The research aims to describe the role of the agricultural sector in the economy in Bitung City from 2010 to 2019. The study was conducted for 3 months from June 2020 to September 2020. The type of data used in this study is secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Bitung City, namely in the form of GRDP of Bitung City and North Sulawesi Province for the period 2010 to 2019. Supporting data is in the form of other secondary data relevant to this study. The data collected were analyzed descriptively and presented in tabular form. The results showed that the contribution of the agricultural sector to the GRDP of Bitung City in 2019 was 16.6 percent, although it has decreased since 2010 by 17.8 percent, but the agricultural sector still ranks second after the manufacturing sector with a contribution of 32.84 percent in in 2019. The growth of the agricultural sector, although fluctuating, tends to increase from 6.33 percent in 2012 to 9.06 percent in 2019. The LQ value of the agricultural sector, even though it was less than one in 2019, was 0.85, but continues to increase compared to last year. 2010 amounted to 0.75, and the agricultural sector, especially the capture or fishing fisheries sub-sector, is the exporting sector to other districts / cities in North Sulawesi Province. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the agricultural sector has an important role in the economy of Bitung City, because this sector is not only an exporting sector, especially the capture fisheries sub-sector, but also as a provider of raw materials for the processing industry in Bitung City.

This study aims to determine what sectors are the leading sectors and the role of superior sector to the economy within the last 5 years in Jayawijaya regency. This research is conducted for three months starting from June 2017 until August 2017 in Jayawijaya Regency. The data used in this study is secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) Jayawijaya district. The data is in though using descriptive analysis research method. The research shows that the sectors that are the leading sectors in Jayawijaya Regency are agriculture, forestry, fishery, processing industry sector, electricity, gas and water supply sector, construction sector, trade, hotel and restaurant sector, transportation and communications sector, and the services sector. The sectors of services, transport and communications, and the agricultural sector are the most contributing sectors in the economy compared to other leading sectors.

This study aims to describe the role of Farmers Group "Tenggang Rasa" to the development of cocoa plants in the village of Inomunga, Kaidipang Sub-district, Utara Bolaang Mongondow District, North Sulawesi Province. The study lasted for 3 (three) months from January to March 2017 in Inomunga Village, Kaidipang Sub-district, Bolaang Mongondow Utara District. The data used were primary data collected through interviews with all members of farmer group "Tenggang Rasa" which amounted to 15 people as respondents. Secondary data were obtained from the Agricultural Office, the Inomunga Village Office and the District Office in Bolaang Mongondow Utara. The analytical method used is descriptive through Likert Scale and presented in tabular form. The results showed that “Tenggang Rasa” Farmer Group in Inomunga Village has a very important role as learning class, cooperation vehicle and production unit to develop cocoa plant by getting index of role which belong to high category that is 82,85 percent. With the existence of farmer groups, farmers are very helpful in overcoming their problems to get solution for the development of cocoa plants.

The aim of this research is to known the role of agricultural sector in South Minahasa Regency. The role was measured by sector position analysis and is the agriculture subsector was the base sector or nonbase by seeing the contribution of the agricultural sectorto the farming of Gross Regional Domestic Product in South Minahasa Regency. The data that has been used in this research was the secondary data by the Central Statistic Board of North Sulawesi Province, also the Agricultural and Livestock Service of South Minahasa Regency. The result of this research shows that the agricultural sector was the biggest contributor in the forming of GDRP in South Minahasa Regency. By using location quotient (LQ) analysis, the agricultural sector was one of the base sectors in the other sectors of econonomics, while agriculture subsector which was the base subsector is the one-season horticulture plants subsector. Based on the result of Dinamic Location Quotient (DLQ) analysis, the agricultural sector was predicted still be the base sector of South Minahasa Regency for five years ahead. Furthemore, the prediction of the agricultural subsector that have the potention of becoming the base subsector in the future is food plants subsector, one-sesion horticulture plants subsector, a-year horticultural subsector etcetera, a-year plantation subsector, livestock subsector, the service of agricultural subsector and hunting, and the fisheries subsector.

This study aimed to analyze the linkages between sectors, multiplier and the investment sector’s role in increasing the amount of output and the amount of labor that can be absorbed in the economy in the Province of Central Java. This study used a quantitative approach with secondary data. The analytical tool used was the analysis of input-output tables Province of Central Java in 2013 primarily relies on domestic transactions table on the basis of producer prices. The results showed the role of economy based on the analysis forward linkages and backward linkages can be divided into leading sectors, growing sector, potential sectors and underdeveloped sector. Sectors with the highest output multiplier is the manufacturing sector. Sector with the highest labor multiplier is the agricultural sector. The results also showed that the leading sectors also have a growing sectors impact on the highest output and labor absorption of final demand investment, that is trade, hotels and restaurants; Manufacturing Industry; and agriculture. Increased investment will increase the value of output and an increase in output will increase employment. At last, investments have a positive relationship with employment.

This study aims to determine what sectors into the base sector and the role of base sectors on employment within the last 5 years in the Province of North Sulawesi study was conducted over three months starting in October 2016 until the month of December 2016 in the province of North Sulawesi. In this study, the data used is secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of North Sulawesi Province. The data is processed using descriptive analysis and presented in tables and graphs. From the results of research show that the sector became the sector base in North Sulawesi are agriculture, forestry and fisheries, construction, and transport and communications sectors. In the agricultural sector the rate of labor absorption is much larger than the other two sectors of the base, but the growth rate of its workforce decreased when compared with other bases of both sectors. It can be seen from the average level of labor absorption per each sector of a base. At the rate of growth of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) of North Sulawesi province to the agricultural sector amounted to 21.70 percent and the rate of employment growth of 0.22 percent, the construction sector amounted to 12.71 per cent with employment growth rate of 0.44 percent, while transport and communication sector amounted to 12.59 with labor force growth rate of 2.97 percent.

