Motion detectors are sensors that record movement in a certain area. This study proposes the evaluation of three motion detectors, using the Arduino microcontroller to execute orders to the sensors infrared, PIR (passive infrared sensor) and ultrasonic, to determine the obstacle detection behavior against different objects. According to the tests carried out and the theory presented for each sensor, we have found that the most efficient sensor for object detection is the PIR, due to its scope and viewing angle, which represents being feasible and more reliable to implement; for example, in security systems.

End of Line Resistor (EOLR) is a resistor that has a certain value to protect the circuit at the end of a loop or zone. The End of Line Resistors is used in security systems to enable the control panel to monitor wiring of open and closed. In this research using an Arduino microcontroller and Passive Infrared (PIR) Motion Sensor that connected with the systematic circuit to supervisory a loop or zone. Systematic circuit use combination of the resistor as the end of line resistor and voltage divider method. Analog input on Arduino uses to detect different states of sensors. The 1K resistor in series with the sensor line provides some protection for the input pin against the unexpected current flow. The 4K7 pull-up resistor, when combined with the resistance provided by the sensor, acts as a voltage divider, exposing the analog input to a different voltage depending on the state of the sensor. The result of measurement viewed by serial monitor function on the personal computer. PIR Sensor connected with an analog pin on microcontroller running well and there is no significant voltage value changing.

Security is something that is absolutely desirable by everyone. With a sense of security, people will not feel worried. For that we need a security information that is fast and effective so that security employees can immediately find out information if there is a theft in the room that is secured. This final project discusses about a room security system that is equipped with a PIR sensor that is installed at the entrance of a room or at a point considered important to be given a security system. Passive infrared sensor will be installed on the door of the room, then as an processor the Arduino microcontroller is used. Then to inform using LEDs as an indicator, buzzer as a warning siren and LCD as a text notification of the state of the situation. This system works, the PIR sensor will detect the presence of people or not in a room that is given this security system, then the Arduino microcontroller will process the data to order that the alarm sounds and give notification on the LCD that there is movement in the room. Passive infrared Receiver used is the KC778 R PIR sensor then the PIR sensor range used in the system has a maximum range of 60.

The first five sections represent the foundation and offer various intelligent algorithms that are the basics for motion detectors and their realization. There are two classes of security system alarm triggers: physical motion sensor and visual motion sensors. Both analog motion detectors and digital motion detectors belong to the group of visual motion sensors. Digital motion detector systems should differentiate between activities that are acceptable and those that breach security. When security-breaching acts occur, the system should identify the individuals and instruct security personnel what to do. Motion detectors can surveil, detect, and assess, as well as analyze information and distribute information to security personnel. Motion detector systems drastically reduce the load of footage that guards must watch for a long period of time. Automated motion detectors are now a standard for serious medium to large security installations; they are necessary for high detection capabilities. All security systems must have an alarming device to signal the guard of irregular motion in a scene, even systems that have a tiny or huge number of cameras.

We propose an algorithm for small-sized mobile object detection and trajectory parameter estimation for a passive positioning system that consists of several optical, thermal, and radio sensors. The algorithm is based on a combination of spatial and temporal processing of observation data. For spatial processing, a set of equations is solved that defines the sufficient condition for coupling the direction vectors to probable objects in the image stereo pair. Object coordinates and velocities for a single observation period are estimated. For temporal processing, the direction vectors are distributed based on connection to probable objects in a sequence of the capture intervals. The results of numerical modeling of the proposed algorithm show the advantage of combining the two approaches in comparison with the traditional object detection and tracking algorithms.

A CCTV optimization system has been designed using PIR (passive infrared) sensor based on AT89S52 microcontroller. This device consists of several series of sensor circuit, AT89S52 microcontroller minimum system, stepper motor driver circuit, push-on circuit and alarm circuit. The working system of the room safety device is when the PIR (passive infrared) sensor detects the movement of the object, then the output of the sensor is forwarded to the microcontroller, the microcontroller will process and convey to the driver circuit to drive the stepper motors that moves the CCTV. The push-on circuit is connected to the microcontroller port for controlling the movement of the stepper motor so it won’t rotate beyond 180 degrees, and for the safety of the room, an alarm circuit is connected to the microcontroller port as an alarming sound generator.

The principle of work of modern passive infrared motion detectors of the known world manufacturers is considered; their peculiarities and fields of use are indicated. Both the typical structural and schematic diagrams are given. The basic parameters of modern passive infrared motion detectors and their boundary conditions have been determined based on the principle of operation of the detector and the synthetic processing of information from primary sources. The boundary conditions for the number of rays of the near middle and far zones of the pattern of motion detectors are given. Limit conditions for supply voltage, operating temperatures, and consumption currents in different operating modes are also given.
