Este artículo analiza algunas de las posiciones que los papas asumieron frente al proceso de la independencia hispanoamericana. Interesa observar cómo las transformaciones de la transición del siglo XVIII al XIX condicionaron la lectura de los pontífices enfrentados a una nueva cultura política liberal, republicana y laica y las amenazas al orden tradicional en un período de aceleración de las dinámicas históricas en el naciente mundo atlántico. Dentro de problemas específicos surgen el patronato, la cuestión del reconocimiento de los nuevos Estados republicanos hispanoamericanos y el intento por comprender, desde una nueva perspectiva, el porqué del establecimiento de Estados   republicanos confesionales en vínculos con la Iglesia católica, apostólica y romana, y la no aparición de Iglesias católicas nacionales a lo largo y ancho de la América hispana. Abstract This article analyzes some of the positions held by the popes about the process of Hispanic American Independence. Noteworthy is the analysis of how transformations brought about by the transition from the XVIII to the XIX century, conditioned the pontiffs’ beliefs when faced with both the new liberal, republican and lay politics and the threat to traditional order in a period of acceleration of historical dynamics in the new Atlantic world. Among specific problems, this article covers the birth of patronage and the acknowledgment of the new Hispano-American republican states. Finally we use a new perspective as an attempt to explain why states throughout Hispanic America developed into confessional republics linked to the roman apostolic catholic church instead of creating their own national catholic churches.

Seventieth of XIX century were very hard time for Catholic Church in Polish Kingdom. Mainreason was aim for independency in Poles’ hearts. Deeply connected with polish nation, Churchsuffered because of Tsar’ political repression. Although different stages of its history are not closelyconnected with post uprising’s repressions.Report of French General Consulate in Warsaw bearing a date 1869 stress accent on samekind of the Catholic Church persecutions, which were undertaken against bishops and dioceseadministrators, and some of them were died during deportation on Siberia, north or south Russia.Hierarchy was put in a difficult position. They had to choose or to subordinate so called Rome CatholicSpiritual Council in Petersburg or stay by the Apostolic See side. Bishop Konstanty Łubieński isacknowledged as the first Victim of that repressions.Outlook upon history of persecutions, which is presented, shows not only Church but pointsout harmful consequences Russia’s politics in the Church and society of the Polish Kingdom. Polish Catholic Church -Ecumenical Contexts Polish Catholic Church operates in its parishes as well as ecumenical cooperation with other Catholic Churches. Moreover, there is also an important ecumenical dialogue conducted with the Roman Catholic Church. Polish Catholic Church is also active in the Polish Ecumenical Council.

The creative activity of Mykhailo Mykhailovych Verbytsky, as one of the brightest representatives of the national elite of the period of the Ukrainian cultural revival of the XIX century, was traced. The importance of the social-cultural mission of the artist, a priest of the Greek Catholic Church, a public figure, the founder of professional music in Galicia and the founder of the national school of composition in Ukraine was emphasized. A representative of the artistic elite, the famous composer M. Verbytsky was a model of professionalism in music and, very importantly, a bearer of national and cultural ideas. The article raises the question of the significance of the creation of the anthem song "Ukraine is not dead yet": the words of P. Chubynsky, the music of M. Verbytsky. The famous musicial composition, the words and melody of which united more than one generation, united Ukrainians around the world, influenced the formation of identity and awakened national consciousness. Working on the creation of a majestic song, the authors realized that the songs-hymns encode political levers, which reveal the potential for democratic development of the nation and the consolidation of citizens. After Ukraine gained independence, the text of the anthem was approved, with simultaneous editing, and in March 2003, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law "On the National Anthem of Ukraine" to the music of V. Verbytsky, P. Chubynsky's words "Ukraine is not dead yet, and Glory, and Will "– is one of the most important state symbols. Emphasis is placed on the fact that M. Verbytsky is the author of music for the National Anthem of Ukraine and his life choice, active social activity and creative work carried out a social-cultural mission. The talented composer, spiritual mentor, patriot M. Verbytsky realized the value of what he was doing, worked selflessly and sacrificially, promoting the position of self-affirmation of Ukrainians as free and self-sufficient people.

The Polish-Soviet War, particularly the Battle of Warsaw (13–25 August 1920), soon became a subject of legend and myth. Irrespective of its fundamental political significance, the defeat of the Red Army was glorified as salvation for both Poland and Europe in military, ideological and metaphysical terms. Conducted beyond academia, the narrative was forged mainly by veterans, the Catholic Church and various forms of literature and art. Due to government subsidies, documentary and feature films also conveyed a normative notion of these dramatic events and their participants. This article focuses on cinematic works like Dla Ciebie, Polsko [For You, o Poland, PL 1920], and Cud nad Wisłą [The Miracle on the Vistula, PL 1921] produced in order to commemorate the war between the Poles and the Bolsheviks. Taking the iconic turn, this article scrutinises the cinematic self-portrait of the Polish nation that had already been ‘imagined’ as a bulwark of European culture in the East by earlier literary works. Spotlighting protagonists who were given a place in the pantheon of national heroes, it also asks about those who were denigrated or marginalised like women and Jews. Finally, using quantitative methods and Geographical Information System (QGIS) as a tool, the article juxtaposes the maledominated, ethnically and confessional homogeneous ‘imagined nation’ with the film entrepreneurs and actual cinema audiences characterised by their diversity.

