This paper aims to improve the protection of two-wheelers. This study is divided into two parts: a helmet unit and a vehicle unit. The primary unit is the helmet unit, which contains a sensor, and the second part is known as the alcohol sensor, which is used to determine whether or not the driver is wearing the user helmet correctly. This data is then transmitted to the vehicle unit via the RF transmitter. The data is encoded with the aid of an encoder. Suppose the alcohol sensor senses that the driver is intoxicated. In that case, the IoT-based Raspberry Pi micro-controller passes the data to the vehicle unit via the RF transmitter, which immediately stops the vehicle from using the Driver circuit to control the relay. To stop the consumption of alcohol, the vehicles would be tracked daily. If the individual driving the vehicle is under the influence of alcohol while driving, the buzzer will automatically trigger. The vehicle key will be switched off.

Aerospace equipages encounter potential radiation footprints through which soft errors occur in the memories onboard. Hence, robustness against radiation with reliability in memory cells is a crucial factor in aerospace electronic systems. This work proposes a novel Carbon nanotube field-effect transistor (CNTFET) in designing a robust memory cell to overcome these soft errors. Further, a petite driver circuit to test the SRAM cells which serve the purpose of precharge and sense amplifier, and has a reduction in threefold of transistor count is recommended. Additionally, analysis of robustness against radiation in varying memory cells is carried out using standard GPDK 90 nm, GPDK 45 nm, and 14 nm CNTFET. The reliability of memory cells depends on the critical charge of a device, and it is tested by striking an equivalent current charge of the cosmic ray’s linear energy transfer (LET) level. Also, the robustness of the memory cell is tested against the variation in process, voltage and temperature. Though CNTFET surges with high power consumption, it exhibits better noise margin and depleted access time. GPDK 45 nm has an average of 40% increase in SNM and 93% reduction of power compared to the 14 nm CNTFET with 96% of surge in write access time. Thus, the conventional MOSFET’s 45 nm node outperforms all the configurations in terms of static noise margin, power, and read delay which swaps with increased write access time.

Abstract The main reason for robots in agriculture are saving the time and energy required for performing repetitive tasks and increasing the productivity. The turnover rate in rubber plantation is high and youngster nowadays refuse to work in this industrial. This project aims to build a small-scaled automated robot prototype for collecting latex cups in hopes to reduce the dependency of labor in collecting latex. It was fabricated by using 3D printer and consists of transmission system, linear actuator robotic arm and a storage tank. It was analyzed through static test and balance test for mechanical stability. The robot developed can perform auto-navigation with proper calibration on the transmission at flat terrain, and able to control the 3 Degree of Freedom (DoF) robotic arm on the prototype to grab the latex cup smoothly. Ultrasonic sensors are used to locate the rubber trees and movements of the prototype. The robotic arm and the base are controlled by an Arduino Uno and motor driver circuit respectively. A magnetometer was implemented to ensure the prototype could move straight throughout the process. During test, the prototype was placed in front of two “rubber trees” (imitated by water bottle) to let it retrieves the model latex cups and extract the liquid inside. The results showed that implementation of magnetometer enabled the robot much more consistent in the moving direction and proper delay time used for the navigation of the robot. The prototype is able to automate basic tasks and act as fundamental design for future development.

This paper aims to build a smart lighting system with applications such as remote for controlling power supply and optimizing heat management in the metal body of the semiconductor diode and with a printed circuit board for agriculture. The semiconductor diode strips with multiple colors are lined up and configured as a LED lamp with proper casing and heat sink. It has a driver circuit with required power regulation that is able to control the intensity of light for photosynthesis and plant growth requirements. The system uses hydroponics to plant the water, thus decreasing the usage of fertilizers. The entire system is controlled remotely using necessary communication interface application.

RS485 interface is widely used in the area of industrial control and remote meter reading, which are often subjected to serious electrostatic damage. A new On-Chip TVS (OCT) structure without extra process modification and a novel electrostatic discharge method for RS485 transceiver IC have been proposed. It is composed of a serie of Zener diodes and fabricated in 5V/18V/24V 0.5µm CDMOS technology. A 100ns pulse width of the Transmission Line Pulsing (TLP) test is performed for this proposed OCT. The driver circuit itself can work as an ESD device as well. The OCT trigger voltage is compatible with the signal level of RS485 standard. The OCT device protection level of human-body-model (HBM) is up to 16.34kV. RS485 transceiver integrated with OCT has also been tested in order to verify its reliability. The results indicate that it can pass the IEC61000-4-2 contact ±10kV stress and IEC 61000−4−4 Electrical Fast Transient (EFT) ±2.2kV without any hard damages and latch-up issues. The RS485 transceiver integrated with the OCT allows error-free data rate transfer up to 500 kbps. The chip occupies a silicon area of 2.4×1.17mm2.

The use of lighting loads is one of the crucial matters which increases every year. The increasing use then leads to the development of brighter and longer-lasting sources. In addition, the conventional use of lighting loads today, which only emit light at its maximum intensity, does not allow the consumers to adjust the brightness level as needed. Consequently, this condition may cause energy wastage. The LED lighting system is gaining popularity as it is widely used in a wide range of applications. The advantages of LEDs, such as its compact size and varied lamp colors, replace conventional lighting sources. The linear setting of the driver topology using the flyback converter was aimed to control the LEDs with a constant current in order to adjust the variation of the LED light intensity. The closed-loop driver circuit with flyback converter topology was designed as an LED driver with a given load specification from the LED string. A dimmable feature was included for adjusting the intensity of the light produced by the LEDs. Eventually, the fuzzy logic controller (FLC) method was applied to the integrated change setting to obtain a dynamic response.
