Assessment of the parameters of skin microcirculation is an urgent and important task of modern medicine in the development of methods for diagnosing diseases of the nervous system. The system for assessing the functional state of blood flow in the skin surface layers in the wavelength range from 400 to 850 nm has been improved based on the use of an extended mathematical model of the propagation of optical radiation in human skin by taking into account additional parameters: optical anisotropy of the skin, diameter and shape of erythrocytes in the dermis layer, blood pressure in the brachial artery in the range from 90/60 to 195/130 mm·Hg, plasma protein concentration in the blood (α1, α2, β1, β2, γ-globulins and fibrinogen, g/l), rheological properties of blood flow with a diameter of blood vessels from 4.5 to 500 microns in the skin surface layers, skin temperature from +35 to +41 °C. The developed system makes it possible to determine the severity of microhemodynamic shifts in relation to metabolic disorders, improve diagnosis and evaluate the treatment efficacy of a number of neurological disorders; it also made it possible to reduce the patient examination time and increase the accuracy of measuring the blood flow microcirculation parameters by 10 % (linear and volumetric blood flow velocities) to detect blood flow disturbances in the surface layers of the skin in the normal and abnormal condition of the nervous system.

Impaired blood flow in various organs and tissues is a common cause of disabling disorders that even result in a lethal outcome. Despite an extremely rapid development of modern medicine, the rate of these disorders is still high thus emphasizing the importance of further detailed studies on this issue. In addition to systemic vascular diseases, local blood flow disturbances are also prevalent among population. These disturbances result from more significant blood flow disorders. Retinal vein occlusion is not an exclusion. Acute retinal vein occlusions account for more than half of ocular vascular diseases and may lead to extremely severe ophthalmic complications that result in poor vision, blindness, and reduced quality of life in both young and elderly patients. The diversity of clinical presentations, their severity, and clinical course make the diagnosis challenging thus altering the assessment of the prevalence of these diseases. Keywords: retinal vein occlusion, epidemiology, systemic vascular disorders, risk factors, retinal vessels. For citation: Moshetova L.К., Usharova S.А., Simonova S.V.,Turkina К.I. The features of production factors established at the main workplaces of shoe production are considered. The materials on the results of the study of the functional state of the central nervous system of women workers of shoe production in the dynamics of the working day are presented. The level of functional state of the central nervous system was determined by the speed of visual and auditory-motor reactions, installed using the universal device chronoreflexometer. It was revealed that in the body of workers of shoe production there is an early development of inhibitory processes in the central nervous system, which is expressed in an increase in the number of errors when performing tasks on proofreading tables. It was found that the most pronounced shift s in auditory-motor responses were observed in professional groups, where higher levels of noise were registered in the workplace. The correlation analysis showed a close direct relationship between the growth of mistakes made in the market and the decrease in production. An increase in the time spent on the task indicates the occurrence and growth of production fatigue.Funding. The study had no funding.Conflict of interests. Toxicity and hazard assessment of dioctyl terephthalate (DOTP) was performed in acute, subacute, and chronic experiments, and its principal toxicometry parameters were determined. It was found that on single exposure DOTP exhibits low toxicity and hazard. No resorptive and irritant effects on skin and mucous membrane of eyes were detected in animal experiments. The single inhalation exposure threshold limit value was set at 300 mg/m3, based on the results of monitoring of the functional state of the central nervous system and myocardium and hematological parameters.Thirty-day subacute experiments (oral administration, inhalation exposure, and skin applications) revealed no accumulation of the compound.Four-month chronic exposure to DOTP aerosols (concentration 96,8 mg/m3) caused disorder of the functional state of the central nervous system and myocardium, changes in the hematological and biochemical parameters, gas and acid-base status of the blood, and morphological changes in the lungs and heart. Embryotoxic, genotoxic and gonadotoxic effects were not detected. The chronic inhalation exposure threshold limit value for DOTP (Limch) was set at 18,6 mg/m3, and the concentration of 3,4 mg/m3 was found to be ineffective. The maximum allowable concentration of DOTP in the air of the working area was set at 3,0 mg/m3, hazard class 3.

To investigate the clinical effects of EH0202, a Japanese herbal supplement, on the menopausal symptoms and physical status of peri- and post-menopausal women. Thirty-two post-menopausal women (53.0±5.1 years) presented with menopausal complaints were enrolled in the clinical study. Patients were administered an herbal supplement, EH0202 (6 g/day for 6 months), and were assessed for improvement of their overall symptoms using the Greene Climacteric Scale and the Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Blood pressure, skin surface blood flow and plasma lipid profiles were measured before and 1, 3 and 6 months after EH0202 administration. There was a significant decrease in the climacteric scale score (P<0.001) and VAS (P<0.0001) after 6 months of EH0202 treatment. There was a significant decrease in systolic (P<0.001) and diastolic (P<0.05) blood pressure, and a significant decrease in facial skin surface blood flow (P<0.05) after 3 months of EH0202 administration. We observed a significant decrease in plasma TG and LDL-cholesterol concentrations after 3 months of EH0202 administration (P<0.05). EH0202 (MACH) reduced blood pressure, excess facial skin blood flow (flushing) and abnormal lipid levels, as well as clinically improved menopausal symptoms in post-menopausal women. In post-menopausal women, this product appears to help maintain normal biological function and improves quality of life.
