Objective - Income smoothing is a form of earnings manipulation to show that the company's performance is good. Income smoothing can be detrimental to investors, because investors do not know the real financial position and fluctuations of the company. Management of the company engage in income smoothing because investors tend to focus only on the amount of profit reported without regard to the process of generating profits. The purpose of this research is to obtain empirical evidence about the effect of firm value and size on income smoothing. Methodology/Technique - The sample of the research includes manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2014-2016. The samples were determined using a purposive sampling method and there are 51 companies that meet the criteria used. This research uses a logistic regression method for data analysis. Findings - The results of the research show that the effect of firm value on income smoothing is positive and significant. Meanwhile, the effect of firm size on income smoothing is negative and significant. Companies that create value in the eyes of investors will try to retain their investors by engaging in income smoothing. Income smoothing will convince investors to invest in the company. Meanwhile, large companies that are convinced that investors will continue to invest do not typically engage in income smoothing. Novelty – This study proves that, in the context of agency theory, the principal's desires are not often aligned with the wishes of management which can give rise to agency costs, one of which occurs as a result of income smoothing. The capital market in Indonesia is currently growing, so that competition between companies is increasing. The company will try to increase the value of the company in order to attract investors to invest in the company. Management realizes that attention investors tend to only focus on profit, so managers are encouraged to practice income smoothing. This study aims to obtain empirical evidence of the influence of firm value, firm size and profitability on income smoothing practices in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2016-2018 periode. The number of samples selected in banking companies is as many as 31 companies, using the purposive sampling method. The data analysis technique used is a logistic regression analysis and the results showed that the firm value and firm size had a positive effect on income smoothing practices, while the profitability did not effect the income smoothing practice. The purpose of this empirical research is to examine the effect of firm size, financial leverage, profitability, and cash holding against income smoothing in the manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2014-2016. This research uses 63 manufacturing companies that were selected using purposive sampling method for a total of 189 data in three years.In this study, the hypotheses test is performed using the logistic regression model.The results showed that profitability, cash holding and firm size has no effect on income smoothing. Financial Leverage has a negative influence on income smoothing.

This study aimed to examine the effect of Firm Size, Financial Leverage, Dividend Payout Ratio, and Firm Value toward Income Smoothing in BUMN Companies Listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange.  Income Smoothing measured by Index Eckel’s.  The Population in this study is BUMN companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2019 Based on the purposive sampling method, the sum of a sample obtained from the population is 16 companies.  Sources of data obtained from annual reports of companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2019.  The analytical method for this study uses logistic regression analysis and Mann Whitney test with SPSS 21.  Based on the result of the analysis showed Firm Size, Financial Leverage, Dividend Payout Ratio, and Firm Value are not influence Income Smoothing.

Objective - This research aims to obtain the empirical evidence on the influence of dividend policy, income tax, firm size, profitability, and leverage on income smoothing. Methodology/Technique - In this research, income smoothing is proxied with the Eckel index and logistic regression is used to test the hypothesis. The research population consists of non-financial companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange from 2013 to 2016. The sampling method used in this research is purposive sampling. The number of companies selected is 79 with 316 data. Findings - The results show that dividend policy, income tax, profitability, and leverage all have an influence on income smoothing. Meanwhile, firm size has no significant influence on income smoothing. Novelty - These findings are consistent with a firm's dividend policy and income tax having an incremental impact on income smoothing behavior. Type of Paper Empirical. This research aims to analyze the effects of profitability (ROA), liquidity (CR), assets growth, and firm size towards capital structure (DER) and the impact on firm value (PBV).This research uses secondary data from yearly financial statement of food and baverages companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange for period 2013-2017. The research design uses descriptive quantitative research and causality. Sampling method uses purposive sampling method, with some predetermined criteria, the number of sample is 17 manufacturing companies. The analysis technique used is panel data regression. The research results shows that the profitability (ROA) and firm size partially have negative effect and not significant on capital structure (DER). The liquidity (CR) and assets growth partially have negative effect and significantly on capital structure (DER). Then the capital structure (DER) partially have positive effect but not significantly influences the firm value (PBV). The profitability (ROA) partially have positive effect and significant on firm value (PBV). The liquidity (CR) and assets growth partially have negative and significant effect on firm value (PBV), and firm size partially have negative and not significant effect on firm value (PBV). Simultaneously profitability (ROA), liquidity (CR), assets growth and firm size effect on capital structure (DER). On the other side, simultaneously profitability (ROA), liquidity (CR), assets growth and firm size have effect on firm value (PBV).

Objective - The objective of this study is to investigate how institutional ownership and firm size affect firm value. The study also investigates the moderating effect of tax avoidance on the relationship between institutional ownership and the size of a firm on its value. Methodology/Technique - A model was developed and tested using a sample of 66 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange between 2012 and 2014. Findings - The data was collected and analysed using a least square regression and moderated regression analysis. The analysis shows that institutional ownership and firm size affect firm value. The results also indicate that tax avoidance moderates the effect of institutional ownership and that of a firm's size on its value. The aim of the study is to assess determinant of firm value as profitability, dividend policy, firm size and liquidity for manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2010-2014. This study using manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange as sample. Sample selected by purposive sampling method. Sample size generated by this method is 14 companies. Data type used in this study is quantitative data. Data souce in this study is secondary data. The data were then analyzed using multiple linier regression analysis to analysis dependent variable, Firm value (TQ), and independent variable such as profitability, dividend policy, firm size and liquidity.The research results revealed that profitability, dividend policy and liquidity have positive and significant effect to firm value. However other firm size has positive but no significant effect to firm value.

The capital market is growing from time to time. The company issues shares to obtain capital from investors. Profit is one of the main indicators for measuring performance and management accountability. Attention Investors tend to only focus on profit, management realizes that earnings information is the most important thing for a company, so managers are encouraged to practice income smoothing. This study aims to obtain empirical evidence of the influence of ownership structure and firm size on income smoothing practices in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The number of samples selected in manufacturing companies is as many as 25 companies, using the purposive sampling method. This research was tested by Logistic Test and the results showed that the structure of managerial ownership and firm size did not affect the income smoothing practice while the institutional ownership structure had a positive effect on income smoothing practices. This study aims to determine the effect of variable profitability (ROA), financial risks (DER), firm size (LnTA) and public ownership of the income smoothing practices in manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange either simultaneously or partially. The population of this research is manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2010-2012, as many as 135 companies. The sample was selected using purposive sampling method. The number of samples in this study were as many as 75 companies. Data collection was done by taking the documentation of financial statements of Indonesian Capital Market Directory and download the official website Indonesia Stock Exchange in www.idx.co.id and http://finance.yahoo.com. The analysis technique used is logistic regression analysis. The conclusion from this study is that the profitability (ROA), financial risks (DER), firm size (LnTA) and public ownership effect on the income smoothing. In partial, only the size of companies that have a significant effect on the income smoothing while the variable l profitability (ROA), financial risks (DER), and public ownership has no effect on the income smoothing.

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of leverage, firm size and sales growth on income smoothing and its implication to the firm value. The population used on this research was 24 state-owned companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange. The samples were determined using purposive sampling method and there were 19 companies which selected as the samples. The analytical method used on this research was statistic descriptive and panel data regression and use Eviews 9 for data processing. The result of this research showed that leverage which measured by debt to equity ratio has negative and insignificant effect on income smoothing while firm size and sales growth have negative and significant effect on income smoothing and income smoothing itself was found to have positive and significant effect on the firm value
