This conflict between firm insiders and firm outsiders in case to allocate the free cash still unclear in the context of agency theory. This study examines the sample of 25 public firms in consumer goods industry listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange over period of 2010 until 2018 in term to detect agency conflict with earnings management as its application. This study finds that discretionary accruals as the proxy of earnings management is insignificant on debt policy and growth opportunities. Those findings indicate that, Indonesian public firms do not practicing earnings management which means agency conflict is not exist over the sample of this study.

This study aims to determine the effect of simultaneous and partial ownership structure and earnings management on firm value in the Consumer Goods Industry Sector Companies that are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014. The method used in this study is the census method. The population studied was 32 companies in the Consumer Goods Industry Sector that were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014. The data collected were secondary data. Analysis of the data in this study used path analysis using SPSS V. 24. The results showed that the ownership structure and earnings management, simultaneously, had a significant effect on the value of the company in the Consumer Goods Industry Sector Companies that were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014. The ownership structure, partially, has no significant effect on the value of the company in the Consumer Goods Industry Sector Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014. Earnings management, partially, has a significant effect on the firm value of the Consumer Goods Industry Sector Companies that are listed on the Exchange Indonesian Securities in 2014, and ownership structure does not significantly influence earnings management in the Consumer Goods Industry Sector Companies that are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014. Keywords: ownership structure, earnings management, company value

Penelitian dilakukan guna menganalisis pengaruh kebijakan dividen, kebijakan hutang, profitabilitas dan kepemilikan manajerial terhadap nilai perusahaan subsektor industri barang konsumsi yang telah terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2015-2019. Populasi terdiri dari seluruh perusahaan industri barang konsumsi tahun 2015 hingga 2019. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu 8 perusahaan subsektor industri barang konsumsi dan seri waktu 5 tahun dari 2015 sampai 2019. Data didapatkan melalui laporan keuangan tahunan di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) memakai metode purposive sampling yakni didasarkan pada kriteria tertentu. Metode analisis memakai analisis regresi berganda, asumsi kalsik dan uji hipotesis dengan tingkat memakai program SPSS. Hasil yang telah diselesaikan kebijakan dividen(DPR) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Kebijakan hutang(DER) berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Profitabilitas(ROA) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Kepemilikan manajerial(KM) berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap nilai perusahaan. Kemudian bersama-sama kebijakan dividen, kebijakan hutang, profitabilitas dan kepemilikan manajerial berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan. AbstractThis study aims to analyze the effect of dividend policy, debt policy, profitability, and managerial ownership on the value of the consumer goods industry sub-sector companies that have been listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2019. The population used is all consumer goods industrial companies from 2015 to 2019. The sample of this research is 8 companies in the consumer goods industry subsector and a 5-year time series from 2015 to 2019. Data is obtained from annual financial reports on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) using a purposive method. sampling that is based on certain criteria. The analytical method used is multiple regression analysis, calcic assumptions, and hypothesis testing using the SPSS program. The results that have been finalized dividend policy (DPR) have a positive and significant effect on firm value. Debt policy (DER) has a positive and insignificant effect on firm value. Profitability (ROA) has a positive and significant effect on firm value. Managerial ownership (KM) has a positive and insignificant effect on firm value. Meanwhile, collectively, dividend policy, debt policy, profitability, and managerial ownership affect firm value.

<p class="bdabstract">Earnings management in financial statements can be caused by accrual accounting policies applied and conflicts of interest in agency theory. This study aims to analyze and compare earnings management in financial statements of conventional banks and Islamic banks. This research is a descriptive study of banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017-2018. Earnings management is measured by accrual earnings management proxied by discretionary accruals using the modified-Jones model. The samples are 10 Islamic banks and 32 conventional banks. The results show that the comparison of the average absolute value of discretionary accruals for conventional banks is 0.0659 and for Islamic banks is 0.0478. It shows that discretionary accruals for Islamic banks are generally smaller compared to conventional banks. This indicates that the level of earnings management in Islamic bank financial statements is lower than conventional banks.</p>

The purpose of this research is to examine and analyze of firms size, leverage and profitability that effect earnings management. The data used in this research are from consumer goods industry company which registered in Indonesia Stock Exchange over four year from 2015 until 2018. The sample of this research consists of 23 companies from 92 data samples selected using purposive sampling method. The result of this research show indicate that firms size has a significant negative effect. Leverage has a significant positive effect. Additional result show that the profitability does not have an effect on earnings management. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menguji dan menganalisis bukti empiris mengenai pengaruh ukuran perusahaan, leverage dan profitabilitas terhadap manajemen laba. Data pada penelitian ini menggunakan perusahaan consumer goods industry yang terdaftar di BEI periode empat tahun dari 2015 sampai 2018. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 23 dari 92 data yang telah diseleksi menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan ukuran perusahaan berpengaruh negatif terhadap manajemen laba. Leverage berpengaruh positif. Hasil lainnya menunjukkan profitabilitas yang tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap manajemen laba.

