Purpose: This research aimed to describe the Competence of Lecturers in Managing Learning at the Social Welfare Education and Training Center of the Ministry of Social Affairs. Research methodology: This research was a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. Data sources were determined by snowball sampling, where the data analysis procedure used was an interactive model from Miles & Huberman. Results: The Social Welfare Training and Education Center of the Ministry of Social Affairs has implemented learning management competencies as abilities that Widyaiswara must have in planning, compiling, implementing, and evaluating learning concerning Widyaiswara Competency Standards. Limitations: This study has two limitations; 1) It only researched one Widyaiswara competence, namely learning management and not using the substance, personality, and social competencies; 2) Informants only come from the Ministry of Social Welfare Education and Training Center and have not included informants from the Social Welfare Education and Training Center in each region. Contribution: The study's findings are intended to be used to make suggestions to institutions, policymakers and interested parties so that improvements can be made to the implementation of the Education and Training at the Social Welfare Education and Training Center of the Ministry of Social Affairs Keywords: Learning management competence, Widyaiswara competence, Social welfare education, Ministry of Social Affairs

Widyaiswara plays an important role and determines the effectiveness of the implementation of education and training programs, so this study aims to determine the assessment of training participants on the performance of Widyaiswara in implementing learning management competencies and the constraints found during the education process in the substantive technical training in the preparation of teaching materials for Ibtidaiyah madrasah teachers. In the Ministry of Religion of the Banjar City in 2018. Researchers used a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study were observation sheets, researchers' notes during the learning process and unstructured interviews. Researchers used integrative qualitative data analysis techniques between interactive models and propositions through three stages of analysis, namely data reduction, display, and conclussion/verification and carried out with a basing strategy on theoretical propositions or concept propositions of academic evaluation and widyaiswara competence in the learning process of education and training. This proposition is then used as a theoretical orientation that guides the analysis of this study. The results showed that the training participants' evaluation of the widyaiswara aspects of management of educational material = 85.6, the interaction of widyaiswara with the training participants = 85.1 was GOOD, the organization of learning = 86.7, classroom management = 89.1 and the utilization of education and training facilities = 86.1 was VERY GOOD. The average acquisition of all evaluation indicators of widyaiswara's competence in learning management has fulfilled the predicate of Very Good with a score of 86.52. The assessment of widyaiswara cannot be separated from the constraints found during the learning process, namely (1) The hours of theory and practice learning are not yet proportional, (2) Products or results of training activities, (3) Limitations of the internet network, (4) Limitations of infrastructure and the location of the training, and (5) The limited time provided in the Follow-up Action activities. Education and Training is a form of institutional intervention so that employees have competency standards so that they are able to carry out their duties properly and appropriately. This study discusses the improvement of teacher competency in the implementation of scientific publications through Training in the Workplace (DDTK) Classroom Action Research (PTK). DDTK aims to improve the technical competence of civil servants and non-civil servants of the ministry of religion according to their duties and positions and develop insight into employee duties related to new regulations / policies / provisions, new technologies, or new knowledge relevant to their main tasks and functions. The main objective of Classroom Action Research (CAR) is the improvement and improvement of learning services. The population and sample of this study were participants of the Madrasah teacher training in the Workplace (DDTK) in Bangka, Belitung, and East Belitung Regencies in the 2016 and 2017. The study used multiple regression using Adjusted Square. Calculations for this multiple regression using SPSS statistical version 16 software. From the results of the research, it was found that the average of DDTK Bangka District Classroom Action Research (PTK) 2016 and 2017 were 51.41, and the average DDTK Class Action Research substance (PTK) Belitung Regency in 2016 and 2017 amounted to 50.39, with a difference in mean scores of 1.02. The average understanding of madrasah teachers in Bangka Regency 2016 and 2017 PTK writing was 118.20, and the average madrasah teacher understanding in Belitung Regency PTK writing in 2016 and 2017 was 118.88, with a mean difference of 0.68. The regression coefficient of the Education and Training Center (DDTK) variable (X2) has a positive sign (0.074), which means that the Education and Training Center (DDTK) variable has a positive influence on teacher understanding. The hypothesis which states that there is an effect of the Workplace Education Training (DDTK) substance on Classroom Action Research (CAR) on the understanding of madrasah teachers in writing PTK is statistically proven. Keywords: Training at Workplace, Classroom Action Research, Teacher's Understanding

Purpose: To explore dietetic practitioners’ perceptions of their education and training in the knowledge, skills, and confidence to understand social justice issues and to engage in socially just dietetic practice and social justice advocacy. Methods: An online semi-qualitative survey sent to Canadian dietitians. Results: Most respondents (n = 264; 81.5%) felt that knowledge- and skill-based learning about social justice and social justice advocacy should be a part of dietetic education and training. Reasons given by respondents for the importance of social justice learning include: client-centred care and reflexive practice, effecting change to the social and structural determinants of health, preventing dietitian burnout, and relevance of the profession. Yet, over half of respondents either strongly disagreed or disagreed that they were adequately prepared with the knowledge (n = 186; 57.4%), skills (n = 195; 60.2%), or confidence (n = 196; 60.5%) to engage in advocacy related to social justice concerns. Some questioned the practicality of adding social justice learning via additional courses to already full programs, while others proposed infusing a social justice lens across dietetic education and practice areas. Conclusions: Dietetic education and training must do more to prepare dietitians to answer calls for dietitians to engage in social justice issues through practice and advocacy.