This study aims to determine the role of agricultural sector in the absorption of labor in North Sulawesi Province. This research was conducted for three months, starting from October until December 2017 in North Sulawesi Province. In this study the data used are secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of North Sulawesi Province. The data is processed using the formula Location Quotient (LQ) and Labor Multiplier (Multiplier Shortrun). The results showed that agricultural sector is the most important sector in the absorption of labor in the Province of North Sulawesi. The contribution of agriculture sector on labor absorption period 2009-2016 as much as 39%. The contribution of the agricultural sector in absorbing labor in the Province of North Sulawesi tends to be the same as the contribution of the agricultural sector at the National level.*oehl*.

This study aims to determine the role of the agricultural sector to the economy of South Bolaang Mongondow Regency and its development in the period of 5 years ie in 2010 until 2014 and also to know the agricultural sector is the base or non-base sector. The data used is secondary data. This secondary data is obtained from the relevant agencies namely the Central Bureau of Statistics of North Sulawesi Province. The data is then analyzed using contribution formulas, growth formula and Location Quotient (LQ) analysis. The results showed that the agricultural sector is the largest contributor to the economy of Bolaang Mongondow Selatan Regency. This can be seen from the calculation of contribution and development of agricultural sector contribution to South Bolaang Mongondow Regency PDRB from 2010 to 2014. Based on the results of research also known that the development of agriculture sector to PDRB shows an increase that is from 2010-2014 with the largest increase occurred in 2013 with growth reached 5.82%, this can be interpreted that the productivity of agricultural sector in South Bolaang Mongondow Regency is good. From the analysis result using LQ, it can be seen that agriculture sector is base sector in South Bolaang Mongondow Regency, it means the role of agricultural sector in Bolaang Mongondow Selatan Regency is bigger.

This research is conducted  in order to analyze the contribution of the agricultural sector toward the economy of North Bolaang Mongondow Regency in the period of 8 years, 2010 to 2017, and also in order to identify the agricultural sector and sub-sector is the base sector in North Bolaang Mongondow Regency. This research was conducted for three months started from December 2019 to January 2020 at the Central Statistics Agency of North Bolaang Mongondow Regency and the Central Statistics Agency of North Sulawesi Province. The data used are secondary data. Where secondary data were obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of North Bolaang Mongondow Regency and the Central Statistics Agency of North Sulawesi Province. The data analysis used is the contribution formula, Location Quotient analysis and Dynamic Location Quotient method. The results of this study indicates that the agricultural, forestry and fisheries sectors are the largest contributors or major contributors to the economy of North Bolaang Mongondow Regency from 2010 to 2017. Based on the result analysisof the Location Quotient it can be seen that the agricultural, forestry and fisheries sectors are the basic sectors in North Bolaang Mongondow Regency. It means, this sector is able to fulfill the necessity for their own  region and it  is  also possible to do  exporting  to  outside  of  region. Furthermore, the sub-sector which is the base sector in North Bolaang Mongondow Regency is the forestry sub-sector. The crop subsector and the annual horticultural  subsector contained in the agriculture, livestock and agricultural services sub-sector are also the base sectors in North Bolaang Mongondow  Regency.

<em>The agricultural sector</em><em> is a strategic sector in Manokwari regency. The agricultural sector provides a major contribution in the regional economy, an economic base of rural people, dominate the life of most residents in this region and provider of food and raw materials for other sectors. The purpose of this study was to determine how big the contribution of different sub-sectors that exist in the agricultural sector, which analyzes sectors influential in changing the economic structure of agriculture in the area and know the potential commodities that can be developed in an effort to enhance the role of the agricultural sector. The research method used through literature study and analysis of secondary data sourced from the relevant authorities. To find out how big the factors that influence changes in economic structures of domination of the agricultural sector into non-agricultural sector estimates used Ordinary Least Square (OLS). For the determination of the potential commodities that can be seeded used method approach Location Quotient (LQ). The results showed the greatest contribution of the different sub-sectors within the agricultural sector contained in the food crops sub-sector. Based on the rate of growth per year, plantation crops sub-sector occupied the highest positions. The sectors that provide real impact on the agricultural sector's contribution to the regional gross domestic product �of the building sector and services sector. Potential commodities that can be developed in different areas in Manokwari regency include food crops and pulses, vegetables and fruits and livestock including cows, goats, pigs and chicken.</em>

This study aims to determine the characteristics of smallholder farmers in Tolok Village, Tompaso District. The study was conducted in August to September 2019. The selection of samples in this study was carried out purposevley with 33 respondent farmers, namely those who have small size of land of less than 0.5 hectares. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. Primary data collected through interviews and observations. Secondary data were obtained from the Tolok Village office, library and the Internet. Data analysis uses description analysis, which describes the characteristics of smallholder farmers and is presented in tabular form. The results showed that farmers who have small size of land with low income and are unable to rely solely on the agricultural sector as a source of income. The non-agricultural sector is also used as a source of additional income to meet their needs.*eprm*
