End of Line Resistor (EOLR) is a resistor that has a certain value to protect the circuit at the end of a loop or zone. The End of Line Resistors is used in security systems to enable the control panel to monitor wiring of open and closed. In this research using an Arduino microcontroller and Passive Infrared (PIR) Motion Sensor that connected with the systematic circuit to supervisory a loop or zone. Systematic circuit use combination of the resistor as the end of line resistor and voltage divider method. Analog input on Arduino uses to detect different states of sensors. The 1K resistor in series with the sensor line provides some protection for the input pin against the unexpected current flow. The 4K7 pull-up resistor, when combined with the resistance provided by the sensor, acts as a voltage divider, exposing the analog input to a different voltage depending on the state of the sensor. The result of measurement viewed by serial monitor function on the personal computer. PIR Sensor connected with an analog pin on microcontroller running well and there is no significant voltage value changing.

Motion detectors are sensors that record movement in a certain area. This study proposes the evaluation of three motion detectors, using the Arduino microcontroller to execute orders to the sensors infrared, PIR (passive infrared sensor) and ultrasonic, to determine the obstacle detection behavior against different objects. According to the tests carried out and the theory presented for each sensor, we have found that the most efficient sensor for object detection is the PIR, due to its scope and viewing angle, which represents being feasible and more reliable to implement; for example, in security systems.

This paper explains the design and implementation of home security systems using the most widely deployed enhancement to the 802.15.4 standard, which is better known as Zigbee. Home security systems nowadays are expensive and complicated to install. Two types of sensors were used in this project, motion sensor and magnetic door sensor. These sensors were used as the end device to detect any intruder. If any intruder bypasses the motion sensor or the magnetic door sensor, a signal will be sent to the system and the alarm will be triggered together with Graphical User Interface (GUI) display on a personal computer. The performance of the designed system was analyzed in terms of detectable range and delay. Result shows that the designed system is capable of detecting up to 22 meters of distance for indoor use at maximum delays of 15 seconds. The home security system using Zigbee has been successfully designed, implemented and analyzed.

The inductive voltage divider is usually used and calibrated at no-load situation, but it also used at taking load situation. For example in the situation of measuring voltage dependence of low voltage capacitors and detecting high voltage bridge, the inductive voltage divider need to take two specific capacitors. This paper have researched the influence of specific capacitive load on its ratio and deduced the analytical formula through related experiments and circuit model analysis when it takes capacitor. And use the method of connecting resistor in series to compensate its ratio accuracy to 1×10-6 degree.

A simple sleep monitoring measurement method is presented in this paper, based on a simple, non-invasive motion sensor, the Passive InfraRed (PIR) motion sensor. The easy measurement set-up proposed is presented and its performances are compared with the ones provided by a commercial, ballistocardiographic bed sensor, used as reference tool. Testing was conducted on 25 nocturnal acquisitions with a voluntary, healthy subject, using the PIR-based proposed method and the reference sensor, simultaneously. A dedicated algorithm was developed to correlate the bed sensor outputs with the PIR signal to extract sleep-related features: sleep latency (SL), sleep interruptions (INT), and time to wake (TTW). Such sleep parameters were automatically identified by the algorithm, and then correlated to the ones computed by the reference bed sensor. The identification of these sleep parameters allowed the computation of an important, global sleep quality parameter: the sleep efficiency (SE). It was calculated for each nocturnal acquisition and then correlated to the SE values provided by the reference sensor. Results show the correlation between the SE values monitored with the PIR and the bed sensor with a robust statistic confidence of 4.7% for the measurement of SE (coverage parameter k = 2), indicating the validity of the proposed, unobstructive approach, based on a simple, small, and low-cost sensor, for the assessment of important sleep-related parameters.

The study of methods for obtaining base layers of cadmium telluride for the creation of efficient solar cells on a flexible substrate, intended for backup power supply of security systems and facility control. Considering that the polyamide film is stable up to a temperature of 450 °С, the formation of the base layers of solar cells based on cadmium telluride on flexible polyamide substrates was carried out by the method of DC magnetron sputtering. Using the chosen method, experimental samples of micromodules on a flexible substrate with series-connected solar cells based on CdS/CdTe/Cu/Au were obtained. To understand the effect of the failure of one or more solar cells on the efficiency of the entire micromodule during operation, an analysis of the initial parameters and light diode characteristics of individual solar cells of micromodules was carried out. The design of the micromodules, in which the solar cells were connected in series, made it possible to separately measure their output parameters. It was found that the creation of a Cu/Au rear tunnel contact made it possible to obtain high values of the output parameters for individual solar cells, but the micromodule contains a limitation by a shunted solar cell. However, the greatest role in reducing the efficiency of the entire micromodule is played by ineffective absorption of radiation when passing through the polyamide film, which led to a decrease in the efficiency of the entire micromodule, in which there is a shunted element, to 3.9 %. The maximum efficiency of the obtained samples of micromodules was 5.3 %

This project aims to develop a measurement of solar energy using Arduino. In this research, two parameters that been measured are light intensity and the voltage. The light intensity was measured using light dependent resistor (LDR) sensor. The voltage was measured using the voltage divider because the voltage generated by the solar panel are large for the Arduino as receiver. These parameters as the input value for the Arduino and the output was display at the Arduino Bluetooth Controller. The Arduino Bluetooth controller display output of the light intensity and the voltage value. The purpose of using Arduino is to convert the analog input of parameter to the digital output and display via Bluetooth .

This study aims to create a security system that can work when motorcycles are parked or are being driven. Most congenital motorcycle security systems work only when the motor is parked, such as the security of the ignition key and the handlebar lock. In fact, not infrequently theft is done by robbing a motorcycle that is being driven by owner. Then made a system using Arduino microcontroller platform, GSM SIM800L module and mobile device. The system created consists of three MODE, the MODE PARKIR, MODE JALAN and MODE MANUAL that can be selected through mobile devices with Bluetooth connection. In MODE PARKIR there are two sensors that detect the theft action, the vibration sensor SW420 and Voltage sensor. If the ignition key is successfully broken or there is a motorcycle on the motorcycle GSM SIM800L module will give notification in the form of SMS and phone call. For Roadside mode the motorcycle ignition system will be activated automatically and the owner can directly use the vehicle without having to manually activate the ignition. When the motorcycle is seized the owner can turn off the vehicle engine by pressing the Stop button on the mobile device and GSM module SIM800L will send the coordinates of the nearest BTS.
