Supporting mental health has nowadays become the main concern of employers since a growing number of employees is facing the problem of anxiety, loneliness, depression and the like. These problems were particularly emphasized with the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. In significantly changed working conditions around the world, employees and employers have faced mental health problems that are related to numerous stressors and factors related to the pandemic. Given the circumstances, the question is how to protect the mental health of employees in order to preserve their productiveness and well-being after the crisis. The legal system has a very important role in this process, especially the regulations concerning occupational safety and health and labor law in general because it sets the framework which enables the subjects of employment to maneuver their rights and obligations during the pandemic. Therefore, this framework is a key element in taking occupational safety measures in order to preserve the mental health of employees.

The purpose of this qualitative study, which uses a constructivist approach, was to explore the impacts on mental health counselors of counseling convicted sex offenders. Five participants were interviewed using a semistructured format. The data were analyzed using a phenomenological method by breaking down the interviews into themes, comparing the participants' experiences, and determining the essence of those experiences. Themes identified were feelings of increased competence, closeness, and support from coworkers and supervisors; belief in a mission or responsibility for safety; disconnect from general society; intrusive thoughts of traumatic material; and increased suspicion of others. The findings suggest that mental health workers experience both positive and negative impacts from counseling convicted sex offenders. The research and practice implications for counselors are discussed.

The purpose of this research to know the influence of safety and health work of the performance of workers the “One Galaxy Surabaya” project. This research including research quantitative , by using kuisioner a gatherer data , sample used is 100 employees “One The Galaxy Surabaya” project, analysis data using test simple linear regression. Based on 6 spss test, obtained the results of the of the respondents, valid responses it is reliable, scattered normal, data does not happen multikolinierity, does not happen heteroskedastys and there is the influence of between health and occupational safety and. employee performance. There is the influence of health and safety work (X) against employee performance (Y) it is proven with the value of the importance of 0,004 smaller than the probability of 0,05 and known the value of r square 0,662. as much as This value containing the sense that the influence of health and safety work (X) on performance employees (Y) reached 66,2 % while 33,8 % the performance of employees affected by other variables that are not researched health and safety work (K3) have been implemented in an optimal so as to improve the performance of a construction worker“One Galaxy Surabaya” project

Basaglia’s impact in Brazil has been very significant not only in social and healthcare, but also in the world of culture, art, politics, and science. Two aspects can help us to assess this impact: the law of psychiatry reform, and the popularity of Basaglia among activist patients and mental health workers. To evaluate the background to this influence, this chapter refers to three key things: Basaglia’s trips to Brazil, as documented and according to the memory of witnesses; the published book of the talks of the meetings; and the invitation expressed by Basaglia to directly know the practice of Trieste. Finally, in order to analyse the reasons for the impact, the chapter refers to the strength of collective thought, the power of critical thinking, the focus on whole life, and great communicative ability. It concludes that Basaglia’s thoughts are, at the same time, radical and democratic.

COVID-19 pandemic has spread across the world, which considered a relative of the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), with possibility of transmission from animals to human and effect each of health and economic. Several preventative strategies and non-pharmaceutical interventions have been used to slow down the spread of COVID-19. The questionnaire contained 36 questions regarding the impact of COVID-19 quarantine on children`s behaviors and language have been distributed online (Google form). Data collected after asking parents about their children behavior during quarantine, among the survey completers (n=469), 42.3% were female children, and 57.7 were male children. Construction workers, their unions, and the construction industry face important challenges in addressing substance use disorders and mental health issues. To examine these issues further, we spoke with Chris Trahan Cain, Executive Director of CPWR—The Center for Construction Research and Training, a nonprofit organization that is affiliated with North America’s Building Trades Unions and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. As the chair of the North America’s Building Trades Unions opioid task force, she has been working with construction unions and employers to develop primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention methods to help combat the opioid epidemic, other substance use disorders and to improve worker mental health.

Violence against women (VAW) is currently one of the main problems in El Salvador, which leads the ranking of femicides in the world. We conducted the first national survey on VAW in El Salvador following the World Health Organization (WHO) methodology, to determine the impact of violence on women’s mental health ( N = 1,274). Women who had experienced intimate partner violence showed significantly poorer mental health and more suicidal ideations. Common mental disorders were significantly associated with the experience of all forms of violence, after adjusting for sociodemographic variables and stressful life experiences. The results are discussed in connection with the primary care protocols and the design of public policies.

COVID-19, caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2), was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) on the 11th of March 2020, leading to some form of lockdown across almost all countries of the world. The extent of the global pandemic due to COVID-19 has a significant impact on our lives that must be studied carefully to combat it. This study highlights the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown on crucial aspects of daily life globally, including; Food security, Global economy, Education, Tourism, hospitality, sports and leisure, Gender Relation, Domestic Violence/Abuse, Mental Health and Environmental air pollution through a systematic search of the literature. The COVID-19 global lockdown was initiated to stem the spread of the virus and ‘flatten the curve’ of the pandemic. However, the impact of the lockdown has had far-reaching effects in different strata of life, including; changes in the accessibility and structure of education delivery to students, food insecurity as a result of unavailability and fluctuation in prices, the depression of the global economy, increase in mental health challenges, wellbeing and quality of life amongst others. This review article highlights the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown across the globe. As the global lockdown is being lifted in a phased manner in various countries of the world, it is necessary to explore its impacts to understand its consequences comprehensively. This will guide future decisions that will be made in a possible future wave of the COVID-19 pandemic or other global disease outbreak.

This paper presents basic information on a structure and function of biological membranes. Types of biomimetic membranes modelling properties of biological membranes were introduced. The method of testing surface properties of a lipid monolayer, which is the basic type of biomimetic membranes, was described. The presented method makes it possible to evaluate the effect of nanoparticles on the surface activity of biomimetic membranes based on the determination of the surface index MA. This article discusses the problems of occupational safety and health, which are covered by health sciences and environmental engineering.