British engineers have claimed that their important contributions to economic and social well-being, based on their achievements as practical people, have gone unrecognized or unrewarded. Yet over the past thirty years efforts to boost the social prestige of British engineers appear to have undermined the social arrangements which fostered the strong practical ethos. Increasing reliance on the full-time educational system is tending to raise social prestige through bringing the ‘all graduate profession’ and through trends to recruitment from higher social backgrounds. Yet these trends have been associated with a fall in traditional and recognizable training. This paper examines both the nature of the ‘practical’ tradition and efforts to raise ‘prestige’ and asks whether the engineering profession is caught on the horns of an irresolvable dilemma—to boost either prestige or practicality. The paper concludes that in principle the British pattern of education and training has much to commend it still, with the strong emphasis on training elements in a working environment. But it is argued that its success will depend on engineers and their employers becoming much more active in the field of training.

The Trade Education and Training Center (Pusdiklat Perdagangan) participates in the development of competencies and skills of the Indonesian people. One of contribution is organizing webinars through the learning management system (LMS) Kudagang. As an education and training center that organizes infographic webinars, Pusdiklat Perdagangan hopes to provide the best service. Therefore, evaluation is a mandatory thing that must be done. The infographic became a webinar topic that was given to participants, both academics and professionals. To provide optimal service, Pusdiklat Perdagangan evaluates webinar activities through participant suggestions. The purpose of this study is to identify things that need to be addressed and improved in the implementation of future webinars so that the quality of services provided is optimal and identify topics and webinar materials that are really needed by the community. Suggestions from participants in the form of text are processed and analyzed using text mining. The data analysis consisted of two parts: (1) analysis of suggestions regarding the webinar activities; (2) suggestions for the next webinar topic. The results of the analysis of participant suggestions indicate several things that need to be improved in the implementation of the webinar, including the audio quality, the practice duration, the technique in delivering material, and the role of the host in guiding the webinar activities. The webinar topic suggestions given by the participants to Pusdiklat Perdagangan are advanced infographics, social media management, public speaking, effective communication, and how to write scientific articles

The objectives of this study are: 1) To identify the factors that cause indiscipline at the Pusdik Binmas Lemdiklat Polri. 2) To analyze why the discipline at the Pusdik Binmas Lemdiklat Polri is not optimal. 3) To identify how the work discipline is at the Pusdik Binmas Lemdiklat Polri. 4) To formulate efforts to improve work discipline at the Pusdik Binmas Lemdiklat Polri. This research is more appropriate to use a qualitative approach. The results showed that the work discipline of police officers would affect their performance in serving the community. Pusdik Binmas Lemdiklat Polri has carried out its duties as well as possible, this of course cannot be separated from the participation and support of the leadership who always provides guidance, direction and instructions in carrying out their duties, so that every member of the Head of Education and Training Center for the National Education and Training Center of the Police tries to provide the best service to the community . As the specific conclusions of this study, as follows: The desired work discipline in improving services to the community; The form of work discipline, and its application. Desired discipline and ways of socializing it; Implementation of Work Discipline; Evaluation of Work Discipline; and follow-up work discipline.

The industrial revolution 4.0 is a digital-based era that demands the quality of human resources (HR) who have high skills. The Education and Training Center (ETC) is one of the institutions that plays role in increasing the quality level of human resources. This study aims to see the effect simultaneously and partially between the competence of instructors and infrastructure on the quality of ETC graduates in the face of the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. in Indragiri Hulu Regency. The population in this study consists of all ETCs in Indragiri Hulu, there are 15 ETCs and all ETCs were sampled. Multiple regression and correlation analysis using SPSS 22.0 was used to determine whether or not there is an influence and relationship between variables. The results of the study concluded (1) the competence of instructors and infrastructure simultaneously had a significant effect on the quality of graduates. (2) Instructor competence partially has a significant effect on the quality of graduates. (3) Facilities partially has a significant effect on the quality of graduates. The variable that has the greatest contribution to the quality of ETC graduates in Indragiri Hulu Regency is the competence of the instructor followed by infrastructure. In this case, of education it will be very difficult for ETC graduates to compete in the world of work. Because this is a factor caused from within the ETC itself.

During the last years, the development of the project risk management competencies became a ubiquitous objective for education and training in project management due to the increasing constraints which companies face on the implementation of their projects. Alignment to the professional standards and usage of innovative methods in designing and delivery of instruction represent common requirements that education and training providers should consider and fulfill. The authors examine the main challenges in addressing project risk management subject in the education programmes and identify how these challenges could be dealt by using curriculum management systems. In order to implement the identified improvements, the authors propose an innovative architecture for a curriculum management system, which can be adopted by those universities interested in developing competencies-based programmes in project management. Some preliminary results are presented and discussed.
