Vlog is one of the popular technology or social media which can be used as an instructional. According to Parker and Preiffer (2005) that vlog is currents video blog are essentially text blogs with externally linked videos for each entry. This research examined a study of students’ speaking skill through vlog to tenth grade of vocational high school. this research aimed to find out the implementation of learning speaking through vlog, to examine the strengths and the weaknesses of learning speaking through vlog, to investigate the responses given by students toward of learning speaking through vlog. The research was conducted in SMK Al-Fathonah Cianjur. The participant of this research was the students in tenth grade. This research used qualitative research: a study case. The research used non-participants classroom observation, interview, and questionnaire. The classroom observations were conducted three meetings. The interview and questionnaire were conducted after doing observation. Interview involved four students and questionnaire involved all students (20 students). The results showed that vlog can help them in learning speaking and foster their speaking skill. Further, the students were very enthusiastic in learning speaking through vlog. Vlog is suitable for learning speaking and narrative text material. Learning speaking through vlog is more flexible. However, students should have adequate facilities to learn speaking through vlog. Students gave positive responses of implementation learning speaking through vlog is fun, interesting and make students  motivated to improve their speaking skills. Based on the findings, vlog can only be implemented in learning speaking at the intermediate and upper level such as junior high school, senior high school or vocational high school, and university.

This research was conducted to find out the influence of parent-children interpersonal communication on student aggression to the teacher. This research used quantitative research method and the data are processed by using the regression analysis method. The population of this research are adolescent who studied in junior high school, senior high school, and vocational high school. The sample of this research are 360 students from junior high school, senior high school, and vocational high school in Central Jakarta. The instrument of this research is “The Aggression Questionnaire” which has been modified to devoted measuring student aggression to the teacher. Then, using the interpersonal communication scale to measure parent-children interpersonal communication. The result of this research shows that there are 4.4% of negative influence of interpersonal communication on students aggression to the teacher. It means that the more parent-children interpersonal communication happens, the more student aggression to the teacher decreases, and vice versa.   Keyword: interpersonal communication, aggression, students.

Human resource plays an important role for the economy. How to obtain human resource quality is by implementing the quality of education system. Education is one of the important considerations sought by the government, as proved by the size of its allocation on budget. Therefore, evaluating the efficiency of its implementation in Indonesia is needed by using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method. This paper attempts to develop a new efficiency model of Indonesian education system and implement it to all school’s levels: primary school, junior high school, senior and vocational high school, in 34 provinces in Indonesia. The results show provinces that already have achieved cost, technical and overall efficiency are only 1 and 2 provinces at each levels of education. Regarding the managerial implications, teacher’s equity is a top priority in improving the quality of education system in Indonesia.

The objectives of this study was to describe the writers’ ways of persuading readers in argumentative writing. This study followed the theory of Ramage et.al. (2016) about the ways of persuading readers which comprises of text structure, reasoning, and persuasive appeal. This study used descriptive qualitative design. The data of this study were gathered by using elicitation technique, asking the 8th semester of undergraduate students to write argumentative text under predetermined topic Social Media Should be Banned with three intended readers, they were: Junior High School, Senior High School, and Undergraduate students.This study revealed that the subjects manipulated the text structure by presenting three-layered text structure of argumentative writing, and presenting the pseudo-evidence and organizing cause and effect relationship in terms of the reasoning aspect.Keywords: Cognitive Consideration, Argumentative, Writing, Persuasive

The current study investigates the interference of L1 (Indonesian) into L2 (English) and the errors that occur due to the influence of TL (target language). The focus of the study is on the errors committed by these EFL students in writing narrative text and emphasized on interlingual errors and intralingual errors. The objectives of the study are to investigate the errors committed by these EFL students in order to findout; (1) the types of interlingual errors and intralingual errors in Junior High School, Senior High School and University, (2) the frequencies of interlingual errors and intralingual errors in Junior High School, Senior High School and University, and (3) the similarities and differences of interlingual errors and intralingual errors in Junior High School, Senior High School and niversity. The researcher used Qualitative descriptive as the method design and writing test as the data collecting technique. The data was erroneous sentences found in the students’ narrative writing. The subjects of the study comprised 30 eight grade of SMP Muhammadiyah Pekalongan, East Lampung and 30 eleven grade SMKN 1 Pekalongan, East Lampung, and 30 fourth-year students of English Department of University of Muhammadiyah, Metro Lampung. The findings of the study suggest: (1) The types of interlingual errors andintralingual errors made by SMP, SMK and University students divided into 2 levels, they are morphological level and syntactical level. (2) the frequent of interlingual errors in Junior High School 36 cases (30.26%), in Vocation High School 39 cases (36.77%) and 9 cases (10.98%) in University. The frequent of intralingual errors in Junior High School 83 cases (69.74%), in Senior High School 70 cases (64.23%) and 73 cases (89.02%) in University, and (3) The similarities of interlingual errors and intralingual errors found in Junior High School, Vocation High School and University are 2 types. In morphological level, they are the use of L1 structures and omission of BE in nominal sentences. There are also 2 types in syntactical level, they are the use of present BE in past event and the use of present Verb in past event. The differencesof interlingual errors and intralingual errors found in SMP, SMK and University are (1) in SMP there are 8 types errors that found in the students’ writing, (2) 3 types of errors in SMK, and (3) 2 types of errors found in University.

