Green Tourism Marketing Model research as efforts to develop environmentally-friendly tourism destination, the synergy of government, business and community participation become the driving force of tourism product development with highly competitive.In the long term, this research aims to provide the marketing concept of green tourism as economic development effort and strengthen the environment (eco-growth) through the development of green tourism marketing models. The object of this research is achieved by (1) mapping a superior product green tourism; (2) generating a model of the development of green tourism marketing; (3) applying a model of development of green tourism marketing by groups of the local communities of the tourism business, (4) developing a model of green tourism marketing with quality function development (5) building green tourism areas; (6) involving the government to formulate laws/policies about tourist area of green zones and patterns of tourism business development for local communities which are optimal in economic development based on environmental sustainability (integrated eco-growth green tourism); (7) international publications in the journal of hospitality and tourism research (powered by Scopus) and (8) a draft of the green tourism marketing textbook. The methods of the research were conducted by (1) theoretical analysis of mapping superior product of green tourism; (2) identification of issues based on data in the field; (3) the development of green tourism models with test instruments; (4) achieving experiments in a limited test model, (5) the improvement of models and instruments; (6) implementation of the model (7) foster the spirit and commitment to building small business tourism (8) the establishment of the concept of the green tourism area. Therefore, the starting point of this research is the development of green tourism marketing models in developing this area of green tourism that can encourage the growth of tourism businesses that have the capability to create a multiplier effect for the improvement of employment opportunities and increase opportunities of tourism community welfare. The mix methods of quantitative and qualitative used in the research are achieved by three stages; stages of development and design, the pilot phase in a limited scope and validation phase in the form of an experimental analysis of the most effective to encourage the existence of green tourism marketing models into an embryo of a growing area of superior products of green tourism which are needed to integrate the development of tourism industry based on environment for both economic sustainability, social and cultural community and environmental resources itself.

Green tourism is defined as environmentally friendly tourism activities with various focuses and meanings. In a broad term, green tourism is about being an environmentally friendly tourist or providing environmentally-friendly tourist services. The green tourism concept would be highly appealing to tourism enterprises and operators owing to increasing governmental pressure to improve environmental performance by adopting effective and tangible environmental management techniques. Green tourism is a form of tourism involving visiting fragile, pristine, and relatively undisturbed natural areas, intended as a low-impact and often small scale alternative to standard commercial tourism. Its purpose may be to educate the traveller, to provide funds for ecological conservation, to directly benefit the economic development and political empowerment of local communities, or to foster respect for different cultures and for human rights. Green Tourism has been considered a critical endeavour by environmentalists, so that future generations may experience destinations relatively untouched by human intervention. Furthermore, the achievement and promotion of internationally recognized environmental awards would be instrumental to the tourism enterprises in marketing their services. As a result, many concerned and responsible parties put forward recommendations for green tourism products to regulate tourism’s negative impacts. This conceptual paper attempts to discuss the green tourism concept its processes as well as explain approaches of green tourism industry can legitimately open up new areas for the more discriminating and wider range of the market, and tourists or visitors can enjoy the holiday they want with a clear conscience. Responsible green tourism programs and plans include those that minimize the negative aspects of conventional tourism on the environment and enhance the cultural integrity of local people. Therefore, in addition to evaluating environmental, social and cultural factors, an integral part of green tourism is the promotion of recycling, energy efficiency, water conservation, and the creation of economic opportunities for local communities. For these reasons, green tourism often appeals to advocates of environmental and social responsibility. Marketing people -all in public, government and private level specialists- working in the tourism sector, should configure the best green solutions for the current and future strategies. The real green alternatives are needed to suggest a new perspective(re-thinking process) about tourism marketing strategies.

‘Green tourism’ is defined as tourism that enhances local cultural elements, which are operating under the control of local communities, providing employment and maintaining economic benefits within the local communities. In fact, many times the above definition is poorly utilized, since there are times when the economic benefits dim from local communities. Tourism industry uses the term as a message to tourists on energy saving, avoiding coastal pollution and so on. Sometimes, the same tourist businesses are accused of using the term or labelling ‘green’ primarily for marketing purposes. Although it is a fact that tourism industry is starting to respond to the changing values of tourists regarding environmental issues, however, the purpose of this research is to infer if there is a future for sustainable tourism development concerning the enterprises that provide sport tourism in Greece.

Merauke is located in the eastern part of Indonesia that is rich of natural and cultural resources  potential for tourism. Tourism could be a solution to reduce poverty, especially through community-based tourism. Communities reap economic benefits from tourism industry by the increase of local income, hence the social welfare. On the contrary, poor management may lead the emerging Merauke tourism into environmental ecosystem damage. Such a threat to environmental sustainability outweighs any economic benefits because future generation will suffer from the inherited damaged environment. This article will discuss Merauke community participation in fostering the development of sustainable tourism through community-based tourism, that is maintaining sustainability of the environment and ecosystem while considering local communities sociocultural conditions. In doing so, this study uses a descriptive-qualitative approach. Data was collected from document tracking and interviews with Merauke Regional Government, WWF activists, and community leaders. The findings indicated that local communities supported Merauke tourism by developing entrepreneurship in tourism industry, increasing community social control in protecting the environment and enhancing the role of local customary leaders in supporting the tourism development.