Pensar en la administración como un conjunto de conocimientos organizados y sistemáticamente construidos para explicar la especificidad de una disciplina ha sido un esfuerzo aun no terminado de más de un siglo de autores que desde finales del siglo XIX hasta estas primeras década del siglo XXI han venido construyendo el discurso teórico de la administración. El presente artículo hace un pequeñorecorrido por los diferentes intentos de organización de dicho conocimiento desde la reflexión de los tres componentes que constituyen una epistemología a saber: su objeto de estudio, su cuerpo teórico y su relación con las demás ciencias sociales para el desarrollo de un método. A partir de dichos elementos, en la tercera parte del artículo se arriesga una propuesta de construcción epistemológica en elconocimiento administrativo acudiendo a la filosofía integradora de la teoría de la complejidad. La metodología seguida para realizar el artículo fue la de revisión documental y concluye que la potencialidad de la administración como práctica social y conjunto de herramientas de gestión y dirección puede ser pensada como un campo epistemológico flexible y abierto a las relaciones de transdisciplinariedad que se presuponen necesarias para una comprensión integral y dinámica de larealidad.PALABRAS CLAVEPensamiento administrativo, epistemología, teoría de las organizaciones, acción humana. ABSTRACTThinking about administration as an ensemble of organized and systematically constructed knowledge in order to explain the specificity of a discipline has been an unfinished effort of more than a century of authors who since the late XIX century until the first decades of the XXI century, have been constructing the theoretical discourse of administration. The current paper makes a brief tour through thedifferent attempts of organization of such knowledge, from the three components reflection which compose an epistemology as follows: its object of study, its theoretical body and its relationship with other social sciences for the development of a method. From these elements, in the third part of the paper, it is taken the risk of making a proposal of epistemological construction in the administrative knowledge,turning to the conciliatory philosophy of the complexity theory. The methodology used to carry out the paper was the documentary review, and it concludes that the potentiality of administration as a social practice and a set of management and leadership tools could be thought as a flexible epistemological field, open to the relations of transdisciplinarity which are presupposed to be necessary for anintegral and dynamic comprehension of reality.KEYWORDSManagement thinking, epistemology, organizational theory, human action.

The article highlights the ways of resolving family conflicts nobles and peasants in the first third of the XIX century in the Russian Empire, against the background of the ongoing systematization of legislation. Based on examination of the letters and memoirs of the nobles and peasants we highlighted the methods, which are actually used to solve family conflicts. I conclude that nobles and peasants rarely used help of the state in resolving family conflicts. The sphere of family relations was sacred for these estates; therefore, they did not rope the authorities into family conflicts. I have identified the following ways to resolve family conflicts: duel; marriage, often in the form of a secret wedding; going to the monastery and punishing the unfaithful wife; different approaches to raising children by peasants and nobles. The author of the article pays attention to passivity of the peasants in resolving their family conflicts. The results of the study allow exploring the alternative ways of resolving family conflicts based on representatives of other classes of Russian society in the first third of the 19th century (clergy, merchants, philistines, foreigners) as well, using wider range of sources (journalism, normative acts, fiction, paperwork). This analysis contributes to the discussion about the limits of the government intervention into family affairs. The author of the article redlines that people did not trust the law and resorted to the personally legitimate sources of dealing with family conflicts. This conclusion presents a new perspective in the discussion of legal nihilism and real application of the law in life

Resumen: El monasterio de Santa María de Vallbona ha sido, desde su fundación, el centro cisterciense femenino más importante de Cataluña. No obstante, su estado de conservación se ha visto muy afectado desde inicios del siglo xix, debido a acontecimientos provocados por la convulsa situación social, política, y económica de España, algo que perduraría hasta la Guerra Civil. La situación se vio agravada por la alarmante situación económica de su omunidad, que impedía realizar las intervenciones más necesarias en un momento donde la conciencia patrimonial era casi inexistente. En este artículo se tratan las intervenciones realizadas en el edificio por parte de Alejandro Ferrant Vázquez, arquitecto conservador de la Cuarta Zona entre 1940 y 1976. Sus obras de restauración supondrían, para el monasterio, un acondicionamiento general de su estructura después de la Guerra Civil y el programa de restauración más amplio y completo realizado hasta entonces en el monumento.Abstract: The monastery of Santa María de Vallbona has been, since its foundation, the most important cistercian feminine center of Catalonia. However, its state of conservation has been severely affected since the beginning of the xix century. The multiple events caused by the convulsive political, social and economic situation until the Spanish Civil War, aggravated by the alarming poverty of its community, prevented the realization of the most necessary interventions as at the time patrimonial consciousness was almost inexistent.This article covers the interventions done in the Monastery by Alejandro Ferrant Vázquez, conservator architect of the Fourth Zone between 1940 and 1976. Hisrestoration works supposed the general reconditioning of the structure after the Civil War and represented the largest and the most complete restoration program of the monument until that moment.

This article analyses the responses of the Catholic Church in Croatia and Italy to the refugee crisis, particularly the churches’ discourses on human rights issues and positions in public debates on refugees and migrants. Although both Catholic churches followed the Church’s teachings on ‘strangers’, associated with providing concrete help to people in need, the Catholic Church in Croatia pursued what can be classified as a charitable approach, while the Catholic Church in Italy followed solidarity and utilitarian approaches. Equally, the Catholic Church in Croatia remained a silent public actor in the refugee crisis, while the Catholic Church in Italy became a prominent actor in public debates, engaging with human rights discourses. The selective and ambivalent uses of human rights discourses emerged as a factor in understanding these two churches’ different positions on refugees and migrants.

This essay aims to present a detailed account of the restoration of the Catholic Church in Shanghai during 1979–1981 and then to explain how the arrests and suppression of Catholic leaders in late 1981 solidified the division between the official and underground Catholic churches. Two of the major factors that lead to the reemergence of the Shanghai Catholic underground community were the release and rehabilitation of veteran priests and other Catholic leaders and the dissemination of a 1978 Vatican decree that gave great latitude to the church, which was functioning in “difficult circumstances.” The essay ends with a discussion of current prospects of the Catholic Church in China.
