abilities that will make the organizations successful as human element can never be denied. That is why organizations are concerned about the performance of their employees since their job performance directly affects the overall performance of the organization. Thus current study is proposing predictors that can enhance job performance of the employees. Taking clues from past researches, current research proposed a conceptual framework connecting three independent variables i.e. emotional intelligence, psychological capital and proactive personality to the dependent variable job performance. It has also been proposed that the relationship between aforementioned variables will consider to be more complete with the mediating role of work engagement, hence work engagement is proposed as  mediator.

Banten adalah provinsi paling barat Indonesia yang kaya akan potensi sumber daya alam akan tetapi belum memiliki kualitas sumber daya manusia yang cukup untuk mengelola potensi tersebut. Rendahnya kualitas SDM Banten menyebabkan provinsi ini menjadi provinsi dengan tingkat pengangguran tertinggi kedua di Indonesia.  Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah: 1) Menghasilkan Model Pengukuran Service Quality yang khusus untuk Perguruan Tinggi; 2) Mengukur, menggambarkan, serta membandingkan tingkat kualitas perguruan tinggi di Provinsi Banten; 3) Mengidentifikasi kelemahan dan kekuatan service quality masing-masing perguruan tinggi.[D1]  Urgensi  penelitian ini adalah: 1) membantu penyelenggara pendidikan tinggi di Banten memperkuat keunggulan bersaing mereka melalui peningkatan Service Quality; 2) Membantu Perguruan Tinggi melihat posisi persaingan berdasarkan Indeks Service Quality; 3) Membantu perguruan tinggi di Banten, baik PTN dan PTS mengevaluasi kualitas pendidikan mereka untuk perbaikan dan perencanaan strategi pemasaran guna menciptakan keunggulan bersaing.  Desain penelitian survei digunakan untuk mendapatkan data yang akan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, Correlation, Cronbach’s alpha dan Chi-Square tests. Kuesioner disebar kepada 800 mahasiswa dari delapan perguruan tinggi di lima Kota/Kabupaten di Banten yaitu Serang, Cilegon, Pandeglang, Lebak dan Tangerang. Hasil analisis berupa indeks Sevice Quality delapan Perguruan Tinggi di Banten, baik PTN maupun PTS disajikan dalam artikel ilmiah ini.
