This paper aims to explain the relationship between the variables of Principal Leadership (PL), Extracurricular in Schools (ES), Parents’ Participation (PP), Community Leaders (CL), and Border Area Development (BAD) on Strengthening Character Education (SCE). and Strengthening Character Education (SCE) on Improving Tolerance (IT) and Pancasila Student Profiles (PSP). This paper is a case study in the state border area in West Kalimantan Province which is carried out in 6 (six) Senior High Schools. The main data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires with a sample size of 180 grade 11 students at the school who were obtained randomly (random sampling). Analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of the LISREL 8.70 program. The results showed PL, ES, PP, CL, and BAD on SCE, while SCE had a positive effect on IT and PSP. On the other hand, efforts to strengthening character education need to pay attention to the strength of indicators that contribute to each of these influence variables, including: the vision of the principal's character education, the availability of teaching staff / experts to support character education, provision of educational facilities character, socialization to increase awareness and tolerant behavior by involving non-formal leaders, attention to development that leads to increased understanding of differences in beliefs and ethnicities, and indicators of the availability of character education teachers in competent schools. Emphasis on these indicators will increase student tolerance and foster the profile of Pancasila students.   Received: 9 April 2021 / Accepted: 19 August 2021 / Published: 5 September 2021

The research investigated whether teachers’ participation in decision-making (PDM) contributes to the development of affective trust during school reform over time, or vice versa. A model including principals’ interpersonal skills was tested during implementation of the organizational reform. Teachers ( n = 1,482) from 113 Israeli elementary schools participated in the first measurement, and 1,390 teachers from 106 of these schools participated in the second measurement. A cross-lagged design for 2 years showed that PDM leads to affective trust over time. Furthermore, PDM mediated the relationship between principals’ interpersonal skills and affective trust over time.

This study is an attempt to understand the relationship between narcissism and job satisfaction in the context of teachers in a university set-up. Previous research has considered narcissism as a personality disorder and considers it unhealthy for organizations and individuals. In order to understand the construct of narcissism, and how it impacts on job satisfaction, 560 university teachers out of which187 females and 373 males were chosen from public and private higher educational institutions of India. The data was collected by administering a standardized questionnaire and the results were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The findings of the study suggest that extreme narcissism and healthy narcissism lead to a significant increase in job satisfaction.

Empirical research considers teacher collaboration to be an important predictor of outcome variables at the student, teacher, and school level. Principals are responsible for shaping teachers’ work environments, and in doing so, they can strengthen and support teacher collaboration. Drawing on social interdependence theory, we hypothesized that teachers’ collective efficacy has a mediating effect on the relationship between principal leadership and teacher collaboration. We collected data from 630 teachers in 29 primary and secondary schools in Germany and found, based on structural equation modeling, that principal leadership had a significant indirect effect on teacher collaboration, mediated by teachers’ collective efficacy. We discuss the implications of these results for supporting school improvement.

This research is a case study to help identify the driving factors of e-commerce acceptance by small businesses in Keranggan Village in Indonesia. This study argues that factors such as technology-organization-environment need to be strengthened by network capability from business actors so that e-commerce adoption intention emerges.  From the total samples of 100 business actors in Keranggan Village. The study utilized Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 3.0 for data examination. Consequently, the relationship of technological context with e-commerce acceptance is mediated by significant network capability.

Some academics are pushing for teaching staff to implement didactical practices to obtain sustainable behavior. Moreover, a fundamental element of gamification in all educational stages is the noteworthy effect it has on student motivation. In our study, we examined higher education students’ assessments in the University of Malaga on the design of educational gamification and the teaching criteria that relate to gamification, and its effect on student’s motivation, the applications of gamification, and the attitude towards sustainability. A questionnaire was administered to students studying for degrees in education from the University of Malaga. A total of 187 valid surveys were obtained. Partial least squares structural equation modeling was computed for these data based on an exploratory–confirmatory model and using SmartPLS version 3.3.2. A positive relationship between assessment of students’ motivation and sustainability attitude was found. We found that the opinions of the students about the role of their training and teaching design material in education would affect students’ motivation and the sustainability behavior, although the power of this last construct is moderate.

Drawing from the Technology Acceptance Model, this correlational study was intended to determine student users' adoption of WebCT and its relationship to their final grade. In acknowledging the relevance of human-computer interaction, the author attempted to investigate a belief-attitude-behavior relationship in a WebCT setting. Given a social learning approach, two external variables affecting the relationship were taken into account. The qualitative inquiry involved two large-sized undergraduate hybrid courses with a total of 469 students participating. To model both direct and indirect causal effects as well as measurement error, path analysis was conducted, using structural equation modeling. Implications for practitioners and researchers and addressed.

The services sector—an essential pillar of Taiwan’s economy—accounts for 59.2% of the country’s employment and 63.2% of the national GDP. With individualism gaining momentum, many people employed in the booming services sector are seeking autonomy in their workplaces, where increased interaction time among colleagues underlines the importance of collaboration. Conflicts are inevitable in these interactions, particularly in today’s diversified society that embraces different ideas and values. Building on prior studies of intragroup conflict, we construct a model that depicts the relationship between financial services workers’ work autonomy and intragroup conflict. A questionnaire survey of workers in Taiwan’s financial institutions is conducted and 266 valid samples are collected. The empirical results obtained through structural equation modeling tests and analysis indicate that work autonomy negatively affects intragroup conflict.

The purpose of this exploratory and analytical study is to answer the question about the relationships between education inputs in the educational process and the quality of graduates. For this question, exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and Structural equation modeling (SEM) are the two major statistical approaches used for scale purification and data analysis. The population for this study is composed of 460 graduate students and 195 faculties from 7 main tertiary institutions across Vietnam and 153 employers in Ho Chi Minh City. The findings from the study indicate that there is a relationship between faculty, curriculum and entrant students to the graduate quality. The research has implications for universities, faculty, and employers in Vietnam. Several recommendations are suggested for further research in Vietnam or other developing countries.