This chapter reveals the overview of sustainability; the overview of environmental sustainability; environmental sustainability and climate change; environmental sustainability, water resources, and energy consumption; and the overview of sustainable tourism. Sustainability is the important issue that attempts to bridge social science with civic engineering and environmental science with the technology of the future. Environmental sustainability is important because it ensures people have water and resources, and adopting its practices protects the environment and human health. Sustainable tourism is a growing segment of the global tourism industry that makes the positive contributions to the environmental, socio-cultural, and economic well-being of destinations and local communities around the world. Sustainability, environmental sustainability, and sustainable tourism are rooted in three issues that are considerably linked to fossil fuel depletion, climate change due to carbon dioxide emissions, and the increasing costs of energy and water.

Shyamnangar upazila one of the potential developing upazila of Satkhira district. Addressing social aspects is very important for any sorts of development effort. The best possible use of land resources; therefore, the socio-economic aspects of Shyamnangar upazila have to be addressed to gain optimum economic benefits from agriculture, forestry, fisheries, tourism and industrial sector. The socio-economic transformation of this upazila significantly depends on the performance of the agricultural sector. Besides agriculture, fisheries, tourism, industry, weaving and livestock farming are also playing vital roles in the socio-economic development of this upazila. Although this upazila has not yet been experienced in planned industrialization but, there are some small and medium industries which are contributing largely to the socio-economic development. Over the last 10 years, the socio-economic condition of the upazila is gradually rising. The current state of the components of the environment, the resource-recreational potential of the Rohatyn district of Ivano-Frankivsk region are analyzed. It is noted that the district has a sufficiently high integral indicator of anthropogenic environmental loads, nature management here is often irrational and ecologically unbalanced, and natural resource efficiency is rather low. The basis of restructuring of the economy of the Rohatyn region is to lay its investment and innovation model, taking into account the peculiarities of the region's potential, in particular the efficient use of its natural resource component. Although the Rohatyn region is not a rich region for natural resources, scientifically sound rational use of these resources should be an essential prerequisite for further socio-economic development. The absence of significant reserves of mineral raw materials gives rise to the search for another model of economic development of the region. At the same time, one should not forget about landscape and recreational resources, mineral water reserves, certain types of mineral resources. Such a model of its time was implemented in other regions through the formation of an appropriate sectoral structure of the economy, when the faces of economic development were determined by the sectors of processing of agricultural raw materials, agricultural machinery, services. Further development requires the development of programmatic actions to restore once destroyed production capacity, as well as the functioning of businesses that focus on the use of local resources. It is established that Rohatyn region has considerable potential for the development of the recreational and tourism industry. It is necessary to develop tourism infrastructure; to develop a holistic tourist product that is able to satisfy the needs of international and domestic tourism to the maximum, taking into account the natural-climatic, recreational, socio-economic and historical-cultural potential. As a central part of the Opilia region, the Rohatyn district has considerable historical and cultural potential, which should be more actively used for the development of cognitive tourism, for national and patriotic education of the population. Therefore, it is necessary to contribute in every way to the development of rural green tourism, which can be based on the use of both natural and historical and cultural resources of the region. To do this, it is necessary to contribute in every possible way to the preservation of unique places of nature, the creation of new and the discovery of little-known historical and cultural monuments, to develop patronage.

This chapter investigates the complex relationship between socio-economic development and environmental sustainability by focusing on one of the most vital natural phenomena: the water cycle. Considering the current public awareness of climate change and the growing number of natural disasters, focusing on this topic provides a better understanding of weaknesses and bottlenecks that 21st-century society faces daily. This work presents three case studies, different from each other but conceptually interconnected. The first case concerns the situation of lakes in the world, whose water in many cases is at risk of disappearing. In the second instance, we present the growing socio-economic risks generated by floods. Nowadays, floods play a fundamental role in influencing socio-economic development due to the dislocation of economic activities in Southeast Asian countries. Finally, we discuss desertification affecting large areas of the African continent. One aspect of great interest is the Grande Muraille Verte project promoted by numerous countries. Reforestation of large arid areas is the main issue; the attempt is to support local communities to implement agricultural and livestock activities. Socio-economic and environmental sustainability and resilience are the main challenges that countries, regions and local communities are facing.

<p>Establishing sustainable and responsible speleotourism development is a major challenge and involves complex activities. Adequate theoretical starting point is the application of geoethical values related to the conservation and protection of the caves to be used for touristic purposes. Positive and negative cases of human behaviors towards speleological geoheritage are discussed, in order to highlight what should be done in cave management to avoid malpractices and on what elements could be founded adequate strategies aimed at promoting sustainable speleotourism. This is important to tourism management organizations involved in the promotion of caves and in creating economic opportunities for local populations, while respecting cave ecosystems. Modern cave management must be focused on the protection of the cave ecosystems, finding ways to achieve at the same time an economic development of local communities. But this approach needs the adoption of a geoethical framework of values to be shared by all stakeholders involved so that successful cooperation can be achieved despite differences in interests and expectations. The aim of this paper is to raise the awareness about the need to apply the values of geoethics to speleotourism, stimulating new fields of discussion within the scientific and technical communities involved in studies and activities related to geotourism and geoheritage. The possibilities of developing new ways to manage caves, in order to promote a sustainable socio-economic development of local communities, have to be balanced with the protection of natural environments as much as possible. The proposed theoretical frameworks have the goal to increase the discussion on the best ways of connecting speleotourism to sustainable and responsible cave management, presenting two case studies, and pointing out potential solutions.</p>