AbstractInequality is a mathematical statement that contains one of the sequence relations <,>, ≤, ≥. This sequence relation has been known by students since they were in elementary school, junior high school, senior high school and even went to university. In Higher Education material lapse, inequality and absolute grades are found in Differential Calculus courses and become one of the prerequisites for other courses namely Differential Calculus. Based on our observations at the Mathematics Education Study Program FKIP Palembang PGRI University, the understanding of solving interval questions, inequality and absolute values cannot be understood well by students, which we conclude that students still feel confused and make many mistakes in solving problems a matter of lapse, inequality and absolute value. In this description, we present how to think in solving intervals, inaccuracies and absolute values so that students can solve these problems.Keywords: how to think with intervals, inequality, absolute value. AbstrakKetaksamaan adalah pernyataan matematik yang memuat salah satu relasi urutan <, >, . Relasi urutan tersebut sudah dikenal siswa sejak duduk di bangku Sekolah Dasar, Sekolah Menengah Pertama, Sekolah Menengah Atas bahkan sampai ke Perguruan Tinggi. Di Perguruan Tinggi materi selang, ketaksamaan dan nilai mutlak terdapat pada mata kuliah Kalkulus Diferensial dan menjadi salah satu prasyarat bagi mata kuliah yang lain yaitu Kalkulus Diferensial. Berdasarkan pengamatan kami di Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas PGRI Palembang, pemahaman tentang penyelesaian soal-soal selang, ketaksamaan dan nilai mutlak belum dapat dipahami dengan baik oleh mahasiswa, yang mana kami berkesimpulan bahwa mahasiswa masih merasa bingung dan banyak melakukan kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal tentang selang, ketaksamaan dan nilai mutlak. Dalam uraian ini kami kemukakan bagaimana cara berpikir dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal selang, ketaksamaan dan nilai mutlak sehingga mahasiswa bisa menyelsaikan persoalan tersebut.Kata Kunci : cara berpikir dengan selang, ketaksamaan, nilai mutlak.

Abstract   This study is aimed to evaluate the legal basis and goal of the training program, the training program resources, the implementation process of training program, and the result of the training program for candidate of school library head to the teachers in elementary school, junior high school, senior high school and vocational high school in Bengkulu Province. The quantitative method using Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) is as the evaluation model. The method is performing by using several approaches including the observations, interviews, and documentations. The results show that the training program is consistent with the standard and criteria of the training program. The resultsreveal that the program has a clear basis and purpose. The training program resources also have also qualified with the standard and criteria. In addition the implementation of education and training program has been run in accordance with the objectives of training program. The result of the training program in improving the competence of candidate head of school library in general in the "good" category. Specifically the products of the training program must be maintained and should be increased as much as possible.   Key Words: Implementation process of training program.

AbstractPasanggiri Asah Kaparigelan Basa, Sastra, jeung Budaya Sunda It is a competition for elementary, Junior high school, Senior High School/Vocational School, which is held annually as a form of introduction etnopedagogic to the young generation to preserve the three pillars of culture in Cianjur. The outline of the research problem regarding values, such as moral values, the value of the Sundanese, the character and value of self-actualization Sundanese the components of the Pasanggiri Asah Kaparigelan Basa. Sastra, jeung Budaya Sunda. The purpose of this research is to find out and expose the moral value of Sundanese, the value of Sundanese characters, and the value of self-actualization Sundanese in the component Pasanggiri Asah Kaparigelan Basa, Sastra, jeung budaya Sunda. The methods used, that is descriptive qualitative approach method. Data collection with interview techniques and study the documentation. The results of study to find the value of etnopedagogic with the following conclusion; (1) There is the moral value of Sundanese in components Asah Kaparigelan.(2) There is value in the Sundanese characters in components Asah Kaparigelan. Sastra, jeung budaya Sunda. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan memaparkan tiha hal yaitu; nilai moral orang Sunda, nilai karakter orang Sunda, dan nilai aktualisasi diri orang Sunda yang terdapat dalam setiap komponen lomba (pasanggiri). Metode yang digunakan deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dengan wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian ini didapat nilai etnopedagogik dengan kesimpulan berikut; (1) Terdapat nilai moral orang Sunda dalam komponen pasanggiri asah kaparigelan, (2) Terdapat nilai karakter orang Sunda dalam komponen pasanggiri asah kaparigelan (3) Terdapat nilai aktualisasi diri orang Sunda dalam komponen asah kaparigelan.

This research aims to find out the impact of video dubbing on improving students’ speaking pronunciation. This research was applied for the tenth grade and eleventh grade of Vocational High School in Madiun city, province of East Java, Indonesia. The subject of the research consisted of 20 students, 14 female students and 6 male students. In collecting the data, researcher used observation to observe the implementation of video dubbing during teaching learning process and used test to find the improvement of students’ speaking pronunciation during the implementation of video dubbing. The research was conducted in two cycles, where each cycle consisted of 4 meetings. The research findings showed that the implementation of video dubbing could improve students’ speaking pronunciation. It can be concluded that the implementation of video dubbing in learning process has beneficial effect on students’ speaking skill, especially in pronunciation. Keywords: video dubbing, teaching speaking, pronunciation.