This study aims to analyze: The effect of profitability, leverage, company size, managerial ownership, free cash flow on earnings management in manufacturing companies in the consumer goods industry listed on the IDX in 2015-2019. Earnings management is measured by discretionary accruals with the modified Jones model. The population in this study were all manufacturing companies in the consumer goods industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with a sample size of 13 companies. The data used in this study are data on manufacturing companies in the consumer goods industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2019 using panel data regression. The results of this study indicate that profitability has no significant effect on earnings management. Leverage has a significant effect on earnings management. Firm size has no significant effect on earnings management. Managerial ownership has a significant effect on earnings management. Free cash flow has no significant effect on earnings management. Profitability, leverage, firm size, managerial ownership, free cash flow simultaneously have a significant effect on earnings management.Keywords: Profitability, Leverage, Company Size, Managerial Ownership, Free Cash Flow and Earnings Management

The purpose of this study was to examine whether there is an effect of current tax expense, deferred tax, deferred tax assets, and deferred tax liability on earnings management actions in consumer goods companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). This study's sample consisted of 27 consumer goods industries listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2013-2017 using the purposive sampling method. Hypothesis testing in this study using the t-test. Earnings management is proxied by discretionary accruals using the Modified Jones Model. The type of data used is secondary data. Data analysis used OLS (regression equation analysis ordinary least square). The results show that the current tax has a significant effect on earnings management variables. The deferred tax affects earnings management, deferred tax assets affect earnings management, and deferred tax liabilities have no effect on earnings management. Research limitations The sample of companies used is considered less representative of the population because only manufacturing companies are used consumer goods. The research period in measuring earnings management variables is proxied by discretionary accruals for only five consecutive years, according to Jones (1991). profit can be seen if the research period is carried out for eight years. In this study, it is suggested that the research period used can be added, and the sample used can be extended to other company sectors and other measures of earnings management by using proxies.

This study aimed to examine the effect of the Cash Conversion Cycle and Working Capital Turnover on Return on Assets At the Consumer Goods Industry Listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The method used in this research is the quantitative approach. Results showed variable cash conversion cycle (CCC) and working capital turnover (WCT) simultaneously have a significant effect on profitability (Return on Total Assets). Variabel cash conversion cycle (CCC) partially not have a significant impact on profitability (Return on Total Assets) but variable working capital turnover (WCT) partially have a significant impact on profitability (Return on Total Assets) consumer goods industry issuers listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2010-2014. Keyword : Cash Conversion Cycle, Working Capital Turnover, Return on Assets

This study aims to determine the effect of accounting profit, operating cash flow and company size on stock prices through dividend policy on consumer goods industry companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This research uses quantitative methods and the type of explanatory research with 2016-2018 observation years in 17 company samples. The results show (1) accounting profit and operating cash flow have a positive and significant effect on dividend policy, while the size of the company has no influence on dividend policy. (2) accounting profit and operating cash flow do not have an effect on the closing prices, while the size of the company has a positive and significant effect on the closing prices. (3) dividend policy has a positive and significant effect on the closing prices. (4) there is no indirect effect of dividend policy in mediating accounting profit and operating cash flow on the closing prices, but there is an indirect effect of dividend policy in mediating company size on the closing prices.

The purpose of this study is to examine auditor’s concervatism in term of their reaction to client’s earnings management behavior and their limitations to issue the going concern opinions (GCO). The population of this study consists of 672 observations from 69 companies are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) during 2012-2017. The author used the modified Jones model to measure discretionary accruals as a proxy of earnings management. The results of this study indicate that size of audit firm has a positive effect to discretionary accrual. Companies that have been audited by the Big4 tend to apply discretionary accrual in their financial reporting than companies audited by Non-Big4. Further, to strenghten the first hypothesis, we examine the effect of discretionary accruals and going concern opinion on companies that audited by audit firms Big4 lower than companies that audited by audit firms Non-Big4. We found that the result is consistent with the first hypothesis. Keywords : auditor reputation, discretionary accruals, going concern opinion, audit firm  ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji konservatisme auditor dalam hal reaksi auditor terhadap akrual diskresioner yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan dan keterbatasan auditor untuk menerbitkan opini Going Concern (GC). Populasi penelitian terdiri dari 672 pengamatan dari 69 perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) selama tahun 2012-2017. Penulis menggunakan model modifikasi Jones untuk mengukur akrual diskresioner sebagai proksi manajemen laba. Hasil dari penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa ukuran kantor akuntan publik berpengaruh positif terhadap akrual diskresioner, hal tersebut diperkuat dengan pengaruh akrual diskresioner dan opini audit going concern yang diaudit oleh kantor akuntan publik Big4 lebih rendah dari perusahaan yang tidak diaudit oleh kantor akuntan publik Non-Big4. Kata kunci : reputasi auditor, akrual diskresioner, opini audit going concern, kantor akuntan publik
